I draw kickass superheroes. I never thought I was one.To me, the stories that unfolded on the pages of my webcomic have always been way more awesome than real life—right up until the day an evil bad Assassin’s Creed cosplay dude showed up and tried to erase my existence.I fought back—and caught on fire. Like, legit fire that turned purple and not only scared off the creepy evil bad, but brought a … the creepy evil bad, but brought a hot, OMG hawt fire elemental to my door to whisk me off to some mysterious academy. Did I mention hot? Did I mention he brought hawt friends?
Did I mention a mysterious academy?
Turns out I’m an elemental with the power to control elements with my mind, and there’s an Academy of Elements that can teach me how to hone my craft. Crazy, right? Even crazier, a secret academy of elemental wizards known as the Council handpicked me to save our kind from some seriously dark sorcerers determined to destroy our world. No pressure.
At least I have my quad squad—four OMG hawt elementals—by my side. If I have to literally save the world from annihilation, why not do it in style by pairing with them—in every sense of the word?
Welcome to Clearwater Academy…it’s time to draw your weapons.

Spark of Fire (The Academy of Elements Book 1) by Kat Adams is an amazing story that I have read and have the privilege to read. This is book number one out of four in this amazing start to a new series written by a brand new author for me to read and I can not wait to read the next book in this amazing series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about the paranormal.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Loved this book! A beautiful combination of adventure, the supernatural, and romance. I am looking forward to reading the next leg of this journey…
Am amazing story that is just so interesting from the start to end. I loved everything about this book and so in love with these characters completely. Can’t wait for more by this author.
A good start for the series, would like to see where it goes. An erotic turn to a magical world where our heroine must quickly learn to use her powers or suffer tragedy. From the start adult situations make it clear this series takes relationships to fruition. Relatable characters, a fast pace an a peek at a magical university will keep you turning pages to see where the story goes.
A girl, four handsome boys, a new school…. No! you have not read this one before
„Spark of Fire“, first book in the “Academy of Elements Series”, by Kat Adams, is at first glance a typical “Academy” book, a genre that is becoming so increasingly popular that deserve its own genre niche within Urban Fantasy.
True to the genre, Katy Reed is absolute clueless about her own heritage and power and have to learn very quickly while being targeted by unknown enemies and rescued by equally unknow allies at the very same time. The rescue team consist of four very handsome boys that spirit her away to Clearwater Academy. The attraction between Katy and the four boys is almost instantaneous, they seem to be kind of the yang to her ying, balancing the powers that thread to overwhelm Katy at any given moment. As the title suggest this first story in the series centers in the power of fire and the relationship between Katy and Rob Emmet, the one boy the yields fire in the group, the other three boys (Bryan, Leo and Clay) are responsible for the remaining elements (earth, water and air, respectively).
As Katy learns to control her powers and tries to maneuver her relationship with all four boys, as well as keeping her own feelings at bay. Part urban fantasy, part YA coming of age and part reverse harem erotic, the story develops nicely into a fast-paced and well written book that is highly entertaining with funny moments, great use of language and some more dept that the majority of the offerings in this kind of genre.
It is safe to expect to see more of the other boys and their powers playing a main role in future installments in the series, and it will be surely very interesting to follow Katy along when dealing with them all.
