Amelia is married and just weeks away from giving birth. Serial killer, Rex Hawkins is in jail in Oregon and will only give his confession to Amelia. Amelia has no other option—Rex insists she hears his confession otherwise he’ll take the details of the rapes and murders he’s committed to his grave. Deep down she really wants to do this to show Rex how much she’s changed from being the victim to being the smart and brave woman that she is today. What is the real reason that he wants to see Amelia again – does he have a plan to do harm to her again or has he truly found religion in jail? As Amelia’s due date gets closer, the tension continues to rise until Amelia’s worst fears are realized. Will she be able to survive this time?
Book 3 in the series is another roller coaster ride for the reader. The only thing that I didn’t like about this book is that Amelia took a lot of chances so late in her pregnancy and didn’t seem concerned about the baby but maybe that was due to the psychological effect that Rex had on her mind.
Make sure you are in a comfy chair, have the phone turned off and have informed everyone not to disturb you because once you start reading this book you do not want to be interrupted and have to take a break. The only moving I did whilst reading this book was from the edge of my seat and back again. I was turning the pages and I couldn’t read this fast enough, I was completely consumed by this story. Oh, did I mention I enjoyed reading this book!

Prosecutor Amelia Kellaway, although just weeks away from giving birth, agrees to interview serial killer, Rex Hawkins. Rex insists she hears his confession otherwise he’ll take the details of the string of rapes and murders he’s committed to his grave.
Amelia was his last victim … the only one to survive.
Rex says he has found God in prison, and wants a chance for redemption. He says he’s sorry for the victims he took and their families. Is he on the level … or is there something else that he’s planning?
Events spin out of control creating chaos and havoc …. and more deaths.
This thriller is loaded from start to finish with page turning action and suspense. The plot is skillfully written with deftly drawn characters. Although this is 3rd in the series, it is easily read as a stand alone. I do recommend reading them in order because Amelia is such a compelling figure.
The fact that Amelia, so close to delivery, was allowed to run around a forest …. be involved in physical fights, etc. Not so credible in my opinion. I did drop the rating to 4.5.

The story line was good, the character work was terrific and the book had a fairly smooth flow to it. This was another great addition to the series.
