In the state capital of North Carolina, several college students have gone missing, never to be seen again. No bodies, no evidence, not a single clue to go on.Until one of the students survives. When the victim arrives at the hospital where Jade, his sister, works, Graham “Hollywood” Caverly enlists the help of his old friend Brian Glover, mercenary and co-owner of a high-end BDSM club. He’s the … BDSM club. He’s the only man for the job, since Hollywood is stuck in Texas on a mission of his own.
But there’s something about the case that puts Brian on edge, especially since Clarice, his secret lover, is in town photographing an event. Will he be able to catch the killer before he strikes again?
Note from the Author
This novella can be read as a standalone. Brian is one of the four main characters in my Club Alias series. They are a group of Doms who own a BDSM club, but are also mercenaries who work tirelessly to clear up bad guys who slip through the judicial system’s cracks. Those evil people who escape justice with their loads of money and fancy lawyers—my guys take care of them and make it all look like karma.
To catch up on my Club Alias series, you can find them on Amazon in this reading order:
Before the Lie (Confession Duet Book 1)
Truth Revealed (Confession Duet Book 2)
Seven
Rendezvous
You can also find the Confession Duet in a boxed set, both books inside one cover for a special price.

4.5 stars! Although it was a novella, the story and characters felt more developed in a short time. I enjoyed the overall storyline and how Clarice jumped right in to help – that spitfire is full of trouble! The ending was great and has me eagerly waiting for more 🙂
“For such a big, tough man, you have such a good, soft heart, Bri.”
Confession, this is my second Kindle World novella with Brian & Clarice, but I haven’t read the Club Alias books yet. These two really have me chomping at the bit to get a taste of the #DeliciousDoms I’ve been getting small glimpses of as they provide backup for Brian during his missions. And speaking of Brian & Clarice, they are so adorable together. He’s 6’8″ tall and a badass mercenary, but when he’s with her he turns into a pussycat.
When Brian learns the location of his latest mission he’s thrilled to discover that Clarice is already nearby photographing a wedding. He gets to have his cake and eat it too, and I don’t mean wedding cake. Nope, his secret lover is still keeping him in the #FriendZone, even though she knows he wants more. I’m not sure what’s up with that, and I can’t wait to find out.
I really enjoyed putting on my profiler hat and working the case with Brian and his team. But I can’t deny that I enjoyed the sexy banter between #BigGuy and his #Lover even more. Their chemistry is blazing and their sexy shenanigans are very entertaining. I really hope there will be many more missions in their future. These short little stories are very fulfilling, and I’m amazed how much content is packed into them. They always leave me wanting more, but not left hanging. The line forms here…
I don’t have the right words to describe this book so all I’m going to say is I loved it! But then again I love every single book that I’ve read of KD Robichaux’s! She is talented when it comes to writing her stories which is probably why I have all her books oops excuse me make that fixing to own all her books as soon as more hits Amazon.
So if you haven’t had the chance to read any of her work than get after it because I can definitely guarantee you will not be disappointed at all.
Another city, another mission, another glimpse into the life of Brian and Clarice. This time, girls are disappearing from the college and Brian has come to Raleigh, NC at the request of his friend to try to find out why. Clarice is in town on business, and meets Brian for some….shenanigans! This story has some extra plot twists, secrets, and drama built in, and really threw me for a loop at a few points. I didn’t see it coming, and it totally made my heart skip a beat!
As with Rendezvous, this is not a complete romance, and should not be read with that expectation. It is a glimpse into what is coming. However, there is still a mystery to be solved, things to figure out, and bad guys to stop. You also don’t have to read the previous books to keep up with what is going on, but it does add to the overall experience if you have!
I am loving these little bits that KD Robichaux is throwing out there about Brian and Clarice, by way of different Kindle Worlds! This is such a fun idea, and really is building the anticipation of the HEA that has to be coming for them!
