Jack Spirelli, paranormal investigator, public debunker of paranormal frauds, and private fixer for the magic-using community has opened his doors.Jack’s in a crunch. Since he went pseudo-public with Spirelli Paranormal Investigations, his business has sky-rocketed. Debunking the scum who prey on vulnerable targets makes up half his business now. And the rest of his time? Jack’s on speed dial … speed dial with the Texas Lycan Pack, the Inter-Pack Policing Cooperative gives him an occasional ring, and anything that goes bump in the night might just call him with a job.
He needs an assistant, another investigator, and some additional muscle, but maybe the dragon who just walked in and applied will do for now.
This volume contains the first three episodes of Season One. Each is a complete stand-alone story. Episodes 1-3 area also available for sale individually.

Thoroughly enjoyed listening to the audible version of this. Roberto Scarlato has a lovely voice!
This volume contains three episodes, each of which is a complete stand-alone short story.
If you love Jim Butcher or Bendict Jacka then you’ll love Kate Baray. Baray has created a wonderful character in Jack Spirelli, a human paranormal investigator and in his recently hired sidekick Marin, the dragon shifter.
Between them they face out of this world threats from ghosts, dragons, witches, and whatever other magical creatures Baray can come up with or you can think of. Jack goes public with his investigation business, seeing as his junk shop isn’t making him much money. The relationship with the snarky dragon is great, and the partnership evolves over the these first three stories.
Note there are more episodes, which is great! and I think I might just have to go and download them. Kate Baray has a great sense of humour and I loved her writing.
If you like Dresden Files, you’ll be a fan. I’ll definitely purchase any additional books in the series.
First time reading this author and thoroughly enjoyed the 3 books. I read them all in one day…Love Marin the (dragon) and Jack the (paranormal investigator’s) banter, makes it very entertaining and fun…witty, what a hoot…
Kate Barray has not created an original world concept exactly but what she has done it made hers fun. I love it. The stories are almost bite-sized but that nothing to diminish or dilute the pleasure. You will belt through this is you like magical adventure books but there are plenty of them waiting for you to read once you finish this.
Jack Spirelli, paranormal investigator, takes on a dragon as a partner. Their adventures are a roller coaster ride. A fun read.
“Ii can’t shake the feeling the Coven already has eyes on us.” “We pass on this job, and she’s is no longer our problem.” “Ii” ? “she’s is” ?
Easy to read, with a good storyline.
May be I’m too old for this kind of thing.
Engaging. Fun.
Enjoyable way to spend a night kept me up till late reading
A Supernatural lore. The stories are thrilling. The suspense is thrilling.

Jack and his assistant Marin, a dragon, are tasked wth a witch who was fleeing her evil covenant. They find it a lot tougher than they first thought.
This is the third episode in the Spirelli Paranormal Investigations series. This is a great story with non stop action, and unique magical spells that hold your interest until the completion. The characters are well developed, full of personality complete with strengths and weaknesses. The attempt to help the fleeing witch, was a twist on most witch stories. Onward to episode four.
This is a wonderful paranormal series.
good short stories
Fun and easy read. Looking forward to more.
I enjoyed this book very much. The main character is likable without being intense. The episodic mysteries are interesting without involving a practically unbeatable villain, grand conspiracy or end of the world. I ordered the next book in the series
Not really novels…just quick stories.
This is a entertaining series with characters who are likeable and a joy to read. After reading this collection I immediately went and bought the rest of the books.
If you are looking for some lighthearted and fun books try this series.
This series is reminiscent of the Dresden Files, but with a lot less angst and internal whining. The author has a nice style and there’s some humor. I like the dragon character quite a bit, along with the fact that she’s the muscle, not him.
It’s a fun read, and as soon as I finished the first set I immediately bought the second batch. I definitely recommend them.
