good lite reading
Very enjoyable read. Good for rainy days and relaxing.
I liked this book and will buying the next in the series. I laughed out loud quite a few times! I like the main character and her ghostly friend. I can’t wait to see what happens to her next!
When I discovered the Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries series a while ago, I was hooked. I love the setting, the mysteries, and instantly took to Verity and the other likeable protagonists. Verity as the first-person narrator also brings an element of kindness to the story, which I enjoy very much.
I loved everything about this book. I am looking forward to the second in the series, ” The skeleton in the closet”.
Really enjoyed couldn’t put it down
I really liked it. It kept me engaged through the whole book.
You can’t keep a good woman down! Dripping with southern charm and good ole weirdness. Read it at all one go!
Great book loved every minute.
Has everything I love. Smart breezy style of writing, good plot a bit of romance and a wise cracking ghost. Have read several of the sequels and they are good too!
Very enjoyable.
Mayor reveals himself too soon.
Started out slow but turned out good
Nice characters and exciting plot.
Lots of fun!
And for those looking for squeaky clean, only one hint of non squeaky clean. Suitable for nearly everyone. A blush scale of barely 1.
I really didn’t think I would like this book, as it is not my usual type of book. I was really surprised, when I found that I could not put it down. It’s not a “heavy” read, but it was very entertaining, and I can’t wait to read the 2nd book in the series.
Went on to read 2 more of them.
A hilarious mystery full of eclectic ghosts and small town charcters. A great summer read to uplift your “spirits”, with no sex, profanity or gratuitous violence. Compelling writing made it a page turner for me. Highly recommend for those looking for a little comedy with their who-done-it.
Not my favorite genre but it was quite amusing in places. Mostly was a waste of time.
An enjoyable light mystery with humor, no horrifying blood and guts scenes and a good outcome. Sometimes one just needs some entertainment with a few twists and this author provides it. It left with me wanting to see what else happens to this delightful heroine
