I’m in love with this series. I love that Feehan doesn’t shy away from the paranormal outside the basics we read about all the time (vamps, witches, werewolves) and instead focuses on psychic abilities and bonds to the elements in this series. This one is FAR sexier than the first in my opinion and I loved how steamy it was from the first time the H and h meet. They’re meant to be which is pretty much my favorite trope ever in romance. Fate is my jam. Plus, there are lethal Russian assassins and who doesn’t love a man willing to kill for his woman (in a romance novel at least).
Judith is part of a sisterhood, they aren’t related by blood or marriage, but of a violent past.
Coming together in a support group, the women now live together on a farm, protecting and supporting each other.
Meeting a charismatic man, a young Judith falls in love, and a whirlwind romance follows, but finding out he killed her brother changed all that for her, and so she runs.
Hiding away from the world. Her only comforts are her “sisters” and her talent. She paints, she restores art work and she makes kaleidoscopes.
Stefan is another of Prakenskii brother’s, but he’s not here for his brothers, he’s following a lead, one he hopes will catch him a master criminal.
But meeting Judith in the flesh catches him off guard (he’s seen her in a photo and was instantly attracted, but he’s using her as bait, well that’s what he tells himself)
Have to admit this wasn’t one of my favourite books in this series. But it’s a great addition. We get to meet another Prakenskii brother. And when he marks his woman (they zap the hand and it somehow connects them) they are sealed for life.
We also get to interact with the brothers, when they meet. (Lev and Stefan) it’s not a happy one, Lev thinks his brother is only using Judith, and he will protect her like a sister.
Will Stefan bring violence to Judith’s door? Is he only using her to catch a criminal? And what else is Judith hiding?
A great paranormal romance
A great book. I really liked the characters and how they are connected. This is part of a series but can be read by itself. It will make you want to read the other books.
I am an admitted Feehan Fan! She never disappoints. The word “magical” comes to mind.
I like the different physic abilities of the characters. These women are not blood related, but claim each other as sister and their abilities boost each other. It would be a bonus to have a physic ability to tell you who you belong with, but as humans, would we really listen easily? Feehan has given an excellent story of love and loyal. A story of redemption, even the blackest souls have light in them somewhere.
A wonderful book. Once I started it I just couldn’t put it down. AMAZING!!
Anything by Ms Feehan is worth reading. Read most of her books more than once
This entire series is a wonderful series. Christine Feehan is one of my favorite authors. I recommend just about everything she writes and the only reason I can’t recommend it all is that I haven’t read all of it! But I am working on it
Another sister with a special affinity wins the heart of yet another lethal Russian brother. Nice to see a strong woman secure enough in her femininity to submit part of herself (at times) to the man she loves. He is tender, yet always masculine. Together, they battle the evil men from their pasts each using the skills and unique gifts that they sometimes consider a curse.
Love this author
