NASA Flight Surgeon Dr. Rebecca Sato has earned her dream job. Now she’s ready to explore the next frontier… having a family. While responsible for the health of astronauts who fly through space in the International Space Station, her feet are firmly planted on the ground. But at thirty-six, the men on her radar are either intimidated by her intellect or not interested in having kids. So she … kids. So she devotes her spare time and energy to the local animal shelter.
At twenty-eight, Houston Lieutenant Firefighter Ryan Cassidy knows he’s an old soul.
Tired of girls his age who only crave a quick hook-up with a good-looking fireman, he’s ready to settle down with a wife, kids, maybe a dog.
When a fire at Johnson Space Center threatens NASA’s medical building, Ryan rushes in, ready to take charge. But he’s blindsided by a calm, compelling doctor who’s already in command of the evacuation. While the fire is easily contained, Ryan can’t say the same for his heart.
Attraction fans the flames, but dating a younger man is not in Rebecca’s comfort zone. Determined to synchronize their orbits, Ryan volunteers to pose for her animal shelter’s charity firefighter calendar. Between Ryan’s abs and his love for animals, the wall around Rebecca’s heart starts to fall. Will their age difference be too much to overcome?
Or will they achieve a five-alarm lift-off?

I absolutely loved this book! “Space Age: Houston Prepare to Launch” was my first book by Sara L. Hudson and what a fantastic way to get to know a new to me author. This book will have you hooked from page 1 because:
It’s a Reverse Age Gap romance (heck yeah!).
The heroine is a sexy, spunky, sassy doctor who works for NASA (Girl Power!).
The hero is a sexy as sin Fireman with a killer body and an old soul (*Swoon*).
The secondary characters are fantastic and add so much to your reading enjoyment (female astronaut, delicious firemen, adorable baby boy a.k.a. Little Man and rambunctious dogs and cuddly kittens).
InstaLike turns into InstaLove goodness with a sweet happily ever after.
Do yourself a favor and add this book to your TBR list and if you’re like me and this is your first book, you’ll add “Space Junk: Houston, We Have A Hottie” to your TBR list as well.

This was an awesome book that I really enjoyed. The story and characters grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn’t stop reading. I loved the characters and watching them grow together, they were well written and went well together. I found this book amazing with great word building making me feel apart of the story and watching it unfold in front of me. A definite must read for any fan and I can’t wait to read more from this author!!!

Yes this book isn’t rocket science but it doesn’t pretend to be it may be set in the world of NASA and astronauts but it is actually just a good old fashioned romance
Becca maybe the doctor that cares for the men and women on the astronaut program but what she really wants is to be a family woman she just wants an old fashioned marriage with children Then she meets hot firefighter Ryan he may be younger than her but he is an old soul wanting exactly the same thing as her. When the attraction between them goes off the charts could they both get what they want.
This was such a fun story. Loved the characters, especially Jules the astronut. Becca was totally brainwashed by her ridiculous parents. Ryan the fireman ends up meeting Rebecca when there is a small fire in the Clinic where Rebecca works as the Flight Surgeon. Ryan is the Lt. for the firemen that come to NASA. I won’t give too much away other than to say that I totally loved this story. I can’t wait to read Space Junk: Houston, We Have a Hottie. NASA doctor Becca is ready to settle down and have kids but her dates are not into that. Firefighter Ryan is wants you settle down so when he sees Becca he is mesmerized. I loved this book it has a successful strong career woman and a caring man who is comfortable with it. The book is full of lightheartedness and humorous caring characters. I can not wait to read about Jackie next.

Dr. Rebecca Sato find her match in Ryan Cassidy. It’s a match made in heaven (or in this case space)! I loved reading the story and I loved getting to know Rebecca and Ryan, their love story is unlike any other and yet it was sweet and steamy.

I absolutely LOVED this book. I will not give the synopsis since you can read the blurb and others give more detail but I definitely recommend!
The chemistry, sexiness, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things very interesting.
I cannot wait to read more by this author. Definitely worth your time!

Such a sweet romance story! Becca and Ryan certainly are not your typical couple. He works a high-stress job as a firefighter, while she works a high-stress as a doctor to astronauts. But it isn’t the difficulty finding time for each other with their crazy hours. Nor is the attraction and desire they feel for each other. Nope. It’s that Becca is hung up on their age difference. And this brings all sorts of drama and angst into a relationship that’s barely begun. But as they learn more about each other, they figure out what’s more important.

I really liked this story. It was different than what I usually read, but it was interesting and fun. This is a new author for me so now I will have to check out her other books.
NASA Flight Surgeon Dr. Rebecca (Becca) Sato is ready to have a family, she just has to find a partner. She is thirty-six and the men that she has dated recently either don’t want kids or don’t like that she is smarter than them. Becca spends her spare time volunteering at the local animal shelter.
At twenty-eight, Houston Lieutenant Firefighter Ryan Cassidy knows he’s ready to have a wife, kids, the whole shebang. When there’s a fire at Johnson Space Center, Ryan rushes in and finds a doctor that’s already in command of the evacuation.
Rebecca is positive that she doesn’t want to be dating a younger man. Trying to change Rebecca’s mind, Ryan volunteers to pose for her animal shelter’s charity firefighter calendar.
Ryan and Becca were cute. I understood Becca being upset about Ryan lying, but I also understood why Ryan chose to do so. I don’t usually read older woman and younger man romances, but this one may just change my mind! I loved their happy ever after, but I do wish there was another epilogue a couple of years out, but that’s probably cause I’m greedy. I definitely recommend reading this book.

If you’re looking for something fresh, unique, and completely captivating in your romance reading, this is it! This book showed up in one of my bargain book emails, and something about it grabbed me right away. Usually I may click on a book here and there, but somehow this book was a siren’s call to my romantic heart.
First of all, the cover. One look at it, after I recovered from laughing hysterically, told me that this is a writer who doesn’t take herself too seriously. Then, reading the blurb, the older woman/younger man setup really caught my attention. And last, but certainly not least, this series is based on astronauts, and the focus is on the female lead. Make room, romancelandia, there’s a new trope in town and it is out of this world!
Maybe it’s the take-charge, competent physician who longs for a family of her own, or the old-soul young firefighter who wants to settle down, or the bond and banter between both female friends and the brotherhood of firefighters, or the shelter pets highlighted here, but this book appeals to me on so many levels. And I’ll admit, my compulsive proofreading brain did it’s own happy dance skipping through words so perfectly knit together.
If you’re like me and love finding new authors, here’s your chance. The storytelling is engaging, the characters are vivid, relatable and endearing, and the balance of humor, heat and heart takes the reader on a compelling, hilarious, heartfelt ride of the very best kind. I’m so glad I took a chance on this fresh new voice, and I can’t wait to get my greedy little hands on the next book in this series!
Dr. Rebecca Sato has achieved everything she’s set out to do. Now she’s ready to have a family, and at the age of 36, her biological clock is ticking. But the men she dates expect her to play second fiddle to their careers, and that’s now how she rolls. Ryan Cassidy is a 28-year-old firefighter who is ready to be done with the badge bunnies who just want to have fun. He’s babysat for his sister enough to know he’s ready to settle down himself.
When they meet at a fire in Rebecca’s NASA medical building, sparks fly. But the doctor has an issue with dating younger men. Ryan won’t give up easily, though, and soon there’s a lot of firefighter beefcake going on for a charity calendar for Rebecca’s animal shelter.
This is a fast-paced novella full of well-rounded characters, funny moments, and steamy sex. Best of all, it’s a great introduction to Hudson’s Space series. Some upcoming major characters make cameo appearances here. Space Age is not a cliff-hanger. But it definitely left me wanting the next book in the series, Space Junk!
Great read! A fun, sweet reverse-age romance with a strong heroine kicking it in her chosen field as a doctor for NASA and a younger fireman who’s absolutely okay with her career success and her age. As a matter of fact, the heroine is who is concerned about the eight-year age gap. I loved the light-hearted nature of their love story and the maturity of both characters.
This is the first book I’ve read by Sara Hudson and I’ll definitely be reading more, as well as the two additional books in this series.
This was an awesome read that I thoroughly had a great time reading. The chemistry is undeniable from the beginning to the end . The characters are well well written and the storylines flowed smoothly.

A sweet, sexy, older woman/younger man standalone rom-com. You will laugh, you will swoon, and you will fall in love with Becca and Ryan.
This book has good main characters with a few good sidekicks too! Age is a HUGE issue for Rebecca but she also has some valid reasons for it. Being older that Ryan is something that she is NOT comfortable with. Ryan has his work cut out for him. Ryan is all in when he meets Rebecca, it happens for him pretty quickly. He admires her confidence, discipline, and smarts when he meets her on the job. That first meeting in itself is unusual. Oh I almost forgot to mention he admired how good looking she was too. And they find that they share the love of animals too.
I liked how Ryan was a good guy who got ribbed by people he knew because he wasn’t the norm when it came to dating. His goals were different. He didn’t want to play the field, he wanted to settle down with The One. He was also described as an Old Soul. And the scenes of Ryan with his nephew? Oh yeah, sweet!
Rebecca’s unofficial sidekick is hysterically funny. Hysterically funny and totally without a filter too. Jules is a Astronaut under Rebecca’s supervision. But nothing can put a stopper in her amusing but TOTALLY inappropriate ( and sexual) comments. Rebecca may be the supervising doctor but Jules is not one smidgen afraid to get in Rebecca’s business. In fact she is the one who gives Rebecca a push towards Ryan. For her own good of course. It does lead to some pretty funny adult humor. Even as she shocks you it’s still hard not to like her. And I it looks like Jules does get her own story in another book (there was a peek at it). That should be good too.
There is also a H.E.A. conclusion happening for Rebecca and Ryan.
“I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”
Loved the characters. It’s a short very sweet story with shelter animals, firemen, a calendar and lets not forget the NASA background.
This is a great first novel. It’s a sweet and sometimes funny story about an older woman and a younger man although the age difference is less than ten years so it is not really a big deal except to Rebecca. Even though she had some issues she never lost sight of who she was and where she wanted to go with her life. There were parts of the story that had me laughing out loud. Between her friend, Jules, and his nephew it was very entertaining.
I am looking forward to more from this author.
I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This was a really good little older woman younger man romance I really liked Ryan but have to admit that Becca some times came over as the immature one in this book I enjoyed this little read the storyline was good and enjoyed getting to know these two I am looking forward to reading more.
This is exactly the kind of book I love. It has a slightly geeky heroine absolutely rockin’ it in a STEM field. There’s a sweetly alpha hero who know what he wants and isn’t shy about going after it. This book is also filled with lots of sarcasm and innuendo – which exactly my kind of humor. I’m also loving that this book flips the script by having an older woman with a younger man. Though I have to admit, Becca’s nearly paralyzing angst over the age difference between her and Ryan got to be too much for me really fast. I’m already starting to fall in love with the secondary characters and I’m looking forward to reading more in this series.
A cute, quick read
What I liked:
The writing style
The characters
The “crazy astronaut”
Dual POVs
Part of a series: Space Series
Standalone
HEA
Epilogue
I look forward to reading more from this author.
