Meh not bad but not fantastic
I think the novellas would be better combined into a full length novel covering the three storylines since Spark, Flame and Blaze will feature in all three novellas.
Forced….. Not a good build of characters….
Really bad
Hero was unbelievably ridiculous. DNF.
Story was too short. Liked the story idea. Need more development
Skip this book. Weak characters, same old story line, not imaginative. Imoike a book that hooks me from the start and drives me to read it. Didn’t happen.
I really expected better from this author. Uninspired.
This book was ver predictable and not interesting.
18+ Attempts made to build actual characters and off world descriptions, which I appreciate. Overplayed the language barrier for humor angle, felt forced and not actually funny.
There are some interesting and original twists here, plus flashes of humor. However, the novella format was simply too short to let the potential develop, and it was unfortunate that the author did not allow the story to fully mature to a complete book.
Enjoyed this book. It was entertaining and a quick read.
Not a cohesive story, more like a short story expanded. The characters are thrown in without a lot of personality and mostly just “filler.” Easy to put down.
Really
Not enough difficulties to get together. Too short also.
Didn’t care for this book I think it went on and on in it’s descritivenes. To the point of boring me.
The original idea of these intergalactic beings starting up a dating/mating service is unusual, and some of the complications were funny. But it didn’t have much depth or plot. May be in part because it was a novella.
OMG Kal and his cohorts are hysterically funny and true fish out of water!! When Kal secretly signs them up for a Galactic Brides (and Grooms) voyage to Earth, they are uploaded with the weirdest of programming. Think stripper movies, dance movies and other randomness! Once they get over the shock the other boys go with it but none of them have any intention of getting a mate, they just want a vacation!
With their new “earth” names – again those damn stripper movies LOL! Kal now known as Spark, and the boys land in Vegas and do their best to blend in. Enter Carrie. She is the token family bridesmaid at her socialite cousins wedding. She’s rather be anywhere else and the groomsman she has been paired with giver her the willies! One look and Kal is in love but his wooing leaves a lot to the imagination!
Take adventurous aliens, new found love, a kidnapping attempt and a truly bridezillafied bachelorette weekend and you have a marvellous romp! Carrie is the epitome of put upon cousin and her reaction to Kal’s mating routine is hilarious! Kal and boys will tug your heartstrings as even big bad Sev is just so innocent when it comes to earth!
A great start to a new lighthearted series with some serious thrown in to pace the story. I’m anxious to see how the cousins fare and what women catch their eye and spin their libido.
This whole trilogy was very fun and kept me entertained! Spark was so sweet and the cultural difference issues had me rolling with laughter.
Poorly written. Not thoughtful.
