A good read that has a Native American feel to it with the spirit animals. Intriguing characters and a great story line.
Our heroine is seeing things, animals clinging to ordinary people. She thinks she is going crazy and if she can’t overcome it soon, things are going to get a lot worse.
This is an urban fantasy story with a bit of an Native American flair to it. The story is well written and easy to read with an interesting setting that I would like to know more about. Our characters are fairly solid and fit the story, but also rather pig headed and it takes them a while to connect. Overall, I found it enjoyable and would be interested in reading their future adventures.
Recommended.
I received an ARC from StoryOrigin for review purposes.
Good story, very interesting concept. It was a little hard to get into it at first, but eventually picked up the pace. If you’re into Native American mythology, I’d highly recommend it, if you’re just into paranormal stories, I’d still recommend it and will probably finish out the series.
Spirit Hunger Book One: An Urban Fantasy Paranormal Romance (Series Walker, #1), my third read from author Ella J. Smyth. With the prequels/introductions out of the way the real story begins. I look forward to the next book in this series, they’re that good. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 – July 24, 2018).
Really really enjoyed this book. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. Characters are relatable and you get emotionally attached to my them. Praying that things are going to be ok.
I’ve read and listened to many paranormal stories, but this one really intrigued me. The storyline concept was quite original, incorporating elements from various cultures. With great story flow and characters, it was full of romance, suspense and excellent plot twists. If you like paranormal out of the ordinary, you should give “Spirit Hunger” a try.
I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review
My review is based off the audiobook which I listened to on Author’s Direct. This was a very interesting and engaging story. I have not read many books with Spirit animals in them and I really enjoyed that aspect of the book. Adi and Honi’s relationship developed nataurally and I look forward to seeing if that lasts. The narrator did a fantastic job bringing the story to life. I look forward to more in this series and from this author
LOVE IS WORTH BELIEVING IN AND DYING FOR
An urban fantasy paranormal novel that stretches the boundaries of reality and the spirit world. Adi and Honi are taken into the spirit world to save the Spirit world. Adi is an abnormality as she is white and a spirit walker who doesn’t believe. Their journey into the spirit world is a very intriguing life or death journey.
I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review.
an interesting concept. Ada is just trying to make it day by day without thinking she is insane and has been since she was a kid just because she sees spirit animals that no one else can see until see meets someone else that can also see them.
Good book that combines some Native American mythology with other cultures and fairytales to create a unique story.
I read this book in no time. Just couldn’t put it down and totally loved it!
It’s exciting to get into the spirit world. I haven’t read any paranormal fantasy book like this one. Usually they’re about magic but this one is about different cultures, American Native culture and European culture. Particularly about german cuture and real tales and not the sugar-coated Disney tales.
It’s very interesting to know about the spirtit world and the animals everyone have with them. Our heroine starts having troubles from page one. She’s really stressed in College, has a cruel family and is experiencing scary situtations that she doesn’t undertand.
She meets Honi, a Native American hot male student and is going to class with her and is realizing what’s going on with her and maybe could help her.
Heartbreaking moments, steamy scenes because our main characters have a great chemistry, scary situations and deep emotions are all in this wonderful book.
Beautifully written, I’m definitely hooked to Spirit Walker series and Ella J. Smyth way of writing.
Awesome start to a series with an author I don’t know but will gladly follow just to get more of this story. Adi has no idea who or what she is, which of course is used as a tool against her. There’s animals and no there’s danger as well. Something or someone has stirred up the spirit animals and Adi is at the center of it. Honi hasn’t met another person like himself especially one who isn’t Native American. He’s got to find a way to teach her, save her and not fall in love. Well two out of three isn’t too bad. A great play on the Native American beliefs in spirit animals that I thoroughly enjoyed, The author has great characters and a story that keeps you flying thru the story. I can’t wait for more. Although the story did end this is an ongoing series that can probably be read as a standalone but why miss out on the goodies.
First let me state, I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
When I first started reading this story, it felt a little slow. Then it picked up and became very important that I find out how it would go. My heart broke for Adi, & I could feel Hon’s frustration. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to more, I recommend this read 5 Thumbs up.
Warning this is a spicy book. I would not have read it if I had known that. Honi a Native American meets and Adi a girl from Germany at collage. He finds out that she has a rare Native American. Honi has this same rare gift and was taught by his elders how to use it. She on the other hand was taught that it was just part of her imagination and as she got older that she was insane. This is a great story I just wish they would have left the sex scenes to my imagination.
Interesting story concept and execution that draws from mythology of several cultures. Intrigue, suspense, romance, supernatural, and human greed are just some of the things that make for a story you won’t want to put down. I have book 2 in my reading queue.
