Sweet story with a little bit of sadness and a few very important health lessons for women. I enjoy the way the author adds the breast cancer advice/awareness. I’m happy that Whitney finds Aaron and she could be “the one for him”. Whitney needs all the support and love during this difficult times, Aaron and his family are there for her. Love the story.
fun read
Moving to Kentucky is supposed to be a new start for Whitney. Leaving behind the loss of her mother, the move becomes positive when Whitney and Aaron connect. But will this love at first sight be able to overcome the baggage that follows Whitney? Or will Aaron be exactly what her mom hoped she would find? Highly emotional and a joy to read. I loved this couple from the minute they came together and the love comes directly from Aaron is what HEA’s are written about. He is the ultimate man to fall in love with. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Whitney is starting over in a new town so she can have family around. She has been through a loss.
Aaron hasn’t found the one he is looking for until his sister hires Whitney. What starts out as friendship turns into so much more.
I enjoyed this book!! I will be reading the next one soon!
Kaylee Ryan has captivated my attention once again!!
Southern Desire was such a cute, sexy, loveable read. I completely fell in love with Aaron and Whitney. They are two characters you can’t help but fall for. The relationship they share is what most people desire in real life. They want someone who will be there for them, as well as provide them with that romantic connection. These two characters definitely shared that.
I definitely recommend Southern Desire to everyone. I am eagerly anticipating reading even more books from Kaylee in the future!!
4.5/5 Stars!
Kaylee Ryan you have done it again, I haven’t read many of your books but when I do, ohhhh I don’t even know what to say all I know is I need to read so many more.
Firstly thank you so much for letting me read Southern Pleasure early I am honoured and what a fantastic book.
This was perfect to book to arrive in my kindle, I felt like I needed something heart-warming and beautiful and boy did I get it and so much much more. This book for me was unexpected and I freaking loved everything about it.
Whitney was an amazing character and I loved everything about her, her strength, her love, even heart broken she shone throughout the pages. I just wanted to get into the book and hug her. I just felt so much for this character and she had me hanging on every word.
Aaron holy hell I just want a cowboy in my life if they are like Aaron, he was just such a fantasy and I wish more guys were like him. His passion, his love, his big huge heart ohh I just want to take him home with me and look after him loved loved everything about him.
I also have to have to make a special mention to Lexi, I am a big sucker for kids that are adorable and just take over the story and every time she popped up big smile on my face absolutely adored her.
What a fantastic book if you’re looking for something that makes you cry, laugh, lots of romance then you need to get this book pronto do it.
5 stars for sure from me didn’t even have to think about it, such a well written beautiful book.
Aaron and Whitley have a fantastic friends to lovers story.
Aaron knows when he meets the one he will just know, so why would he waste his time in a woman who wouldn’t make the cut. Whitley’s father left and her mother recently passed. She doesn’t need another person to leave her heartbroken. What they end up with is something neither one expected.
Kaylee is a long time just buy author for me, and even now I continue to re-read despite knowing what’s coming. I highly recommend you check out this book!
I fell in love with Aaron in Southern Pleasure bk 1 of the series. So when I saw that Aaron and Whitney’ got their story I could not wait to read. Aaron was happy with the way his life was going, but when his little sister found her HEA with his best friend Evan, he was wondering when he would find The One. He also thought he would know who The One was just like that. Whitney needed a new start with her only family she had left and that meant moving from Chicago to Kentucky. What she didn’t expect was she would be in the arms of an amazing cowboy the made her feel again. Whitney is hiding something important from everyone she loves even Aaron. When she runs from the one person that means so much to her, thinking it’s for the best, will he understand when he fines out or will he let her go. This story has a great message for us all. Kaylee always brings her all when she gives us her amazing Stories. You will not.be disappointed.
As much as I loved Evan and Kinley, I kept thinking about Aaron through out their story. His outlook on love seemed kind of warped, and I knew it would take a special woman to change his mind. Enter Whitney. She brought with her the kind of baggage that makes you want to cry. She is so strong, and determined to keep her distance at the beginning, that Aaron is forced to get to know her slowly. Before you know it, BAM! Love hits Aaron in the face, and Whitney isn’t far behind. Her past comes back to haunt her, and Aaron shows her he is strong enough to love her through it. Beautiful!
The first was amazing. This book beat that. I love this series and can’t wait to read more. I want more of Aaron and Whitney. But I also loved getting more of Evan and Kinley. I can’t believe the way this one ended. I need more. I recommend this book to everyone.
Listening to an audio version of this book may not have been the smartest thing that I’ve ever done. It was a great story, but it brought tears to my eyes more than once and that is not conducive to driving safely.
Aaron – I loved him in book 1 and was happy he was getting his story. I wanted to shake him a time or two because he was so hung up on finding “the one” and how he would know when he met her that she was right under his nose and he was oblivious. Everyone else knew but him. He knew he was falling for her. Thankfully he wised up quickly and went after what he wanted – Whitney. Once he did, it was swoon city. Loved him. He was devoted, hard working and a family man.
Whitney- she was a great heroine. Losing her mom and moving close to the only family she had left was hard on her. She quickly realized that the move was the smartest thing she’s done. Not just because she was closer to her family, but it brought her to the love of her life- Aaron. While I didn’t agree with all the choices she made, the fact she remedied the bad one she made towards the end rather quickly helped.
-no cheating
-zero ow/om drama
– slight pushing away that lasted very briefly
– not overly steamy but a few hotter scenes
– no violence of any nature
-safe
– just ok epilogue. This would have potentially been 5 stars of it had a better epilogue. It was cute but not enough.
