“4.5 out of 5 stars!! This book leaves you with more questions then answers, but it was a great lead up story to what will be the final book in this series “Last Sacrifice.” It was…”

The end of this one!! I have to know what is going to happen. So much happened in this book. I just feel for Rose. I also have a soft spot for Adrian. I will be continuing this series.
Reread 4/2021: I was a little more mad at Adrian this time, I think all of the triangle are to blame here. He knew. He knew she wasn’t ready and he used giving her the money to guilt her into trying for a relationship. Obviously he didn’t know *all* of what was coming, but he set himself up to be her rebound and then was hurt when that’s what happened. I’m glad knowing he gets a spin-off to get his shit together, but I don’t think romantically anyone was fair to anyone else in this one.
Ugh, Rose, Rose, Rose. I felt like we really saw her do the right thing with Mason when she realized she wasn’t over Dimitri, but to Adrian she just strings him along for what he can do for her. Whhhhhyyyyy?!?! I felt so bad for him, but bad for her too that she does this to herself and sabotages her own situation with her mercurial moods and poor choices. This was such an interesting read, but I just wanted to smack the characters sometimes
Rose is back at St Vladimir’s Academy – at least until graduation. Then she’ll be off to the Court and her first assignment as a guardian. And out of the protective wards of Academy and Court – where Dimitri can find and kill her.
The man she loves has been turned into a monster. After she failed to kill him in Russia, he has vowed to kill her.
Rose has heard the whisper of a rumour, something to cling to, that there’s a way to cure a strigoi and turn him back to a damphir. She will do anything to save Dimitri.
The stakes are high in this one. Rose is involved with Adrian who is madly in love with her – but she still loves Dimitri. Lissa doesn’t want to be parted from Rose ever again – so will she endanger herself when Rose goes off on a mission to save Dimitri? Other Damphir and Moroi are involved too. And they’re all in danger, one way or the other.
Rose learns so much about herself, what she wants and what she’ll do to get it. She also learns that she has deadly enemies within the Court that will stop at nothing to eliminate her – for good.
An exciting read with plot twists and turns that takes the reader on a fun filled, exhilarating ride.
A must-read for fans of the genre.
The way she wrote these books was amazing. Just couldn’t wait for the next one to come out for the whole series. Loved it to the max.
Spirit Bound, the 5th book in the Vampire Academy series, was a good read, but it was a bit slow. On top of the slow down in the book Rose was with Adrian and that bugged me. Rose loved Dimitri yet she was kissing and almost having sex with Adrian. It made her seem fickle. I liked Adrian but I don’t want him with Rose. Then there was the fact that the whole time she was with Adrian she was telling Dimitri that she loves him and wants them to be together again. I mean I can get that Rose liked Adrian, he is sexy and sweet, but she should have stayed away from him until she was sure her and Dimitri were over. Dimitri was so depressed in this book. I can totally understand his guilt over all the things he did as strigoi. My heart broke that Dimitri kept pushing Rose away. Overall this book was good but I would have like more Rose and Dimitri time. I can’t wait to read the next one!
**I try not to spoil the book**
This book… so much heart breaking. At the start of this book, Rose is back with Lissa, and they decide they are going to jump on the idea of trying to turn a Strigori back to their original state. They do things that would get them in trouble if the wrong people found out. Dimitri came back from Russia and is looking for Rose, because of what she did. This is an amazing book, but be prepared for some heart break. There is only one book after this one in the Vampire Academy series, then it goes to Bloodlines.
