Losing everything has a way of messing with a girl’s head, forcing her to seek comfort in the arms of a man she doesn’t really want. I know this. In a fit of devastation, I hand my virginity off to another and then marry him, leaving the burning love of my life in ashes. But the thing about fire is that even among the ashes, ember burns, and all it takes is the perfect kindling to reignite a … blazing inferno.

Great Story & Audible ListenSweet & Heartfelt!
Southern Inferno
By: Remi Wild, Ravenna Young
Narrated by: Christian Drerup
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it is well written and well told with interesting storylines that captivated me from start to end. The characters are nicely developed, I really liked the female lead, Zeta Reilly, even after all she went thru she still had the strength and drive to succeed. She faced losses and challenges and did not let it keep her down. She hasn’t had much luck with men, she really liked Nick but he kept pushing her away. I really liked him and was rooting for them two but he needed to get past his own issues and insecurities. Remi Wild, the romantic side Raveena Young, has a way with words, she fit a lot of story into this novella sized book. It is heartfelt and filled with southern charm, as well as drama, angst, a twist and some hot romance. I loved who well plotted this story was and how it all played out. Thank you for this great book and the emotional rollercoaster ride.
I listened to the Audible edition, Christian Druerup does a wonderful job narrating the story and performing the voices for all the characters. She brings each to life, giving them their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen
She has the life of a southern belle till devastating loss has made her weak, along with a big mistake compounded by another mistake, a new loss and a revelation, is Zeta’s Reilly’s new life. Regret, remembrance of her reserve, and the man that she can’t get out of her head, give her the courage to endeavor.
Short, sweet, fun, an amazing HEA, along with a new to me narrator Christian Drerup, I recommend.
I was gifted this audible book for a fair and honest review.
Southern Inferno

Southern Inferno packs a punch, yet is sweet and passionate. Remi Wild and Ravenna Young, while fairly new to me are authors who writes a story that I can escape into and enjoy. This one takes us on Zeta’s journey. She is a girl of privilege, but loves to get her hands dirty on her family’s farm. Her parents would love to see her married to her childhood friend, Branson, yet she wants to hold out for that true love, like that pang she gets around farmhand Nick. Circumstances change, and her life is turned upside down. Will she find her grounding again? This story had a few twists and turns I didn’t see coming in it. We have two men, one with passion and one for convenience. For a while I wasn’t sure how things were going to turn out, but I was totally invested and had to see it through! Star gazing, rainy nights, and unforeseen happenings change Zeta’s life, and it’s a tough road to find her happiness. I loved taking the ride with her.
This is the first narration by Christian Drerup that I have heard, and I enjoyed her performance. She has a great southern accent, easily flows between characters and has a good pace. I am looking forward to seeing more from her.

The aptly entitled Southern inferno is a contradiction in terms. Remi Wild has a knack for raises the stakes and creating impossible tension in a story that feels completely plausible, which makes for a compelling tale one can relate to. At first blush, Zeta Reilly seems like your average Josephine, but as the pages turn, we find she’s so much more and when things go south for her, they go deep south. The plot is totally unpredictable, the descriptions sparse but vivid, and the writing concise, but when Nick shows up…again and again…things really begin to heat up. This one is sizzling hot and at the same time, hard to put down.
