Spellcasting with a Chance of SpiritsEvery cloud has a silver lining…even in matters of the heart.I can see and hear the dead. I can also talk to animals. As a natural-born witch and medium, I can do a lot of odd things. In most people’s eyes, that makes me a loon. I like to think of it as being unique and eccentric. Plus, now that destiny has brought me back to the town I was born in, I’m not … was born in, I’m not all that different from the supernatural residents of Grimm Cove.
When I find myself being hunted by a dark entity, I turn to the only person who can really help. Too bad he dislikes people in general, would rather keep to himself, and is positive my elevator doesn’t stop at all floors. Plus, he’s not a fan of squirrels which does put a kink in things considering my familiar is one.
Should make for an interesting adventure seeing as how he’s my mate and we’re destined for one another.

Seeing with the heart
Oh My Goddess!! This book is everything I was hoping it would be and so much more. The author took the free spirit that is Marcy and gave her a loving heart that no amount of nay-saying can dim. I love that the connection between the friends keeps getting stronger and how so many parts of this story brought us full circle with the past. Bram is a strong, gorgeous vampire and his heart is way bigger then his past wrong deeds. The author gave him his perfect match and I loved watching how they came together. Between the relationships and the action and danger she is famous for, the author managed to keep me glued to my e-reader until the very end of the book. This book was such an amazing read and I am already looking forward to reading it again. I don’t know who will be the lucky resident of Grimm Cove to find their true love next, but I can’t wait to find out when the next book in the series comes out.
Happy Book Birthday to the ultra-super-mega talented Mandy M. Roth! and a HUGE CONGRATS on making the USA TODAY bestseller list with this release! It’s an excellent read! <3
You don't want to miss this #PWF series!! <3
I love Marcy! We should all be more like her. I love this whole series! Looking forward for the next book in the series!
Marcy rocks! This is an incredibly steamy and funny book in this series. Marcy is her own unique person who is loved dearly by her friends and Bram Van Helsing who is her fated mate as well as a slayer and vampire. Bram is also her friend Dana’s father. While visiting Bram with Dana to research her family history, a dark entity stalks her and brings her to a vault and locks her in. That’s where the sexy action begins as well as the evil. This is a MUST READ!
I loved this book. I laughed so hard reading this book. The funniest part was reading when Austin and Burgess meet. I was laughing so hard I couldn’t breath. If you have read this series you will love this addition to it. If you haven’t what are you waiting for, start reading. This book is just what you need along with the series to take you out of the real world and have a great laugh. If you love paranormal romance than pick up this book.
I loved this!! I thought the first book was phenomenal, this was even better. The humor and innuendo was off the charts and made for a much needed unexpected laugh…… every few minutes!! This was a hugely fun romp that ran the gamut from serious to hilarious sometimes in the same sentence. Thank you!!!!
Marcy is the freaking best. Seriously I laughed out loud so much durning this book! Her hippie free spirit and naiveness makes for a giggle inducing read. Love seeing her story and that it’s so different from the first two! Her past collided with her future and despite the dark and deadly force she finds sunshine and rainbows everywhere even with her mate who most run from lol. The bath scene was seriously the best ever! Great read for Grimms cove can’t wait to see who’s love life is going to be turned upside down next!
Coming home
Ah yes, let’s link many fairytales to this story starting with Van Helsing, the Fae & throw in The Ripper. It’s great fun and Marcy is the key that makes it all work. Just the right amount of snark, add in some family drama and you get this delightful tale.
Spellcasting with a Chance of Spirits: A Paranormal Women’s Fiction Romance Novel (Grimm Cove, #3) I loved this book. Marcy was one of my favorite characters. I love her whimsical ways and how strong she is. Love the relationship between Bram and Marcy.
This whole Grimm Cove series has been a very enjoyable read, Mandy is an excellent story teller, she grabs you and doesn’t let go. I look forward to more stories in the Cove.
3 1/2 stars Not one of my favorites from her. Marcy made the story worthwhile. The bikini story, that girl needs help! : )
Bram and Marcy are indeed made for each other. Abraham (Bram) has watched His daughter and her friends grow up from afar. He doesn’t even realize that Marcy is his mate until an unspeakable evil from his past targets her.
Marcy, she comes across as a free spirited modern day wild child. I have to tell the truth, her character made me LOL quite a few times! She’s a funny only she can pull off. She communes with the dead as a natural born witch, she has a set of skills unique to her as do both of her friends.
She’s drawn to Bram as well. She soon finds out that there are things a hug and bubbles can’t make go away. Both of their past come together for a final showdown that had me turning pages like i had a bionic hand.
HEA. Funny. Mystery and intrigue.
Absolutely Fantastic story by a great author
Spellcasting With a Chance of Spirits: A Paranormal Women’s Fiction Romance Novel (Grimm Cove Book 3)- Mandy Roth
This is book 3 in Mandy Roth’s Grimm Cove PWF series. The first two books were great reads but I have been looking forward to Marcy’s story because she is such a crazy, funny, character who has incorporated her attention deficit tendencies as a part of her quirky personality.
This is a long twisty turning book that often veers off in directions that very creatively. seems to mimic Marcy’s unusual trains of thought. Just being able to write from her POV must have been draining but adds so much depth and reality to her character.
Marcy is unsure what she is exactly, she has a lot of strange powers and is directed by the local coven to check the extensive records at Bram Van Helsing’s estate. The Bram from fictional stories turns out to be real and her mate, as well as one of her best friend’s father (Dana).
Marcy is fearless and has faced off several evil characters in the previous books. Now she has a dark evil presence after her and Bram. She and Bram will need the help of most of their friends and family to figure out the several mysteries going on in the storyline and defeat the dark magic presence out to destroy them.
Marcy is an entertaining MFC although a few too many times her inner, and outer dialogues are quite lengthy and off story. The hippie, nature loving, bubble bath and hugging possible Fae/witch is a lot of fun, her courage is admirable and she embraces her newly growing powers. She also totally can’t wait to accept her mate, Bram, and get the claiming on.
Overall this is a book filled with surprises, fun, suspense and danger, magic both dark and light, awesome characters and packed with a lot of action. It is recommended to read the three books in order, this was a great addition to the trilogy.
Laugh out loud funny and then hits you in the heart! I’ve loved every visit to Grimm Cove and can’t wait for the next!
I definitely recommend going back and reading the last books, or even the last two! I remember enjoying them. This book was a solid stand-alone Reed, but I can tell this book has a lot of references to them that probably would have made it more humorous and engaging to the point that part of me wants to go back and read them now. That may have helped with some of the dialogue that some of the readers refer to as being lengthy. This book definitely kept me to guessing as I tried to put the pieces together, particularly around the ghost that keeps visiting Marcy. There are plenty of hints, but enough to keep me guessing.
I am loving this series I have not read a bad story yet. This is an amazing series and this book was just another good read, this series is hilarious but also more realistic than any other paranormal book I’ve read. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Marcy has been a highlight for me in the early stories of this series. I love her free loving spirit and how she is just herself. She doesn’t try to fit into anyone else’s mold. The pre-Grimm Cove view of Marcy was a wonderful intro into who Marcy is. Bram is in a class all to himself. When these two find themselves facing off against each other and the darkness that has been haunting them, things are certainly interesting. The twists, weaves and bobs that this story go through kept me thoroughly entertained.
While this is the third in the series, it is a stand alone. You don’t have to have read the first two books to enjoy this one. However, reading those will give you a sense of Marcy’s freeness and quirkiness.
Mandy Roth is a wonderful writer and she really outdoes herself with this series. This is another fantastically funny adventure and a perfect escape from the real world. Five stars!
This book was amazing, page turner, steamy, funny and overall must read! The more I read of Mandy’s book the more I get Addicted!!!! Once you pick up you won’t put it down! I’m so happy to get Bram’s story!! Love it!
I really hate to say this, but I didn’t care for Marcy & Bram’s story. I love this series and the characters are fantastic, but I could not connect with this one. It starts off and ends great, but in between it sort of remains flat. It seemed like there was only dialog, although the dialog was very witty and entertaining. I absolutely love Austin and Elis; they are a hoot! I hope they each get a book or at least make their way through the next books. Even though I didn’t connect with the story it is very well written and has some great parts that I love. If you love this series as much as I do you should read this book. I tend to like more action/suspense in my books, but that is just me.
