Family ties prove deadly in this brilliant Jesse Stone novel from New York Times bestselling author Robert B. Parker. The body in the trunk was just the beginning. Turns out the stiff was a foot soldier for local tough guy Reggie Galen, now enjoying a comfortable “retirement” with his beautiful wife, Rebecca, in the nicest part of Paradise. Living next door are Knocko Moynihan and his wife, … door are Knocko Moynihan and his wife, Robbie, who also happens to be Rebecca’s twin. But what initially appears to be a low-level mob hit takes on new meaning when a high-ranking crime figure is found dead on Paradise Beach.
Stressed by the case, his failed relationship with his ex-wife, and his ongoing battle with the bottle, Jesse needs something to keep him from spinning out of control. When private investigator Sunny Randall comes into town on a case, she asks for Jesse’s help. As their professional and personal relationships become intertwined, both Jesse and Sunny realize that they have much in common with both their victims and their suspects—and with each other.

Typical from this author. Really original story. Very entertaining.
Parker is The BEST !
As good as any of the other Jesse Stone books. Easy reading from the very beginning. Flawed characters are interesting.
I love anything Robert Parker!
Twisty, wry, good Jesse book.
I’ve loved Robert Parker for years and like being able to get him on my nook
Movies are better.
Fantastic Author!
I love Robert B Parker. Always an interesting read. This is one of his early books, but we worth the time.
Typical but entertaining Spenser book.
I like this series, but this one was pretty formulaic and sordid. It was fine. Don’t go out of your way to read it, but if you are enjoying the series, then go ahead…
robert parker is definately a favorite author
such great characters in all of them
I have enjoyed all the Spenser novels. Always felt like I knew the characters. Sorry Robert B. Parker has passed away.
Standard Robert B. Parker creation. Eminently readable.
It’s been so long since I read Split Image I can’t evaluate it. I’ve read every thing Robt. B. Parker has written. I also read everything written by those who took over his death.
So happy other writers keep his legacy alive.Thank you
Good Parker.
