Well, the story moves at a quick pace. A lot happens in a short amount of time. Very Interesting but too short. It felt rushed. There were so many avenues this story could have taken and what was written was not enough to satisfy my curiosity. I did enjoy the overall story, I just wish there was more time devoted to the lead characters lives.

I was very happy to see that Callista was getting a happy ending after experiencing so much pain and getting her revenge in the previous book. This book was unlike anything I was expecting. It was shorter but still good and added a lot to the previous book and built up a lot to what I’m hoping the next book will contain. A steamy scene.

This is an enjoyable time travel romance with interesting and intriguing characters, both the primary and secondary ones. This was my first read in the series, and it definitely makes me want to go read the rest of the books that came before.

I recently realized how much I love time travel romances and this author writes some of the best I’ve read. In this book we go from the past to the future when the Callista, the Countess of Marin who disappeared in 1818, shows up at a Regency themed ball thrown by Zane the Marquess of Seabrook. He has always been fascinated by his ancestor’s diaries so when he sees Callista he’s thrilled to find out more about her. This is an intriguing well written story with interesting characters, revenge, mystery, romance and twists that pulled me into the story.
This book is part of a series but it is not necessary to read the others to enjoy the story. Callista is a spy during the Napoleonic era. She is finally about to get revenge for the murder of her betrothed when she falls off a balcony. Zane is a wealthy but bored twenty first century British lord. He finds her as she stumbles into his conservatory. He has been expecting her based on his ancestors’ journals but she is completely surprised. It is an interesting journey for her to discover life in the future. A pleasant way to spend a couple of hours.

Usually I do not read a lot of time travel but this had a different spin coming from the past to the future. Lady Callista, the Countess of Marin was focused on revenge and killing the man who murdered her beloved. Just as she was about to kill him she falls out a window and is taking to the current century.
Zane Rossington the Marquess of Seabrook is holding his annual Regency themed masqed ball. But his is just tired of everything and unhappy and escapes to his conservatory. What happens? A lady appears right before him from the past and quickly faints. But there is a connection. He had just been reading about some of his ancestors and is seemed fate she landed with him.
An Entertaining story that will capture your attention from the first page!
Lady Callista Lyon, the Countess of Marin, looked around the ball room at the fancy clothing and elaborate masks. The Comte de Dreux hosted the best balls, but he was the man responsible for ruining her happiness, responsible for killing Edward, her fiancé and the first Duke of Weston, and she would make sure he paid for it. When she confronted him, she pulled out a pistol as they moved to the balcony. He tried to grab it from her as a shot rang out. At the same moment, he pulled out a knife and stabbed her. He went over the balcony and, as she was caught up in the curtains, she also went over and passed out.
Callista’s fall brings her forward through time to Zane Rossington, the Marquess of Seabrook, on the night of his charity ball held in memory of his mother. But Zane was getting tired of the balls and hosting the annual fundraiser. He headed to the conservatory for some peace and quiet, but a bedraggled woman stumbled toward him, her gown torn, her hair a mess. Limping, bleeding and obviously hurt, she needed his help. Her accent and more formal speech caught his attention. Zane had been reading his ancestor’s journals and eventually suspected she may have possibly time-traveled. Does he know who she is? Will she be the one to remove his boredom and give him a reason to enjoy life again? But when will they discover someone else was thrown forward in time as well, someone who could be a danger to her?
I absolutely loved this story and the characters the author brought to life for the reader. The signature touch of humor that I love so much was there in the dialog, and it draws the reader right into the story and into caring for the characters. Grab your copy and enjoy this story. It will have twists and turns to entice you – but will they find a HEA or a bad ending to what was begun 100 years before?
A beautiful story… funny and full of surprises…
Wonderful characters… mystery and … a travel trough the time…
You will love this story and the characters inside…
A book for all!

Linked Across Time
I’ve read many of Dawn Browers books but this is the first one I’ve read in this series or so I thought. Spellbound By My Charmer it is number five out of eleven. I had previously read book six Stolen by my Knave in the six book collection Delectable Wicked Rakes and loved it. The writing in this book seamed different from her other books to me so it took me a little while to get into it. I normally read regencies and I hate when an author throws in a modern term that is out of place with a time. But in this case the blending of the two worked for me but then again that was the object of the story line. Well while I didn’t hate the book I feel I would’ve enjoyed it more had I read the previous books in the series. It seemed sort of disjointed almost like the characters and the story weren’t meshing. I didn’t care for Callistas character. For being a spy even from a different era she was quite ridiculous and at times I felt like I was getting a lesson in espionage and not a very good one. The way things were wrapped up for Ulrich seemed rushed. It all seemed rushed to me even for a short story. While I found the story line interesting the delivery lacked appeal. I normally enjoy Dawn Brower’s books but this one missed the mark for me.

ONE INTENSE ADVENTURE!!!
Enthralling treat! Dawn rocks this baby from the start. A tumultuous wild ride with a surplus of unexpected misfortune and surprising incidents that blasts all of your emotions into play perfectly. Hurdling the trials and tribulations, witnessing the struggle our characters are faced with as the lines blur and a bond grows into unexpected thrills and opportunity. One compelling storyline and gripping plot jolts this baby to life smoothly. All the drama, uncertainty, danger and suspense make for one incredible experience. Twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few bumps and bruises bring this baby together fluidly. One non-stop action packed, fast paced, page flipping delight that grabs your attention and holds it until the last page. The characters and scenes are written in true to life form that brings this little guy bursting to life delightfully. Amazing job Dawn, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
Time travel romances are a favorite of mine to read and the Linked Across Time series is exceptionally well-written. There is always drama, intrigue, and romance. This time we get the story of Zane and Callista. I really liked how Callista gets brought forward almost 100 years into the future and that the villain from her past life manages to have been brought forward also! An unusual twist! Callista is exactly what Zane has needed to relieve the boredom of his life and it does not hurt that he has been intrigued by Lady Callista of the past and here she is in the present and needing his help!!

A great time travel romance.
Spellbound by My Charmer is the fifth book in the Linked Across Time series. This is Zane and Callista’s story after she travels forward in time from 1818 to 2017. A short book, it is well written with drama, intrigue, twists, and romance. The characters are wonderful and have great chemistry.
I would love to read more of this fascinating series.

This is one tremendously enjoyable story keeps you wanting to read more with all the twists and turns abound, unexpected circumstances, unpredictable surprises and misunderstandings. just an amazing fast paced story.
Lady Callista Lyon, widowed Countess of Marin is a skilled spy for the British. When attempting to revenge her fiancé’s murder, she struggles with Ulrich she falls into the future. Lord Zane Rossington, Marquess of Seabrook is bored and trapped at his own masquerade ball. Escaping for some peace in the conservatory he finds Lady Callista wounded and confused and she promptly faints in his arms. Who is she and where is she from? A whimsical tale of another branch of the Seabrook line. Dramatic but full of humour, the characters are both lively and interesting. It works as a novella but would have loved it to be expanded to a full novel.

Driven by revenge, Lady Callista makes it her mission to avenge the death of her fiancé. When she finds herself pulled into the future, she has no way of knowing if she was successful in her “final act”. Now she’s faced with being in an unusual and unfamiliar time.
This is the first story by Dawn Brower that I have listened to, and I’ll definitely be looking for more. What a storyteller… I found myself totally immersed in the storyline.
Sierra Kline delivered a fantastic performance.
Spellbound by My Charmer is a continuation of some characters we have met in previous stories. In this story, Lady Callista Lyon, the Countess of Marin, has fallen forward through time will attempting to exact revenge on the man she believes killed Edward, her love and the first Duke of Weston. In the melee Callista is injured. She then falls over the balcony. She lands in the middle of a regency-style party on the grounds of Seabrook Manor. Zane, the Marquess of Seabrook, finds her and brings her into his manor to recover. How will Callista react to the future? Will Zane’s heart un-thaw? Who will correct all the editing mistakes?
Pros: This book is fun and the characters have chemistry. I enjoyed the fact that they didn’t get married right away. Callista is a no-nonsense woman and Zane is not a romantic. That was a pleasant change. I also enjoy how the character falls forward in time and is connected to other family members. This is a fun thing the author has running through this series. Some of the scenes with Callista seeing modern technology for the first time were very cute as well. It was also a nice surprise that Zane might have been expecting Callista. This is a short, fast read. It has a fairly easy to understand plot and on a depth level of 1-5, it’s about a 3. Not bad for an hour of light reading.
Cons: Editing, editing, editing!!! Sooo many, AGAIN, prepositional misuses!! Page after page after page. And modern verbiage from a lady who would NOT have spoken that way! Why in the world would you have a person from 1815 or whenever, using 21st century language and idioms??? It doesn’t create enough of a barrier between the two protagonists.
Misuse of past and present tense. Misuse of adverbs. In one passage, you don’t really know whose wife Zane had noticed. Why?? Because there is nothing that refers back to whose wife is approaching!
These are Writing 101 mistakes. There is no reason for them to be in these novels. I am glad I received this book and others by this author as ARC reviews because, even though the stories are FUN, I would have been extremely angry to pay for a book this poorly technically written.
Her future lies in the future…
Lady Callista Lyon, the Countess of Marin falls of a balcony and finds herself thrown in the future, landing in the home of Zane Rossington, the Marquess of Seabrook. Although at first she’s confused, quickly she gets used to the different time and she realises that her future is almost 200 years ahead of her time.
Zane is not at all surprised, as has been waiting for her, having read the journals of his ancestor. Their connection is almost instant and as it progresses it becomes sizzling!
With an underlying plot focused on time travel, this quick read adds one more piece to the puzzle of comings and goings of the primary and secondary heros through time. Well written, with minor typos that don’t detract from the story, this is a book that will keep you interested. If you haven’t read the previous books, grab them now, as it’s best to be read in order.

This is intriguing, romantic and entertaining. Zane is charming, bold, amusing and romantic. Callista is determined, independent, brave and strong. After she shoots the man who killed her fiancé, Callista falls off a balcony and finds she finds herself in not only a different country, but a different time. When Zane is trying to hide from his guests, he finds Callista, and she faints on him. When she comes together the next morning and he finds out who she is, he’s excited, he’s been intrigued by her story from the first when he read it. They get snarky, but then Zane gets snarky with Weston too, it’s very entertaining. I love time travel stories, and this didn’t disappoint. I can’t wait to read the entire series.
