Academy Reverse HaremMagic exists. I know—it’s in my blood.Unfortunately, not all people from magical bloodlines have powers, and at 22, I’m several years past the age they usually appear. So I’ve resigned myself to a boring, magic-less life. Then something strange happens… just punching the guy back, I blow a hole in the wall.
So… I guess I do have powers. But they’re unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. This shit is definitely not normal.
And it seems the magical authorities agree, because they give me a choice: either I go to school to learn to control my crazy new magic, or they’ll take it away. Permanently.
Now if I can just survive the bitchy mean girls determined to take me down a peg, the mysterious attacks on students, the three hot-as-hell guys who don’t seem turned off by my prickly exterior, and the professor who makes me long for detention, maybe I’ll get out of here in one piece.
Wouldn’t bet on it though.
Welcome to the Academy of Unpredictable Magic.
Spark is the first book in the Academy of Unpredictable Magic series, a medium-burn reverse harem story intended for ages 18+, featuring a badass chick and the four sexy men who fall in love with her.

Why did i wait this long to dive into this series!? It was AWESOME. Love Elliot, she is sassy, witty, sarcastic and takes no crap but will show vulnerability and kindness. With all the academy books i’ve read lately this one has a more mature heroine than most other books read so far and it’s a welcome change. This book is well written with a good storyline. Love all the guys but have a soft spot for Dimitri. Hope to see the relationship btw Elliot and the guys developping in the next installment.
The audiobook is excellent by the way. Love Sarah Puckett voice
Ooooh this book was awesome! We have a badass cranky MC and four delicious guys surrounding her. This was a great academy book. There was girl bullies, a great mystery and sleuthing. And of course a budding relationship between the MC and her hotties.
Was really surprised I liked this book so much, figured out who the bad guy was quickly but since it’s not a mystery was ok with that. If you like college paranormal romances you’ll love this! A very good read
Spark by Sadie Moss is a paranormal academy reverse harem that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett. This is the first book in the Academy of Unpredictable Magic series.
This is the third series of Sadie’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. She does an amazing job pulling me into the story. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next I am loving the relationship that is blooming between Elliot, Cam, Asher, Dimitri, and Roman.
I can’t wait to dive into the next book in the series Trials so I can get more of their story.
Sarah did an amazing job on the narration! She never disappoints. I love that she uses different voices/tones for each character. It really brings the story to life.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romances, academy romances, or reverse harems.

I truly enjoyed this book, it’s fast paced and has a good story line that kept my interest throughout. I like that the relationship between Elliot and her 4 guys, I like the fact that it’s not rushed and that we get to see more about how it will develop through the next books. I love all the 4 guys, they have different personalities, they are funny in their own unique way, and throw to the mix teacher/student relationship, things will get pretty interesting.
I will definitely be listening to the next book.
Sarah Puckett provided a perfect narration, her performance was truly great, she portrays all the character in a distinctive way which makes it so easy to listen and enjoy. Her narration is a big pat of what makes this book enjoyable.
I will definitely be listening to the next book, I want to know what else is in store for Elliot and her guys and see how her magic grows.

Bingeworthy series!!
Wow, how had I not heard of this series before?? I am so in love with this world, I totally have binged listened and am on book 5 out of 6!! I loved how rough around the edges Elliott is. I like that she has flaws and sometimes you want to shake her because she is so distant, stubborn, over-cautious, and defensive But she lets people in very very slowly, only they have earned her trust and she can feel like she can be 100% herself and vulnerable with them. We definitely will see this get better with each book haha. I love the guys in this one, especially Asher and Roman. Cam is adorable and goofy, but I love the nerdier quieter ones haha. Demetri is a buttface who needs a stern talking too haha. I think the unpredictable powers aspect is super fun, its like a mystery what powers people will get, if they get more, etc. I was sorta shocked by the twist at the end, but I thought it was great for the story. Sadie sets the stage well for the villains of the story arc, and like I already said, I couldn’t even wait to get book 2 before I finished book 1. The steam and tension were perfectly done, the academy and powers aspect wasnt too little or too much, and the relationships we start to see formed made me itch for more. Fantastic job, Sadie is going to be an automatic buy for audiobooks and books from now on I think
For the narration, Sarah Puckett is one of my favorite narrators or all time. I think she is killing this series, really bringing Elliott, Maddie, the guys to life. Even the evil girls from the academy are fabulous. She has such distinctive voices and inflections you know who its going to be before they mention a name or something letting us know the character. I definitely would recommend anything Sarah is putting out now, they are all fab!!
1000% recommend, finishing up book 5 tonight probably haha. On to reviewing the other 3
Perfect start to a new series! It gives information, lets us get to know a little about the characters, meet those hunky sexy men, learn about the magic and the school.
I enjoyed listening to this. The writing is smooth and it easy to follow along with. The characters are complex. I love all their different personalities. We had some man girl issues, drama and of course that sexy suspense. I look forward to the next in the series.
I listened to this on audio. Sarah Puckett is the narrator. She does a great job and is easy to listen to.
Wow this is an intense, emotional read with lots of action and character development!!
Loved all the characters and the chemistry between them. An unusual academy story and a great start to the series!!
Cant wait for the next one!!
I love this book and the audiobook! The narrator for the audio is great! Elliot is a Badass FMC and the guys are fantastic. The storyline is full of action, suspense, Intrigue, and oh so much steam! This book is an awesome start to this new series!
Spark: Academy of Unpredictable Magic
Five Stars
Spark is the first book in the Academy of Unpredictable Magic series by Sadie Moss. This is the first book I have read/listen to by Ms. Moss, but definitely won’t be the last. I enjoyed how the characters grew and the interaction between Elliot and her men. This book grabbed me from the very beginning and I listen to the whole book in one day.
This is also the first book that I listened to by Sarah Puckett and I think she is brilliant. She really bought the characters to life and made the book flow seamlessly.
I would highly recommend this book and series.

The book has a nice spin on the magic world and keeps it unique. Both witch and academy books have so many options, especially since academy style books are popular right now, and the author does a wonderful job from falling into repetitive cycle many books end up in. The story is well paced, full of lovable and hate-able characters, and keeps you interested up to the end.
This was an amazing start to a new series! At age twenty-two, Elliot has come to terms that the her family’s magical bloodline has ended with her deceased parents. That is, until her sister, Maddie, has come into her powers and is being whisked away to Neptune Academy to learn to control them. Shortly after, Elliot finds herself in a one night stand, a bar fight, and then a hospital. As it turns out, her powers have finally manifested, she has unpredictable magic, and has to go to Griffin Academy or relinquish her powers forever. I really loved Elliot’s snarky and reserved personality and watching her journey of being reintroduced to the magical world. Her harem was well built and each guy has a different personality and power- Asher is insightful and can read/ control minds even though he doesn’t like to do it, Demetri is standoffish at first, but deep down he does care about her and he can phase, walk through walls, and duplicate, Kam has a fun, outgoing, and shameless personality and can absorb magic and teleport, and Roman is her professor, studious, sexy, and can raise the dead. This book was filled with betrayal, mystery, steamy scenes, and magic and I can’t wait for Elliot and her harem’s journey to continue!
Sarah did another outstanding job with this narration! I’m eager to listen to every book that she narrates because she becomes the main character with her performance and breathes their personalities to life.

*I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This is a reverse harem, prn: magic book. A young girl who comes into her powers later than normal, and is forced to attend the academy to keep them. There are a few inconsistencies and jumps throughout the story that are hard to overlook but for the most part the story is pretty good, and isn’t completely focused on the R.H.
I love Sarah Puckett’s narrations, and have listed to almost all of her audio performances, I have yet to find one I didn’t like. She brings the characters out and brings the book a step above what it would have been without the audio.

Spark is one of those stories where from the beginning you can’t help but love the heroine. She is feisty, family oriented, loyal to a fault, but has a bad girl lurking underneath. Deep down though you know she is disappointed when her sister shows signs of something she doesn’t have, till one day all heck breaks loose and her life changes forever.
I can’t wait to see where this story leads next, reverse harems are such fun and this one I think will be scrumptious.
Sarah Puckett did an amazing job narrating with all the characters in this story.

Loved this story! I think it’s now one of my favorites by Sadie Moss! The men were hot, funny and yummy!! It’s rated a medium burn and I would agree. Lots of sexual tension and two hot steamy scenes! The ending is great because it gives you closure but leaves the door cracked open lol The narrator was Sarah Puckett and I just have to say she has never been a disappointment and she continues to score another hit with this narration. Loved it and can’t wait for more!!!

*WARNING* contains adult situations
I guess this was okay. There was really no world building at all, Elliot tells how “beautiful” the school is, but the author does do much to describe it. The heroine swings from acting her age of 22 to acting like a 12 year old. The two sex scenes are not only described poorly, but it’s got the heroine against wall. The characters were not relatable or likeable for me. This is just not the book for me.
4.5 stars for Spark by Sadie Moss. This is book 1 in the Academy of Unpredictable Magic Series. This is a slow burn reverse harem series. In this book we meet Elliot who is a fun badass who has been taking care of her sister for years. She was supposed to develop magic long ago but never got any powers. Soon her sister starts to develop powers and is off to school. She does have a hot one-night stand with a man, who she never gets the name of. One night at the bar that Elliot works at her powers come into play. She is now offered a chance to go to the school for those with Unpredictable Magic or have her powers stripped from her. When she arrives at the academy, she meets Cam, Demitri and Asher. She soon develops a friendship with them when many don’t seem to want her around. Many things at the school are not what they seem. She also comes face to face with her one-night stand.
I am loving this series and can not wait to finish it. It is a slow burn but we do still have a couple steamy scenes. I have become a huge fan of Sadie Moss’s and the reverse harem genre.
Amazing Story! Fantastic Audible Listen Magical!
Spark
Academy of Unpredictable Magic Book 1
By: Sadie Moss
Narrated by: Sarah Puckett
This is a great book, it is well written and well told with interesting storylines that grabs your attention and holds it to the very end. Sadie Moss is a master at creating an imaginative world where both magical and non-magical beings exist and still manages to keep it realistic and relatable. Her characters are complex and well developed. Elliot comes from a magical bloodline but did not develop any magical powers like most do while in their teens. At 22 she wrote magic off, figuring it was not going to happen for her. Then one night out of no where the magic with in booms out of her. Not knowing what happened she wakes up handcuffed to a hospital bed being questioned by Magical Authorities. Learning she has a rare power, unpredictable magic she is given an option to go school to learn to control it or give it up completely. She chooses school and enters the Academy. This turns out to be a real adventure for her, first with unfriendly roommates who give her a hard time, then seeing the three gorgeous guys she swooned over while working in the bar as well as finding out one of her teachers is someone she had a one night stand with. Technically these are just the people she meets, the real adventure is when things start going array in the school, someone is up to no good and she winds up getting caught up in uncovering who. Along with her new friends, Asher, Dmitri and Cam. I really liked these three and their building relationship. I also liked Roman and am looking forward to see where their relationships go. There is never a dull moment in this book, there is plenty of drama, twists, angst, a good bit of mystery, suspense and thrilling action that will take you to the edge of your seat. Some hot romance too. Sadie Moss thank you for another great story.
I listened to the Audible edition, Sarah Puckett is a fabulous narrator and voice performer. She brings these characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality. She sets the perfect tone for this story, you can hear the characters emotions including fear in her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen

This is an exciting read that’s a bit of a ‘who done it’ thriller. It’s also an RH but currently is slow burn I like the characters but hope Elliot gets over her fears of abandonment asap or it’ll get annoying really fast! I’m definitely reading book #2

Fun, mystery, magical, romance
It was nice to read a magical mystery with a little older characters. There was just enough steamy sex and budding romance. The story was unpredictable and exciting. I really enjoyed reading about Elliot and feel there is a lot more to come from her and the Academy of Unpredictable Magic!
