I knew that I couldn’t go wrong with a book that had a Viking warship on the cover, and I was right! A chocolate shop, a Viking’s angry spirit, cats and others who are sensitive to spirits are the main interests in this very interesting story. Loved it!
When Magda decides to make a Scottish whiskey truffle she doesn’t expect to get an angry Viking ghost trapped in a piece of wood with the whiskey ! With raspberries to find for a raspberry truffle, a wedding to plan and a robbery to content with she just doesn’t have time to deal with this angry Viking. As the Viking brings a destructive gale for wind with him she is forced to deal with him. I loved this book and series! I especially love getting to know the characters better. It was exciting to see new romances bloom! It was nice to see those who have lost their love ones become content and happy knowing they will be reunited again and are in fact still with them. This book had plenty of mystery, action and love. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series! I highly recommend this light and enjoyable book!
“Spirit Magic- Chocolate Magic Cozy Mysteries Book 2 “ by Olivia Swift is a tale of Magda and her fiancé Sam’s spirited adventure with a cantankerous Viking with an attitude problem …. issues with new and inventive truffle recipes and upcoming wedding plans …all of which make this 2nd installment of the Chocolate Magic Cozy Mysteries series ….a delight to read. Much enjoyed and Highly Recommended!!! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book.
Absolutely entertaining. Magda and Sam find adventure while planning a wedding and running their businesses. The characters are so vibrant. Excellent story line. I was given a copy by the author without obligation. I am providing an honest review.
Sam and Magda knew each other as gawky, awkward kids. Their love needed time to ripen for them to be ready for love and life together.
As mature adults they are engaged and looking forward to a shared life. Of course, as adults, they have their individual homes, pets and businesses.
Unexpected spirits enter the picture as part of Magda’s practice of using elements with a storied background for her truffles. An idea for Scots whiskey filled truffles brings a Viking or two along for the ride.
Moving loves, moving houses and pets, and robbers moving a scary amount of items.
A sweetly spirited romance!
Cute cozy mystery. Wanted a whiskey drink while reading. Need the recipes for what she was making for ourselves. I can eat them when reading the next book. Like the play on words in the title.
This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
Magda and Sam are planning their wedding and it is an exciting time. The shop is doing so well Magda is trying out new truffles and decides one with whisky would be nice. This turns out to be a very special whisky with a ghost attached. That is when the gang gets together to try and find out how to take care of this issue. The characters are diverse and I look forward to learning more about them in the rest of the series. I received a ARC from Lirios Publishing and am leaving an honest review because I want to.
I’m loving this new cozy series! A ghostly spirit arrives with a box of bottled spirits and causes a great deal of trouble. This romance contains enough mystery to make it interesting. The writing is fresh and skillful. The plot is tight and multi-layered and filled with believable characters. It was an enjoyable read and I’m looking forward to future installments. I received this book free and chose to make a voluntary, unbiased review.
I received an advanced copy of this book. This is the second book in the Chocolate Magic series. In this one, Magda decides to make a new truffle, this one with imported Scottish whisky. Unfortunately, with the whisky, comes an unhappy spirit. They must figure out how to make the spirit happy, and continue with their wedding plans. This is a another great book! This can be read as a stand-alone or as part of the series.
Spirit Magic was such fun to read. I am still trying to figure out how I can help Magna with taste testing her truffles. I had to settle for Lindt while reading this book in one sitting. Magda had ordered some special whisky for a new truffle. The whisky arrives with a beautiful old piece of wood – with an angry ghost attached. The gang of friends is kept busy trying to discover why the ghost is sad, how to keep calm since he sets up gale force winds when he is angry or upset, solve a robbery, build a special tree house, find some special raspberries and plan a wedding! Wonderful book with a great cast of characters and another fascinating mystery!
