Loved it.
This was a fast-paced, suspenseful story. It had great characters and a suspenseful storyline. It kept my attention from the beginning until the end. I would definitely recommend this book.
I have never made it a secret that I’m a huge fan of Janie Crouch Intrigues and the Omega Sector didn’t let me down. From the very first page, Derek and Molly drew me in and I knew their story was going to be a twisting turning one from start to end. I wasn’t wrong.
When you meet Derek he’s taking fire with two other agents. He’s cocky but funny, and you know he’s one of those guys that despite his ghosts, he’s always going to protect the right person and the right country.
Molly, Mousy Molly to the other agents of Omega Sector, is the lab analyst they depend on to save their butts more times than they should. When Derek brings her half-burned-up evidence, he needs her to work a miracle, but all she can do is barely stutter out a sentence. Derek unarms her and for reasons beyond her control, he also ties her tongue. She knows why, but she also knows she would never be able to ask him about that one night without sounding like a fool. No one knows that the moment Molly took possession of that evidence, her life was in danger.
This book is hard to review without giving spoilers because it moves so quickly, so I will say the intrigue and romance are so tightly wrapped up together that you’re at the end of the book before you realize you’ve been reading for hours. The guys at the Omega Sector are hot stuff, but the women doing the work to keep them alive is even sexier. If you love a fast-moving intrigue with lots of action, but also a ton of heart, you have to start the Omega Sector Critical Response series.
Special Forces Savior is a fantastic romantic suspense by Janie Crouch. Ms. Crouch has provided readers with a well-written book furnished with a spectacular cast of characters. Molly is the director of Omega Critical Response Division’s forensic lab. Derek is an Omega Sector agent chasing terrorists that set off a bomb. Molly and Derek’s story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed every page of this book and look forward to reading more from Janie Crouch in the future. Special Forces Savior is book 1 of the Omega Sector: Critical Response Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Another fabulous romantic suspense by Janie Crouch. I loved Molly and Derek’s story so much. Molly has had a crush on Derek for a few years and whenever she is around him, this competent and intelligent scientist, turns into someone who is awkward and stuttering all her words. Unknown to everyone, including Molly, Derek’s feelings are just as strong, but he’s purposely stayed away for her own good. He genuinely believes he needs to protect her from someone like him. This all changes when she is kidnapped, he no longer is able to keep his feelings for her hidden and is determined to get her back. The rescue is intense and kept me on pins and needles to find out what happens next. The romance between Molly and Derek is just as intense and had me rooting for their happily ever after all the way.
Even though I was not 100% convinced of the reasons that Derek stayed away for so long, I really did enjoy this book and recommend it.
4.5 Stars
This is book one in the Omega Sector: Critical Response series and it features agent Derek Waterman and Dr. Molly Humphries. Their relationship is a strange one. It’s not because of her but because of him. One minute he wants her and shows her how much. Then he’ll remember he’s no good for her and stay distant for a year or two but then, will have a hard time staying away again. All this while they both work at Omega Sector. She’s an introvert that doesn’t like conflict, which is why he gets away with his behavior…until now.
The action was perfect! The plot was well thought out and had great flow. The characters were fantastic and loyal. I can’t wait for more.
reat read, the characters Molly and Derek were wonderful. Molly is shy and smart. Derek is alpha and hiding his past. They have a electric connection, can they get fight the bad guys and his past to be together? It is worth the read! I recommend it to all. I received it as an arc and voluntarily left my review.
I really liked this book and it kept me zipping right through the pages. I really liked the main characters and their at times shaky connection. Oh, they wanted each other but big, brave Derek thought he was too dark, too damaged to be with someone so gentle and sweet as Molly. He weakened a few times around her, which really sent such confusing messages to Molly. Each time he would get close to her, afterwards he would put distance between them. Making her wonder, “how did he really feel about her?”. Or was it all on her side? All that tension made her a stammering wreck a lot of the time she is around him. It causes quite of a bit of amusement when other people are around and they come to expect it. Molly hates it because like she points out to herself she is a smart, skilled woman with several degrees. The people at the agency do recognize her brilliance when it comes to her lab.
This book not only has the emotional struggle between the two main characters but action, action, action. It really keeps things moving along. Some of this action is provoked by an enemy who seems to be a few steps ahead of them for quite a while.
This book also has several good supporting cast of people. That includes Steve (their boss) and two men who are not only fellow Omega agents but also got your back friends (Liam and Jon)
I enjoyed this book so much I will be looking for more of the books by this author.
There is a short look into “Tough Justice: Exposed by Carla Cassidy. And it comes out with a punch. Very interesting indeed.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion of it.
I LOVE this book,i couldn’t stop reading even my eyes hurt because all intensive reading.Molly is shy and a bit introvert,Dereck on the other hand opposite. Her hero. Got goosebumbs their chemistry and how protective Dereck is when hell got loose. He risk everything to save her.
HIGHLY recommended. Suspense, action, and romance. Wonderful characters, humor, and great dialogue. Cool heroes and wicked villains but no excessive torture or perversion. Bravo!
Derek Waterman and Molly Humphries work for Omega Sector. He as a critical response agent and she as the lead forensic scientist. When the agents work on trying to find out who is behind a terrorist attack, they find some evidence that may give them the information they need. They get Derek to ask Molly to process the evidence because she would never say no to him. She actually doesn’t say much around him at all because she gets so flustered when he’s around that she can bearly speak. Derek is attracted to her too but hides it.
Shortly after getting the evidence to process, there is an explosion in the lab. Derek is terrified that he has lost Molly. When she is kidnapped he’s even more worried but determined to find her.
This book had me up most of the night. I continually wanted to find out what was going to happen next and just couldn’t stop reading. The writing was so good that I could easily picture what was happening. Some of it was frightening but there were happy parts, too. The romance between Molly and Derek was very subtle. Neither thought they were good enough for the other making it a very slow moving relationship.
If you like romantic suspense, I recommend this book.
