The second book in a trilogy about three “brothers” and the girls they must protect.Kade Kingsley is sick of hiding out in the middle of nowhere. He should be having a good time, partying and living it up, not playing bodyguard to his best friend’s runaway witness girlfriend. When he decides to leave the mountainside he’s called home for the last two months, he promises to be careful. He knows the … promises to be careful. He knows the stakes are high, and he knows that the makeshift family he’s leaving behind is counting on him to come back.
What he doesn’t count on is getting mugged and left for dead.
And he definitely doesn’t count on being rescued by a girl with secrets of her own…secrets that rival his.
As Julienne Bishop, a down-on-her-luck girl hiding from an abusive ex-boyfriend, nurses Kade back to health, an uneasy bond forms between them. They need each other, even if they don’t realize it, and even if they have a hard time accepting it.
Because danger is coming at them from both sides, and they must figure out if they can trust each other.
Before it’s too late.

This story was so much fun to read. I’ve read the first book in the novel and loved how this one picked up the story right from where the last one ended. It could be a standalone just for the romance but the whole effect of this series comes only by reading every book. There are lots of things about Kade that are mentioned in the first book and the whole story behind how they ended up at the place they are at, is told in the first book. This book doesn’t resolve the main underlying plot that ties all three books together but does give a nice segue into the third book of the series. I’m looking forwards to and am a bit sad to finish this series.
The characters were huge amounts of fun. They were all so well written. Each one of them has a full back story that has so many different layers. Both Kade and Jullienne were great people and amazing as a couple together. It was exciting to see them learn about each other and see from where they came from to where they ended up. I loved the villains in the novel like Officer Rybeck, who wasn’t really a villain but I don’t like him, and Anthony, who is a trashy boyfriend. Jullienne was so sweet and while she did make a mistake of being with Anthony even after knowing his family was racist against her, she truly grew throughout the novel. I do hope to see her more in the third book because I feel her full storyline wasn’t complete. Kade was such a sweet boy underneath that rough exterior. I understood his perspective of not trusting people or letting them in, but as the story went on, I loved to see his beliefs evolving. Their story is one worth reading.
The plot was really interesting. I liked how Kade’s story was mixed with the first book and how Jullienne’s story had its own path altogether. They both had a lot of action and drama and it all gelled really well. I’m excited to read the last book in the series. (I’ve already started it.)
I received a review copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Kade needs out. He is suffocating in the little cabin. But he must be carefully no put in danger his friends. But trouble follows him and he can’t stay away from Julianne. Julianne is running away and trying to protect her unborn child. They wil help each other and help their hearts to trust again.
The continuation of the “Brothers” is good ~ I just didn’t find this one as compelling as the first, but I liked the slow burn of chemistry between the pregnant Jules and playboy Kade. Of the three in the series, this is quite important to read as it sets up part of the ‘big finish’ for the trilogy, but ~ personally ~ I wasn’t as ‘into’ it as I was #1 and #3.
Book 2 in the brotherhood series. I love this series about these teens that escape for their lives.
This is Kade’s story, he feels trapped and lonely after putting his life on hold for his friends and living in the middle of nowhere. He takes off for a while and meets Jules, she has a secret and he is a playboy and not her type. Will they manage to come together?
A series of events has them connecting and then running for their lives. There is plenty of action, drama and love in this book and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Speak No Evil is the second of the Brotherhood series, and focuses on Kade as he decides that he can’t stay on the mountain any longer. He needs to live… he’s only 18 years old! This obviously brings a rift between him and Trey, as Trey can’t believe that he would abandon them. Riley is stoic throughout, he doesn’t want Kade to go, but knows that he will anyway so why make a fuss? Kade has a couple of epiphanies during this book, mainly because of something that Jules has said or done. Jules is also 18 and is pregnant. She has run away from home as she made a decision about the baby different to what the father wanted her to do. Together, these two help the other to heal. Something in Jules makes Kade want to be different; something in Kade makes Jules more certain, more outgoing.
This is a wonderful heartwarming story, with a hint of suspense on the level with book one. With different circumstances to contend with, you will be cheering on and hoping that Jules and Kade get their HEA. There are still a lot of questions to be answered, which I presume will happen in Riley’s book, which I can’t wait for. With appearances from Trey, Ana, and Riley, plus a host of new characters, the story moves along at a steady and smooth pace. Definitely recommended by me.
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. *

Tired of being isolated in the mountains, Kade has decided to leave his “brothers” in hiding and set off on his own adventure. He ends up in the same town as Julienne, who is in hiding to escape an abusive ex-boyfriend. Kade and Julienne become friends, but choose not to share the details of their pasts. Sharing their secrets may put both of them in great danger, but keeping them threatens to destroy their friendship. Speak No Evil is a great addition to the Brotherhood series. I look forward to the next book in the series to unravel the mystery of Riley’s past.
