Flames almost killed this ex-firefighter. And the sparks he’s feeling now might burn what’s left of his heart.SabrinaHe was a charming S.O.B. when I dated him two years ago, but the Logan Carter who arrives at Bad@ss Builds is a shadow of the one I knew. This Logan is surly, bitter, and scarred—evidence of the fire he survived marked him both inside and out. Does he really not remember me?Logan… remember me?
Logan
I’m upright and functioning. Isn’t that enough? I shouldn’t even be alive. And I definitely don’t have time for the bubbly, gorgeous woman from my past who can do better than me.
No matter how much I wish I could be the man she remembers.

This Burns Brothers series is fantastic, every book is different but all connect and each reveals more about the family and it’s dynamics. Each have relevant issues about every day life and this story is about Sabrina Wagner, the cousin of the brothers or little sister as they think growing up together and so close. I really like that dynamic too.
I love these characters, they are so real and say things as they are without any rubbish getting in the way. They may have a tendency to be a bit brutal with their honesty though. The sense of humour throughout the story is on point and you often find yourself chuckling out loud.
Logan Carter is a complicated character and one who at times I wanted to shake but he had his reasons. He is endearing though and yummy to boot. Sabrina has an inner strength that she’s had to draw on lots of times but in this book it is strained quite a bit. I enjoyed her strong personality and the way she gives as good as she gets. She certainly doesn’t let the men in her life walk all over her, including Logan, which is terrific to see.
A great balance between some deeper elements about a variety of emotional traumas and situations that run deep and are handled well and a light, fun story with a fabulous romance.

This book will make you feel ALL the feels! Sabrina’s life is chaotic most of the time. With “brothers” who are a complete handful and their reality show that keeps them busy, she isn’t one to look for any more drama. Unfortunately, throughout this book drama appears to find her. She hasn’t had it easy in the two years since she last dated, and spoke to, Logan. When he shows up unexpectedly at the shop, sparks fly, but not in the best of ways. Logan is not the same man he was two years earlier and doesn’t believe he can ever been anything like that man again. This story will take you on a path full of emotional turmoil, intense attraction, secrets and suspense. In the end, a happily ever after will be found and there will be some serious self discovery for this overbearing family full of love!

This is my first book from the author. I can’t believe that I haven’t met the Burns Brothers before now. I’m definitely changing that soon! This can be read as a standalone, so don’t worry if you haven’t read the previous book; you’ll be able to keep up just fine.
Sabrina works as an accountant for the Burns brothers. They are really her cousins but since they grew up together, they are more like annoying older brothers. Her life is simple without much drama. Everything changes when her ex-boyfriend, Logan, shows up again. Logan is an ex-firefighter. Two years ago, he was injured in a wildfire and he never been the same again. He’s scarred both physically and mentally. What he’s been doing the past 2 years is pushing people away.
Their first encounter after all this time is horrible. Logan acts like he doesn’t recognize her, and Sabrina is really mad about that. Logan has too many things to work through and he’s reluctant to let people in. Throughout the book, they slowly heal each other. Sabrina is a silent supporter to his struggles and he’s someone she leans on while going through some personal things.
You can fell the emotions in the book. The chemistry between Logan and Sabrina is palpable, but so is the hurt and the frustration. Life isn’t easy…However, the message that the story left me with, is that everything will work out eventually when you have people that love you by your side!!!
Beautiful addition to The Burns Brother series. I was completely swept up in Logan and Sabrina’s story. Their sweet, sexy and sometimes sad journey to their long awaited HEA hooked me from the start. Can’t wait to see what author delivers next. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC received via NetGalley.
Oh, I was so excited to see the next story in this series and even more so to find out it was Sabrina’s story, the “sister” of the Burns Brothers group.
I was so moved by Sabrina’s story when it was mentioned in the previous books in this series and now to read her whole story was perfect.
The past is coming back into Sabrina’s world. Her history with Logan is short but it really meant something to her. And then to have to go through what she did alone and with no word from Logan, you can understand the anger and frustration she has when he comes back into her world.
Logan, this scarred and flawed man has a serious case of survivors’ guilt that pushes all he loves away. It takes seeing Sabrina again to move him to want more from his self-imposed, lonely existence.
The sparks still fly between Logan and Sabrina and it was heartwarming to read how their relationship blooms.
It was also fun to see past characters make appearances in this story! It was lovely to catch up to what everyone was doing! I cannot wait to read the next story in this series!
Third book in this wonderful series and while it can be read as a stand alone do yourself a favour and read the first two books “Build” and “Fast” you won’t be sorry that you did
Sabrina Burns is the only girl in the Burns family and this is her story She dated Logan Carter two years earlier and thought that everything was perfect until he went away to fight a fire and never returned she was heart broken Now Logan has returned and he isn’t just scarred on the outside by the fire that nearly killed but on the inside as well He is firmly convinced that he isn’t good enough for Sabrina and won’t let her near again but she is determined that he is the man for her and this time she isn’t letting him walk away Can they have a future together You will have to read to see
Spark by Gillian Archer is book Three in the Burns Brothers Series. This is the story of Logan and Sabrina. I did feel this could be a standalone book if you wish to do so. Logan and Sabrina had dated for a few months a few years ago but he went off on assignment for a fire and he ended up not talking again. Of course Sabrina was hurt by this. Now in their present day Sabrina is helping out her brothers at their bike shop when Logan walks back into her life. Logan isn’t the same man she once knew. Logan isn’t the same confident somewhat cocky man he used to be, now he is scared on the inside and outside. Logan doesn’t feel worthy of Sabrina so at first he tries to brush her off, but this is their second chance at love.
Omg, I loved this book. I really enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down. It was nice to catch up with all the characters.
I loved Sabrina and Logan together, they finally found their way back to each other. They had to get over some obstacles to be together.
I can’t wait to see what happens next.
A good, solid HEA with a wounded hero & heroine. Their situation was realistic and characters easy to relate to. Definitely looking forward to Nathan’s story!
Spark is not what I expected…but in a good way. I can honestly say nothing but his new behavior makes Logan a bad boy. Rowdy and naughty, yes, but not a bad boy.
Spark is a second chance romance. Lo and Sabrina have history. They have mountains of issues and some things to get off their chests but in the end even you will be happy with the results.
Also, go Maddie for starting something (I’m positive) will end very well for her!
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
This series is fun, flirty, sexy, intense, painful and full of love. I think this book is my favorite so far.
Sabrina works with her cousins at the motorcycle shop. When a man shows up to see about installing fire safety equipment, it turns out to be her ex-boyfriend. Logan used to be fun, loving and carefree, now he is bitten, mean and acts like he doesn’t know her.
Logan realizes who Sabrina is the minute he walks into the motorcycle shop. But the sooner he gets through looking around the sooner he can get away from her. He is not the same man she knew and he doesn’t want her to see his scares. He notices she looks as good or better than she did two years ago but she deserves someone better than him.
Can Sabrina get Logan to see that they still have feelings for each other? Can she tell him her secret without pushing him over the edge? Will Logan give them another chance? Can he accept help to make his future better?
This story is filled with Logan and Sabrina’s pain that will have you crying and the Burns brothers and their wild ways will have you laughing. But when they come together, this is the best of the Burns Brothers so far, in my opinion anyway. I recommend you read them all and I think you can read them as a standalone too. So enjoy them, I really did.

WE have a second chance love story between Logan and Sabrina, after getting together for two wonderful months, Sabrina really felt something for Logan, but he ghosted her when she came back and wanted nothing to do with her. Years later he comes to her place of work to install something and comes face to face with her but played it like he had no clue who she was which broke her heart, reopened the heartbreak, on top of that she finds her mother arguing with this man who she comes to find out is her daddy, who she thought was dead because her mother told her..Story was ok, we find out that Logan suffered in a burn unit and I kind wanted to know more about, instated of him feeling like he owed everybody, when whom he really owed something to was Sabrina, yet when he finds out he handled it wrong, However when Sabrina is in danger he comes thru.
rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.
Lots of angst, lots of drama, lots of steam. It took me a little while to warm up to Sabrina. Even though I loved her interaction with her brothers, I felt her reactions to ‘bad news’ a bit immature and selfish. Maybe because of her age? Logan was a typical tortured, angsty hero. Even though he was described as being physically scarred with burns, this story thread didn’t seem to be as developed as his emotional trauma.
I received a free copy from Netgalley. This is my unbiased review.
Even having not read previous books in this series, it was very easy to follow along. Gillian Archer does an excellent job keeping you current. I loved Logan and Sabrina! There was so much heartache on both sides that I wanted to weep. This was a great story from start to finish. I’m going to go back and read any that came before this one!
5 stars!
I have a love relationship with stories about families and how they interact, especially if they are all protective of each other – that can mean either alpha males or females. That is why I like the Burns Brothers so much. Even though they sometimes barge in at the most inappropriate times, it is always what they feel is best. Logan is a perfect hero for me. He is tortured and does what he thinks is best but it is not always what is best. Sabrina is the badass Burns who is hurt in more than one way and has to figure out how to live with it. Logan and Sabrina together are off the charts exciting and hot! I will admit that I teared up a bit at the end of the story. A great read in this series. I look forward to the next book, maybe Nathan and Maddie?!?!
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
The writing just captured my interest from page one and didn’t let me go until the very last word. There are lots of tense moments along with heartbreak, love and comedy to sink your teeth into. This book has so much going on but is completely gripping.
I love these characters! Their whole crazy family is just so addictive. Sabrina is the quintessential little sister with four alpha, overprotective, brothers when is just trying to survive a breakup of two years ago when he walks back into her life. Her life is turned upside down over and over again in such a short space of time that I hardly caught my breath! What a page-turner that is! She is a fantastic character who is easily lovable and I’d love to be her friend.
Logan has a huge burden on his shoulders. He’s hardly back to his normal self when he has to face Sabrina again! He’s a grumpy, surly man, on the outside, and makes everything difficult for a while but, on the inside, he is a big ol’ messed up, softie. I couldn’t help but love him though. Like a fine wine, he improves with time.
You really must read it and the others in the series.
