Snow. Santa. Snuggles… Stress. You would think December would be Ivy’s ideal time of year. After all, festivities abound and witches everywhere are encouraged to put their feet up and relax. That’s not quite the case when she has various Order members attempting to finagle her into Christmas activities and a special artefact from the top of the Christmas tree goes missing. Either someone is … Either someone is attempting to sabotage Winter or something very strange is afoot indeed.
This is a short holiday novella.

The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Magic is a humors and enjoyable series to read.
Sparkle Witch is a novella set around Christmas time. It’s hilariously snarky and full of shenanigans featuring Ivy, Winter, the Order and Brutus.
This was a fun romp with minimum danger, but supreme fun. It’s got all the magical feel of Christmas time with all the priceless amusing moments with our lazy witch, Ivy.
You do need to read the rest of the series; before picking this one up.
Now, I’m not sure if we are going to get more Lazy Girl’s Guide to Magic, but if not this is a nice place to stop.

Sparkle Witch by Helen Harper a five-star read that will bring a sparkle to your eye. If I could give this more starts I would gladly. This is by far my favourite Christmas story this year, maybe ever!! and not just for Brutus!! who I though really came into his own with this story. I have always loved him as I have a total Caesar obsession after being made to read it as a kid and then getting a little weird about the whole thing, but that’s off subject. Ivy Wilde is someone I would love to emulate in my life. Its my life plan to get a full time job where I only do about an hours work a week. I also wouldn’t mind me a Rafe of my own either. Thank you Helen for this amazing read.
Love this series!
Sparkle Witch may be shorter than the others but it is still a great read! I have loved each one! Her cat is my favorite character! He is funny and mysterious. These books are hilarious too. Read in order.
Ivy’s back and at it again! Sparkle Witch is a short and sweet holiday novella that features everyone’s favorite lazy witch!
Summary:
Christmas is nigh and Ivy Wilde should be looking forward to doing what she loves most. Kicking back with her feet up and a warm, festive drink in hand. Alas, there’s no rest for the witchy, and Ivy finds herself trying to dodge being pressed into service for various Christmas activities. Again, this doesn’t turn out the way she’d hoped, as evidenced by the Santa suit she’s now wearing. If that weren’t a big enough problem, an old and very special artifact goes missing from the top of the Order’s Christmas tree. Ivy is convinced someone is trying to sabotage Winter and his leadership role. But that concern takes a backseat when she learns of the curse attached to the missing item.

I love Ivy, Winter, Brutus, and the whole ghostie gang! When I read the last page of Spirit Witch, I was happy to realize I had a novella to read. I wasn’t ready to let them go. Now after reading said novella, I’m still not ready to let them go, but I’m still happy to have caught some time with them during the festive time of year. Ivy was the Ivy we’ve all come to know and love. Caring, funny, smart, lazy, and strong. Lol. She’s been getting lots of practice with delegation, and looking for any and all ways to make her job easier. I love the added care and concern for Winter. It adds another complex level to the already layered witch we’ve fallen for. I was a little disappointed we didn’t see more of Winter, but I loved what we did see. He’s taken his promotion and leadership seriously, instituted some changes, and set out to make the Order the best it can be. My favorite aspect of his character, though, is how he takes Ivy for exactly who she is and loves her for it. The influence she’s had on him is real and good. Their relationship is strong and stable with hints at a steamier side. I loved it all. Overall, I adored this little glimpse into their life. We also got a look at some old faces, as well as learning some new ones. My only issue with this novella was, it’s just entirely too short. As I said, I wanted to stay in the Lazy Girl’s world just a bit longer. The ending was as I guessed it would be, a surprise reveal. I wasn’t expecting it to be that particular surprise, but it was sweet nonetheless. I also could have done with a bit more magic work just because I love that kind of thing. I only hope that Ms. Harper will visit Ivy’s world again in future. I can promise I’ll be the first to download.
What a cute story. It’s short but lacks none of the charm we expect from Ivy. Winter and Ivy are about to celebrate Christmas together and Ivy is in for some thrills, maybe not for her though. I love that this story shows a bit more of Brutus and the surprise at the end is precious. I can’t wait to read more by this author.
