NASA astronaut Julie Starr knows nothing is earned without blood, sweat, and frizzy hair.
Recently returned from orbit, Jules is on her way to becoming the youngest Flight Commander ever. So she isn’t about to let a creepy stalker derail her goals.
Or a chivalrous, wealthy rancher either, for that matter.
Holt West doesn’t mess with flirts. And that’s exactly what Jules is.
He has enough on his … is.
He has enough on his plate, working the ranch he inherited from his grandfather while making sure his siblings follow their dreams. He doesn’t need to be distracted from his responsibilities by the smart-mouthed, long-legged astronaut clad in leather pants and biker boots.
But when Holt’s brother and Jules’ best friend decide to get married, they’re thrown together as best man and maid of honor. Jules takes the opportunity to hide out from her stalker at the West Ranch under the guise of planning the barnyard wedding of a lifetime. She might not know the difference between tulle and toile, but she’s an astronaut for god’s sake. How hard could it be?
Between Jules vying for a record-breaking promotion while outmaneuvering a stalker and Holt fighting a losing battle with his heart, can the two of them get it together long enough to say yes to the ride of their lives?
Or is this mission a no-go?

This was a really enjoyable story. The characters were well developed and relatable. The underlying suspense with the stalker situation was well done.
Jules Starr, NASA’s Starr, is an astronaut and firecracker that takes life by the horns and makes it her b*tch. She is asked by Jackie to be her maid of honor. Holt West is an even keeled steady cattle rancher. His brother Flynn asks him to be his best man. She needs a vacation after saving the Space Station and decides to stay with Holt. She shakes his world up while helping to get his home updated for the wedding. They hook up and end up falling in love but have to navigate through some rough patches before getting their HEA.

This is the second book in the amazing Space Series Series. This is a Series of interconnected standalone stories. Jules and Holt’s story is sweet, fun, and sexy. Jules is smart, fun, and independent. Holt is handsome and determined. Their story is heartwarming, and beautifully written. The supporting characters are great. I loved to see again Jackie and Flynn from the first book. I love the friendship and the family bonds in this Series! Samantha Brentmoor and Lee Samuels did a fantastic job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listen to Space Oddities, the next book in the Series. I highly recommend this series.
Fabulous RomCom & Listen A Captivating Delight!
Space Cowgirl: Houston, All Systems Go
Space Series, Book 2
By: Sara L. Hudson
Narrated by: Samantha Brentmoor, Lee Samuels
This book is awesome and I loved every thing about it! This is the second audiobook in Sara L. Hudson’s amazing “Space” series and it is as enjoyable and delightful as the first book “Space Junk: Houston, We Have a Hottie”. She is a gifted author, the creates original and interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are well developed, they are likable, realistic and easy to relate to and connect with. This book is Julie “Jules” Starr and Holt West’s story, both made appearances in the first book. Jules is an astronaut and on of NASA’s stars, with the help of Jackie she saved the day and the mission she was on. Back on the ground, she is asked to be Jackie’s maid of honor, thrilled to be a best friend she plans on taking role very seriously. She also has some drama going on in her personal life, an unknown person stalking her and sending her frightening messages. She does not want to ruin her chances of being promoted or chance being grounded so she keeps it to herself. So using much accumulated vacation time she takes a break and goes off to stay on a ranch to help plan Jackie and Flynn’s wedding. Holt West is a straight laced, no nonsense man, he took his role of looking out for his brother and sister very seriously, made sure they had what they needed and do what they want. He lives a simple life, residing in his late grandfather’s home and running the family’s ranch. The home has not been renovated for years and with Jackie and Flynn wanting their wedding on the ranch he thinks it is time to renovate and upgrade. It is the least he could do as Flynn’s best man. What he did not plan on was having Julie Starr move in to his house to help plan Jackie and Flynn’s wedding. I loved her take charge attitude and how she threw Holt off balance. The chemistry between them was smoking hot and I could not wait for them to act on it. This is the type of book you do not want to put down, it puts a smile on your face and keeps it there the entire time. Thee story is brilliantly plotted and there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, laughs, the stalker storyline adds a bit of mystery and some thrilling and suspenseful moments, it was great when Julie figured out who was behind it. There is also sweet and emotional moments and some hot romance. Sara L. Hudson, thank you for another marvelous story, I love these characters and hope Trish and Rose gets their own story too.
I listened to the Audible edition, Samantha Brentmoor & Lee Samuels continue to bring these characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. They do an awesome job portraying the characters, Samantha Brentmoor perfected Jules’ persona and Lee Samuels’ Holt was spot on too. They sounded as I pictured them to sound. They were awesome performing the voices for the secondary characters too. They are entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen
Is there such a thing as a romcom-suspense? Glad you asked because this book sets a new standard!
Set on a cattle ranch outside of Houston, the story is of a female astronaut, who has had to work hard to break that glass ceiling…first, as a daughter of a military general, then in the Air Force and now at NASA. Then there is the straight laced rancher, who doesn’t like to cuss! Throw this pair together to plan a wedding for his brother and her best friend and the result is explosive. There is also a stalker to keep the story from getting too light hearted. Overall a great story from this new-to-me author…with excellent narration by new-to-me team! Definitely recommend a read/listen…and now I have to find the other books in the series!
I accepted a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is book three in this series with lots of laughs and tough women. One of the things I like about the way this is written is telling the characters’ history without being wordy and boring. Jules and Holt are perfect opposites for each other and both with their own baggage. The ending was a little tame for what I was expecting from Jules, but is still an HEA. I would recommend this for anyone who likes some humor with the heat.

I loved this story. Jules Star is the darling astronaut of NASA but not so good at relationships. Jules leaves town to visit a friend’s family farm after some disturbing texts. Rancher Holt Has been mesmerized by Jules since the first time he saw her. These two will make you smile as they work through a relationship neither ever dreamed would happen.

This is a quick and easy read. The storyline is well-crafted, intriguing, suspenseful, has drama and steam. The characters are defined, and likable with sizzling chemistry. I liked it.

This is another great story by Sara L. Hudson. I’ve read all of the books in the series and even though they are standalones, they are connected as some of the characters from previous books are also in this one. Getting to check in with previous characters is awesome and their relationships with the couple only add to the story. The characters are well developed and interesting.
NASA astronaut Julie Starr (Jules) recently returned from the ISS with the goal of becoming the youngest Flight Commander ever. She is already on her way to achieving her goal and isn’t going to let a stalker or a sexy cowboy rancher get in her way. Holt West is said sexy cowboy rancher and he knows Jules is a flirt and he had too much going on to add her to the mix. He’s working his ranch and helping his brother and sister follow their dreams. Holt doesn’t need Jules to distract him from what he needs to do.
Unfortunately for Holt and Jules, Holt’s brother and Jules’ best friend decide to get married which means that they’re thrown together as best man and maid of honor.
There are plenty of feels in this story. I did a lot of laughing but there were also times when I wanted to smack one of them upside the head. I would keep Holt though. I love that he blushes! I liked the way the story ended, but I wish there was an epilogue further out. I recommend reading this book.

Major Tom
That’s the song I kept hearing in my head when I read this book. Fun and flirty and a little bit quirky.
I liked that Jules was smart and sassy and the foil for her was way too serious cowboy Holt.
I don’t think there’s any middle ground with Jules, you either love her or you hate her. For me, I did both throughout the course of this book. It left me feeling a little spin-y at the end because I spent so much time see-sawing back and forth, usually in rapid succession, with how much I loved Jules but also how badly I thought she needed to have some good sense and manners knocked into her head. Holt, I adored about three-quarters of the time. He’s just about my picture-perfect cowboy gentleman. The big problem with him was that he was still letting his parents crap bog him down long after it ceased to be his problem. I can’t deny there’s lots of chemistry between these two. It was kind of like that Seether song, ‘F* Me Like You Hate Me’. I’m not sure I ever got the vibe that these two even liked one another, though. Overall, I enjoyed the story. It made me laugh and that can overcome a lot of the crunchy bits for me. I’m hoping that there are books planned for Jackie’s other two BFFs. I’d love to see what those stories could bring us.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
The great character and storyline development made this book a very enjoyable and entertaining read! Holt and Jules kept me totally glued to my kindle until the turn of the very last page!
Astronaut Julie “Jules” Starr becomes maid-of-honor for her best friend. Because she has a stalker at the moment, she is using this situation to keep a low profile by staying on the ranch where the wedding will happen and planning the “barnyard wedding of a lifetime”! Jules is bold, confident, exuberant, and curses like a sailor!
The groom’s brother, Holt West, is the best man for the wedding, and is thrown together with the flamboyant Jules. He is everything Jules is not – no cursing, sweet, a gentleman all the way.
Because they are such opposites, Jules and Holt fight their attraction while Jules’ stalker brings danger to everyone at the ranch. Between the laughter, drama, and suspense, the reader will be pulled immediately into the story – hang on for the wild ride!
Jules reads like a multifaceted character. She’s badass one minute but underderneith you get the vulnerable person. She’s very devoted to her small circle of friends and fiercely loyal to them. She is secretly in love with Holt West and he doesn’t want to love her but he can’t help himself. Holt is such a gentleman but he sees through Jules character. There is action, drama, suspense, a stalker, laughs and passion. Will Holt and Jules finally find their HEA and will the stalker be revealed? I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the story in the series that I have been waiting for. I love the outrageous character of Julie Starr (Jules). She is just such a wildly inappropriate kind of woman. She’s a poster child for professionalism and correctness as an astronaut but on earth? Not so much. You will have to definitely gear up for a wild ride though. If you know ahead of time that there will be sex, rough language with a lot of “F’ bombs but with a heroine with a heart of gold, you’ll be okay. But if it’s not something you want to travel into, at least you know. You’ll also be okay if you’ve only begun with this book, because it stands on it’s own. But I don’t know why you would want to miss out on any of the prior books in the series. Each one of the people in the books are interesting all on their own.
Back to the main characters..Jules. About that heart of gold. Yes, she has it but she has a really hard time expressing things with words. So her actions for those she cares about, are what do her talking. She takes care of people even though sometimes her actions can be misunderstood. Understood as her being only bossy or manipulative, which she is not. Well, the bossy part might be a bit true but it’s mainly for people’s best interests. But get on her bad side and you better get ready for a butt kicking. She cracks me up when she calls Holt, “Boy Scout.”
Jules is so self sufficient I was constantly wondering how in the world Holt or anyone else would know she was in danger.
Now onto Holt, the tough cowboy rancher guy who is Mr. Responsibility. Of course, you find out that at an early age he had to be. He basically raised both his brother, Flynn and his sister Rose. Rose is almost as funny as Jules, another one of a kind gal. The fun part is that Holt is a man who blushes and Jules will truly be one of those people who triggers that a lot.
They make for some interesting times. As Holt gets to know her, I think he says it best when he observes that Jules is a mass of contradictions.
I think the sex could have been dialed back a bit but hey we’re talking about Jules.
The stalker element was a good one, I enjoyed the whole story and I liked how the it ended.
“I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. The book is about Jules being an astronaut and she loves it. Jules being a maid of honor for her best friend Jackie she needs to work with the best man (Holt) which is the brother of the groom. Jules is have to deal with press people because of her job but she has to deal with a stalker that is watching her and knows her cell number. Holt is a rancher and that is where the wedding is going to be. Now would be the time to get the book. I will be getting more from this author.
I liked this book a lot. Julie and Holt are likable characters with great chemistry. The story line is fun and keeps you focused with a entertaining blend of humor, emotional turmoil, drama, suspense and romance. An all around, very enjoyable read.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from Booksprout.
Sara Hudson has done it again with the second book in her Space series, Space Cowgirl. Astronaut Julie Starr, who we met in Space Junk, is back on earth and planning a barn wedding for her best friend. She’s also avoiding a creepy stalker, so what better place to hide out than the ranch where the wedding will take place? And who better to hide out with than Holt West, brother of the groom, gentleman cowboy, and general all-around hunk?
Jules and Holt fight their attraction to each other as well as their preconceived ideas of who/what they want in life, as Jules dodges danger that threatens everyone she cares about. And it all happens with Hudson’s trademark humor and lots of sexytimes.
The supporting cast from Space Junk is back, and I can’t wait to find out which of them will star in the next book in the series.
Julie “Jules” Starr, daughter of an Army general, William Starr, graduate of Emery-Riddle University, Air Force Veteran and Astronaut is our heroine.
Holt West, oldest of 3 West children, independently wealthy due to the oil found on his grandfather’s “watch” who also runs his late grandfather’s farm. Neither one of them had to but they both have enjoyed the labor of farming.
When Jules BFF, who is also an astronaut, gets engaged to Holt’s younger brother, she asks Jules to be her maid of honor. Jules takes that, and the fact she gives her a “wedding flash drive” to mean she is to organize the wedding. Taking a long-needed vacation to do this, she shows up at the West farm, where the wedding will take place, much to Holts chagrin, commandeers a room and plans on staying until the wedding is over.
With Holt and Jules together, it feels like they are living a “comedy of errors.” They have two completely different personalities and ways of dealing with life, they lock horns, make up and the sparks fly.
Easy read but, with Jules’ attitude, pretty predictable.
Sara L. Hudson you are a RomCom-Sexy-Romance-Writing Queen. I love your wit, your special kind of crazy and your unique writing style. You are a breath of fresh air in the contemporary romance book world. In your latest book “Space Cowgirl: Houston All Systems Go” you’ve managed to make me laugh, educate me on all things NASA and turn me on. Well done you!
Jules is a curly haired, sassy mouthed, sexually open, list making, sexy astronaut.
Holt is a tall glass of cute and quirky boxer shorts wearing, blushes like a schoolgirl, sexy cowboy. Seriously they are incredible and together they are fantastic.
Jules is such an incredible heroine, she’s independent and motivated and so very, very funny. I mean, she turns a calf into a pet and names her Cookie, seriously over the top and a prime example of her loving and nurturing nature.
Holt is stoic, responsible to a fault and ever so proper. Everything from his posture and clean mouth (the man does not swear) is a turn on. He loves his siblings more than himself and deserves to have his world rocked.
Together Space Cowgirl Jules and Leave It To Beaver Cowboy Holt are magic. You will absolutely LOVE them. TBR this fantastic book and if you haven’t already read Space Age and Space Junk you need to rectify that right away. (I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.)
