The second in a series but it stands alone very well imho – that is, I read it first and was fine with that.
Not action packed, but idea packed and the whole situation is fascinating on several levels. A first contact mystery story.
This one is pretty high on my top ten best novels of all time list. Or it would be, if I had such a list.
Card’s worlds are amazing! He writes sci-if like a philosopher, but the action and the stories are still mesmerizing. You always keep thinking about his books even after you’ve finished!
I just enjoy the characters created and the exploration of truth being a healer.
Thought provoking
Orson Scott Card is a genius.
But Ender’s Game is still his best
