Spoiled. Adj. destroyed, damaged, or no longer able to be used.CallumWhen I move to a small town from the big city, my plans are simple. Get my co-owned coffee shop off the ground and work on my baggage. Alone. My plans are shot to hell when wealthy frat brat Ashton Keyes stumbles into Cafe Crave. Drunk. That’s all the warning sign I need to stay away from the self-destructive boy. But he’s … the self-destructive boy. But he’s everything the Daddy in me craves and I can’t walk away.
Ashton
Everything hurts. The lies. The perfect image. The fake smile. Only when I’m drunk do I find relief. Until the night I meet Daddy Callum and decide he’s mine. But, he has strict rules for us to be together, and his punishment is unlike anything I’d ever experienced. Is it enough to keep the darkness at bay, or is it too late to be saved?
Spoiled is the first book in the Spoiled Perfection duet and is not meant to be read as a standalone. While book 1 ends with a hopeful HFN note, book 2 must be read for a full resolution and the much anticipated HEA.
Perfection, the second book in the duet will be released in June.

As part of duology this does not end in HEA or even a strong HFN but it gives such a strong promise for a fulfilling lasting relationship between two broken men if they give it a chance. This is a heartfelt love story with Daddy/Boy dynamics. It’s very steamy, full of angst and tears, full of difficult matters that author, I think, presented beautifully. There is no “right” way to write about alcoholism and the struggle that characters face. Every author gives it their personal touch apart from well known facts. Ms Holmes didn’t sugarcoat nor did she diminish the damage or issues that did and will arise again between Daddy Callum and his Boy Ashton during Ashton’s attempts at recovery. I felt for Ashton. He had his demons clawing at him that he tried to forget at the bottom of the bottle, but my heart wept for Callum, his pain and what he endured and continues to go through still. Such a generous and selfless man! Ms Holmes mixed in some serious heat in between the anger, lies and pain, and wow it was hot HOT! I enjoyed reading this story so much! I can’t wait to go through the troubles with these men again! I liked the MCs, the intense feelings and the twist in the end I so didn’t see coming. Copy received for my honest and unbiased review
It’s a wrenching story that can really resonate with anyone that has been on either side of the coin.
Beautifully written- self love is more important then having someone love you but it can take time to figure that out when your not taught that.
I don’t know how to start this review, because the book totally deserved 5 stars, so I am going to try to translate to words my experience: I enjoyed this book a lot, the characters are wonderful, the plot is interesting and the author is knowledgeable enough about Daddy / boy dynamics that she used it as the twist in the plot and the cause of all the conflict. However, the book also conflicted me a lot because its intensity… Yes, the book is intense, …. really, really intense… the dialogues and the situations are difficult to read and so emotional charged that I reached a moment in which I couldn’t cry anymore… So, the experience reading this book was Wow!… just…WOW!! I can’t wait to read book 2 to find out if after the HFN at the end of this book, they are able to get a satisfactory HEA.
I received this book from Gay Romance Reviews and I am voluntarily leaving an honest opinion.
A Daddy/boy, age gap dynamic, which I love!
Callum has been burned before, he thinks he can’t go through that again. Ashton just wants to be seen and loved for who he is, inside. He just doesn’t want to be used because of what he has, money.
Any level of angst is still angst to me, and this beautiful story has it! You will love these characters though, they are both strong in their respective ways!
I absolutely LOVED this poignant, powerful, grab-you-by-the-feels, heartbreaking yet hopeful, make-me-shed-tears-of-both-joy-and-sadness, emotionally charged, tug-at-your-heartstrings, amazing, intense, steamy, and totally awesome story. It had me hooked from beginning to end, and I would definitely recommend getting this marvelous gem ASAP.
Living a life of privelage doesn’t guarantee happiness.
Ash has never been held accountable for his actions and he’s crashing and burning in the most spectacular fashion as a result.
Callum is also harboring a lifetime of pain and while Ash calls to him, being with him is also slowly wearing him down.
They have scorchingly hot chemistry between them, and are each perfect for one another in their respective Daddy/boy roles.
They’re going to have to do a lot of soul searching and some growing up if they’re ever going to move on from causing each other pain in order to be the best version of themselves the other needs and deserves.
This is book one if a duet so it does end on a cliffhanger.
This an emotional story about two broken men that fate throws together. Ms Holmes does not sugar coat the demons Ashton faces or the results of his alcoholism. You feel every punch, emotion, and pain in the emotional rollercoaster you take reading this story. And Daddy Callum pain and hopelessness is so raw and open. You want to root for them to get together and sometimes you don’t. But both are written so beautifully that you just can’t help fall in love with both and end up rooting for the HEA. And the chemistry between them was seriously HOT. And this blended so we’ll into the story, without diminishing their struggles. Sex did not fix everything but definitely was very steamy. This is the first part to the story and I’m anxiously waiting for the next one.
Rarely have there been a boy that needed a Daddy as much as Ashton. Spiralling out of control in almost every aspect of his life and drowning in his own guilt and self-hate. And while he have already set his eyes on the perfect one, it’s not an easy catch.
Much like Ashton, Callum have his own troubles and a past that have put him on guard but he is unable to resist the chaos that is Ashton.
The two are perfect together, even in their worst moment, more Ashtons than Callums, they fit and trudges ahead even with everything that works against them.
I can’t wait to read the last part of their story.
Ashton is a rich playboy that has an alcohol problem, but it has a deeper meaning. Callum co-owns a cafe shop that Ashton comes into one night when he’s drunk. He comes in everyday attempting to get Callum to respond to him. They eventually start at relationship, but Callum has rules that Ashton must abide by. They both have had a painful past. This story had a lot of emotional feels to it, lots of angst.
I definitely can’t wait for the next installment. This does end with a somewhat HFN.
I am voluntarily leaving a review form an ARC that I received from Gay Romance Reviews. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
When you first meet Ashton you get the impression that he’s just a rich boy that enjoys partying and drinking and doesn’t care about anything else. One night, after another party he meets a cafe owner, Callum, and he wants him. He pursues him and they eventually start a relationship. Callum has rules and hard limits because of a previous relationship that almost ruined him. As the story progresses we find out more about both characters and what makes them act at the way they do. The amount of pain Ashton has to live with every day just broke my heart. I honestly didn’t know if they would make it as a couple. Ashton made one destructive decision after the other. The book ends with a HFN and the sequel will come out soon. I can’t wait for it. I know it’s going to be hard reading it but hopefully they’ll get their happy ending because they really deserve it.
I loved it very very much even if it made me cry.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
