Note: I have only read Falling from Gravity by K.K. Allen but can’t wait to dive into all the other stories in this anthology!
I’m so in love with Tobias and Amelia!
I’m a sucker for best friend’s brother romances and this one is no exception! Amelia and Tobias feel a pull towards each other when both of their lives feel like they’re falling apart. Tobias stumbled upon a lie that disrupted his entire life while Amelia is trying to figure out what the picture of her future looks like. After spending just a few days with each other away from everything, they start to feel a bit more grounded together. What happens when the attraction becomes too much?
With K.K.’s signature angst and heat, I fell in love with both of these characters and am dying for their story to continue when Defying Gravity releases!
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
***The Accidental Hookup by Claudia Y. Burgoa***
This novella is part of this amazing anthology. In this story we meet Miller and Claire , 2 persons who couldnt be so different from each other but they will find in a situation when one of them needs a favor from the other , and all of this story happened in the beautiful Cancun. And they think they will have to do the favor for just a few days, buy maybe after they know each other things can change.
this is a short story with funny and sexy moments that will make you want to read the whole anthology, because lets be honest who doesnt want to read 14 stories about a spring fling??
Some Beach by Harloe Rae is sassy and sizzling as this story takes you on a fast paced roller coaster of finding that one person to hook up with on spring break. I absolutely loved the banter and the characters as they tumble in and out of bed but also the little quirks that they have! Then the moments of realization hits them of some things and I couldn’t help but giggle. I honestly hope we get more of these two because they were so sweet together!
Falling From Gravity by K.K. Allen
I loved Center of Gravity so I was so excited to read this novella. I loved Amelia and Tobias and the connection they share. They open up to each other about secrets and dreams of the future on their trip to Big Sur. Just these few days together; can it change everything for them? I can’t wait for Defying Gravity to get more of Amelia and Tobias!!!
The Accidental Hookup by Claudia Burgoa is one of the stories in The Spring Fling Anthology.
This novella was a short, fun read yet it had just the right amount of feelings in it to have you hooked from start to finish. You will like these characters and they will have you invested in this story in no time. Miller and Claire had great chemistry and I was amused at their banter and really wished this was a full length novel.
This fake girlfriend story was well-written and engaging. It was a fantastic read and I would highly recommend it.
Falling From Gravity by KK Allen was another novella that I absolutely enjoyed. This best friends older brother story held my attention as Amelia and Tobias ended up being perfect for each other. Their banter though non existent at first, ended up being amusing, the steamy scenes were hott, and there were a couple of emotional moments in the story. However through it all I was rooting for this couple and I loved seeing them open up to each other. This was a fantastic read and I would definitely recommend it.
This review is for Single In Paradise by Leslie Pike.
Single In Paradise by Leslie Pike was such a fun and steamy read. One cancelled wedding. Four male friends heading to the planned bachelor party to let off some steam. Five female friends heading to a bachelorette party. One sunny destination. All kinds shenanigans.
The minute Parker sees Natalie he is completely taken by her and the feeling is mutual. Their chemistry is off the charts and they enjoy their time away. When it is time to come back to reality, Parker wants to explore what they can be, but just out of a bad relationship, she may not be ready yet.
Single In Paradise was a quick read with a lot heart. I loved not only Parker and Natalie, but all their friends as well. Parker and Natalie lit up the pages with their steamy chemistry. And that ending was just perfect!
4.5-stars. Loved it!
Happy reading!
This is an amazing collection of short and steamy stories.
My favorite is Some Beach by Harloe Rae. Some Beach is so hot and amazing. Rae definatly knows how to make her readers crave more. If this was a full length novel I would have devoured it
I loved The Accidental Hook Up by Claudia Burgoa. Miller and Claire are absolutely hilarious. Miller is in desperate need for a pretend girlfriend to bring to his sister’s wedding in Mexico. The lovely and sassy, Claire (who just so happens to be Miller’s employee) is the perfect match for him. Her Star Wars references about Miller had me cracking up and their comedic banter with each other was on point.
The Accidental Hook Up is an enjoyable, flirty and sexy novella that I just couldn’t get enough of. I also enjoyed the other novellas as they were well written and entertaining. And what’s not to love about wonderful stories written by talented authors!! I highly recommend getting your fling on with this book!
This review is for K.K. Allen’s contribution, Falling From Gravity.
I loved everything about this story and now I am counting down the days until the release of Defying Gravity and the continuation of Amelia and Tobias’ story.
Amelia is a high school senior who loves to dance and wants to dance professionally for the NBA. Toby is her BFF’s 19 year old brother, and the town’s former golden boy and basketball star. A year ago, he walked away from the sport and college. Though they have been a part of each other’s lives for years, they rarely interact with one another. One broken down car and a ride to LA sets them on a new path and may very well change their lives.
Amie and Toby, over the course of a few days, discover friendship and passion. But is this Spring Fling meant to last? Oh, I can already tell that Defying Gravity is going to pull at my heart in all the best ways!
Lei’d in Paradise by Bethany Lopez:
After one disastrous first date, I didn’t think Carmen and Bran would ever get together. I’ve been wanting their story since this series began and this quick vacay to Hawaii was just what I needed.
These two are so cute and I love how perfect they are for each other. Something crazy always happens in the Cupcakes series and Carmen’s story is no different. She’s the perfect friend for Lila and I was laughing so much in this novella.
*This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*
This review is specifically for K.K. Allen’s Falling from Gravity. Wow, K.K. never ceases to amaze me with the way she pulls me in with her words! If you love a forbidden romance, you will fall head over heels for Amelia and Tobias. And did I mention that this story involves dance and basketball?!?! Seriously, Amie and Tobias will leave you cheering for more as their inconceivable love blossoms during their spring fling! I cannot wait to see how their story plays out in Defying Gravity. #bringiton #nothingbutloveforKK
I loved Falling From Gravity from KK Allen. It was a little forbidden. A little secret. A lot sexy and most of that is the dance moves Amelia does. I love the links provided to see what the inspiration for her dances are. I love that she and Tobias get to explore a new relationship outside of the little crushes they had on each other. They are both full of passion for their dreams and that comes out in the pages. Can’t wait to see where their story leads them.
My review of this anthology is for Single in Paradise by Leslie Pike
I’ve read all of Leslie’s stories and this one is as good as all her others. It is a short and sweet story about two people who meet on a plane as they’re traveling to their vacation. Natalie and Parker hit it off right away and their chemistry is explosive. They do talk about many things and when their vacation is over, they’re left with a lasting impression from the other. As I mentioned, this story was short, yet it didn’t feel rushed nor did it leave you with a sense that something was missing. The story line flowed and progressed in a natural way, giving you enough that you are left wanting to see these characters again in a future story.
This is a wonderful collection of short romantic reads. Fun, steamy and perfect for when you are short on time, relaxing at the beach or pool or just need something on the lighter side to read, this fun collection makes a great choice. I found Some Beach by Harloe Rae to be delightful. Harlyn and Foster simply sizzle together and their scenes together made you feel like you were in the tropics.
*Some Beach Review*
Argh! Harloe Rae brings the fun and sexy with Some Beach! You want a quick spring fling… then this is the book for you! You have the heroine that needs her R&R after a dry spell. You got a hero that is ready for just fun. But when fate interferes, these two are just meant to be.
Some Beach is a fun read for Spring Break! I loved this short story and the characters which will has me begging for more!

Phew this novella is hot y’all!!
I was instantly hooked from the beginning with Parker and his friends fun banter. This novella follows two sets of friends heading for some fun in the sun and end up all paired off with each other for one wild trip! I enjoyed getting a peak into all the friends and their fun times together, but Parker and Natalie as our hero and heroine, their chemistry is off the charts! I love how hooked Parker was at first sight of Natalie, and they fit so well together right away. He absolutely had me swooning over him, and woah baby he does not disappoint in the bedroom! Leslie had me hanging on with every chapter and loving every bit we got, knowing it was an anthology quick novella I was expecting to be left wanting, but she tied it together very nicely for us which I appreciate. I would absolutely LOVE to see more of Parker and Natalie, as well as these other fun couples in future if she chooses to do so cause all of the characters were so great!
4.5 Stars!
I read & reviewed MY BEST FRIEND’S HONEYMOON by Grahame Claire that is part of the Spring Fling romance anthology.
Smithe Abbott is a librarian who lives in Atlanta, Georgia. When her best friend is left at the alter she decides she doesn’t want her honeymoon trip to go to waste, and invites Smithe for a girls trip full of fun and relaxation. Smithe boards a plane for Antigua, and her friends misses the flight. Now she’s headed to a couples resort alone. Her horrible day just keeps getting worse with one disaster after another, including clashing with a gorgeous, annoying man on the plane.
Hale is headed to Antigua on business, and needs this trip to go well. What he isn’t counting on is the beautiful, feisty woman he meets on the plane. When they run into each other again on the island he tries not to act in his attraction, but he wants her desperately.
A honeymoon that isn’t there’s, a beach bungalow in paradise, and two people with so much chemistry and sexual tension they feel ready to combust. Hale & Smithe are wound up every time they are near, and soon some no strings pleasure is inevitable. They are uninhibited and it’s pure bliss. Both feel more alive than they have in a while, but soon will both return to their lives back home and part ways. Will they be able to let go of one another when the time comes?
My Best Friend’s Honeymoon by Grahame Claire is part of the Spring Fling romance anthology. Spring Fling is fourteen authors, and fourteen never-before-seen novellas. I read the novella by Grahame Claire, and absolutely loved it! I’ve read all their books, and this story is my new favorite. It’s a sexy beach romance that is smoking hot but we also get a beautiful love story.
Falling from Gravity by K.K. Allen
4.5 Cranky Stars
Amelia dreams of being a dancer. Gravity is her home and it’s there she can finally be free. She has always harbored a crush on her best friend’s brother Tobias. When she invites herself on his camping trip for Spring Break it’s here where they are really forced to talk about life and how they feel.
Tobias was dealt a heavy blow and tossed away his basketball career. Now he’s drifting but the one constant in his life is his little slice of heaven up in Big Sur. When his sisters best friend invites herself along on his trip, he knows this probably isn’t a good idea. He starts to realize his feelings are returned by Amelia and it starts a series of firsts for them.
This was such a sweet but steamy read. I can’t wait to get more of these two in a future book! I liked that they took a chance on each other despite his sisters warning. I want more and I can’t wait for Defying Gravity and to go on this journey with them.
This review is for Some Beach by Harloe Rae.
Rules can’t be broken if they never exist in the first place.
Recipe for a fling:
Three simple words
Two complete strangers
One tropical beach
Zero expectations
Harlyn and Foster are two college kids on Spring Break in Cancun, both looking for a simple hookup and to have some fun. The chemistry they both feel is undeniable but neither expect much from the other, as they both know they’ll be parting ways and returning home soon! Or will they?
Harloe Rae never ceases to amaze me with her words! Some Beach is a great & quick read. I recommend it to everyone!
This review is for Bethany’s Lopez’s Lei’d in Paradise. I love this series and I was super excited to get more of it. This short story is Carmen and Bran’s. I think a lot of us will relate to Carmen in this story. It’s a quick read but a totally enjoyable one as there is also a bit of sleuthing thrown into the romance (and bits of humor) …and we get to see more of Cade’s parents!!!
I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a little bit of escape.
