I always love the amazing historical depth and breadth of a marquis novel! In this latest WWII installment he gives us a wonderful look at female spies during that time period and how romance came into play! A fun, thrilling read with precise detail and accuracy.
When you want a happily-ever-after and history denies you that , it makes yu curse the tragedies from the past that still haunt us.
I liked that it was based on some real people in history.
Turned out to be a true, tragic story.
Excellent Read!
Wonderful original book! A great blending of fictional and historic characters!
I enjoyed this novel. I didn’t know the portion of history it dealt with. It provided lots of historic detail and background within the plot twists of the story. It was somewhat dry….but I liked it anyway.
This book is many things. I just picked a few. Mostly it’s history, describing the adventures, lives and beneficial work of allied spies and Norwegian resistance in WWII Oslo. It includes life under the Nazis and the Nazis themselves.
But it is structured like a novel and fictionalized with details and conversation the author may infer but couldn’t possibly know . Like the sex scenes. The result is very interesting, needed history that is readable if a little slow at times.
Excellent WW ll Norway Resistance novel about 2 women who were Resistance Heroes.
A very interesting historical perspective of the Nazi occupation of Norway and some of the characters involved.
This was a decent read, i have read many WW2 novels but was unfamiliar with the effects of the war on this part of Europe, so i learned quite a bit.
It was hard to put down. I enjoyed this book. Its one of my favorites this year. I really didn’t want it to end.
Enjoyed the story
A truly great book to read and a story that makes me want to travel to Norway to meet these two now-deceased heroines and give them both loving hug. How I would love to travel back in time and correct the wrongs documented in a book of historical fiction the author has expertly brought to life. I read the book from cover to cover in a matter of hours as I couldn’t put it down.
Great, well-written book with historic significance. Want to read other books by this author–and that’s the best recommendation I can give.
Well researched
Bitter sweet historical and fictional.
An eye-opening look at some dashing spies and heroines during WW II in occupied Norway.
Interesting story taking place in Norway during WWII . The description of the collaboration by the Quisling part of the population
This is a really interesting story. I had previously listened to an audiobook about Agent Zigzag so that character was not new to me. I didn’t know much about WWII in Norway and nothing about the people in the Norwegian resistance that the book tells about. It is quite well written and reads like a novel.
