I loved this book by Tonya Anne Crosby! It’s very compelling and held me captive until the very end! Characters are very well developed and compelling, filled with mystery and intrigue. Loved the entire series!
Speak No Evil: Oyster Point Thriller book 2 by Tanya Anne Crosby is a well written romantic suspense. Understanding of the characters grows as the story progresses. Description and history of the area is well done, and adds important elements to the plot. This book is a cliffhanger, however, leaving the reader with unanswered questions and the distinct impression that the man in jail for murder has been framed and that danger still lurks.
Tanya Anne Crosby has written the promise of a thrilling series. The three Aldridge Sisters are so different and each character is well-developed by Ms. Crosby. The sisters are forced to come together, each with her own requirement in order to meet the terms of their late mother’s large bequest in her Last Will and Testament. Although Caroline seems to be highlighted throughout the story, I am hoping we get to know Savannah and Augusta better in the next two installments.
I enjoyed the sisters as they attempt to reconcile and forge new relationships as adults. I’m interested to see where the trilogy takes them.
enjoyed it very much, surprise ending
I could’nt put it down
A good read
Not often I get to recommend a book to my girlfriend since childhood because she is an avid reader and knows quite a bit about authors and books but this book is worthy of being recommended to her AND to others. It held my attention.
Enough suspense to rival Hitchcock.
style of author; building of characters; plot
Wow what a fantastic book, could not put it down. Am now looking forward to
reading the next in the series.
Three Stars. Three Aldridge sisters are forced to live together for one year in order to receive inheritance from mother. Takes place at a place called Oyster Point near Charleston, South Carolina. It’s basically a run of the mill serial killer plot that involves the three Aldridge sisters. Descriptions of Oyster Point and surrounding locations were excellent. Really created an atmosphere for the story. The characters were well drawn. Provided good backstory and understood each person’s issues as they worked to understand and overcome them. My problem was the ending. For a book of 365 pages, the author could have spent more of those pages on a better crafted ending. And more foreshadowing earlier in the story for some of the characters would have made the epilogue, which set up the next book in the series, not such a jolting surprise. This was close to being a good book but three stars only for the above reason.
It was okay but the ending was confusing and left me with more questions than answers. The behavior of the characters was often inconsistent and some events were left unexplained. It started out good but as it progressed I felt less connected to the characters and the story line. Haven’t decided yet if I’m going to try the next book in the series or not.
Intense and exciting!
I adored Tanya Anne Crosby’s novel Speak No Evil, of her Aldridge Sisters series. This author, knew how to get my attention from the beginning of the story by creating the mystery which surrounds the Aldridge family, among which their mother Florence and her three daughters Caroline, Augusta and Savannah. A novel filled with mystery, danger and passion, that kept me out of breath. I really loved all her characters in particular Caroline who is the heroine in this one.
The story begins at the funeral of their mother where three sisters see again each other at the ancestral house of the Aldridge family, a house filled with secrets. Caroline also has the opportunity to meet again, Jack, the man that she had once loved and left. As soon as she sees him, she still feels again some feelings toward him. Let’s mention, that their mother, was a very particular woman! While, reading their mother’s will and testament, Caroline learns that she will have to take control of Florence’s newspaper, Savannah to write a book and Augusta to restore the old house, but to one condition, that they live a whole year together in the their mother’s ancestral home. A series of kidnappings and murders will come to complicate their lives. Will this arrangement, unite, again, the three sisters and their family or destroy them? Will Caroline give a second chance to Jack? Will the murderer be discovered?
Tanya Anne Crosby knew how to add suspense and intrigue to her story and create an expectation for her next novel Tell No Lies, which will be Augusta’s story. I’m excited to discover who is the murderer!
4 Stars
For some reason Bookbub will not allow me to change the rating.
A Good Suspenseful Story by Tanya Anne Crosby.
I did enjoy reading this Book, Albeit some of Story was to Narrative which drove me a bit crazy .
Caroline Aldridge & her sisters who have to adhere to specific rules from the Will their Mother left. They all despise the Family Home they grew up in. Then murders started happening & Caroline wrote an article in the newspaper which enraged many people including her ex Jack Shaw.
This Book was intense & Wonderful, I honestly couldn’t put it down.
I Loved the Sisters and all they got into and how they came together, at the end. I really loved it!!!
Just when you think you know – you don’t! Great read. Didn’t want to put it down.
Fwithout giving anything away this book was exciting and easy to read .it goes into
A lot of detail about the location. If you live along the coast for sure you will enjoy this book.
I enjoyed the book until it’s abrupt ending. I felt like I was watching a TV show that would say to be continued. The main romantic couple went from avoiding each other to getting married within a couple of pages with no explanation of how they fixed the rift.
I like this authors style of writting
