I had everything I ever wanted, living the dream, at least that’s what I always thought. The night we met, we had an instant attraction, but she was with someone else. When we reunited a few months later, that pull was still there, stronger than ever. So strong, that even though she was hundreds of miles away, I pursued her. I told myself that I just wanted to get to know her. Deep down I knew it … it was more.
I never understood the draw of living in the middle of nowhere. Born and raised a city girl, I never had the desire to leave. Who would have thought a weekend trip to the country would have me questioning myself? It was more than just the country; it’s him. The way he looks at me, treats me, that smooth southern drawl.
Am I willing to give up my legacy for her?
Am I willing to give up my dream for him?
Can two souls come together by the force of Southern Attraction?
Book One: Southern Pleasure
Book Two: Southern Desire

I absolutely loved this book . I sat down and literally read it from beginning to end. It was that gripping, that interesting and that loving. I absolutely loved the relationship between Mike and Jamie. I felt every single emotion that they felt trying to figure out how they were going to make this relationship work and last. You could easily feel how much these two are meant to be together.
Mike is the prefect southern gentlemen. Hard working with the southern charm. Who wouldnt want a man like that by their side? Jamie is loving the country but has her dreams. But love overcame it all. This was a very well written romance about fighting, losing and hanging on to what is important in the end. I loved it. Highly recommend this amazing book
great series
Jamie and Mike feel an instant attraction when Jamie comes to visit her best friend Whitney. The only problem is that he lives in Kentucky and she lives in Chicago. Can the two work through a distant relationship? Will one have to give up their livelihood in order for the romance to continue? Or will the stars align and not only bring them closer but also make everything right? Although the story had no surprises the love that the characters felt was honest and true. The reader only wants them to be happy and stay in love.
This was a sweet southern romance. I enjoy reading about these sexy southern men.
Jamie is back to visit her friend Whit. She hasn’t been able to get Mike out of her mind since meeting him 6 months ago.
Mike has casually been dropping hints asking how Jamie has been doing. When she comes back to visit the sparks are there more than ever.
These two have a spark that only burns brighter as time goes. Will they decide what everyone else already knows?
This was a great #KURead.
Southern Attraction by Kaylee Ryan was a fabulous read!
Mike and Jamie are two characters who will make you swoon. They have so much pent up emotion and feelings for one another, whether they want to admit them or not, that you simply cannot ignore the pull between them. There relationship was simply irresistible.
Kaylee has written another amazing novel that I was unable to put down. A definite must read!
5/5 Stars!
The one thing that you can guarantee with a Kaylee Ryan book is that you are going to get a beautiful love story and I was not disappointed at all with Mike and Jamies story.
The thing I loved the most was the involvement of all the previous characters and how we got to see how all their lives were panning out and the way they were matchmaking Jamie and Mike
.
Jamie was a great character as, she was so driven and really wanted to make a life for herself. Her best friend had already met the love of her life and had moved to be with him which made her miss her best friend and she was still in Chicago dating douchebags. What she didn;t realise was visiting her best friend would change her life.
I really loved Mike he was so sweet, soppy, romantic and the thing i loved the best was his honesty, he kept his heart of his sleeve and to me that was really refreshing. He loved his job, his friends and his country life, all that was missing was a love life, but he knew what he was looking for. He just had to be patient
I loved this story and the the toughness of a long distance relationship, I really loved this story and fit perfectly with the other books in this series.
absoulety loved it, if your looking for sweet, lovely, beautifully written book then this a must
5 stars for this story.
After Jamie’s best friend moves to Kentucky she goes for a visit and meets a man who makes her wonder about the possibilities, but her dream job can only be found in the city and he is a country boy through and through. They both feel the pull, they can’t help but want more with the other. Can they find a way to make it work?
Two People that have one thing in common, Whitney. Jamie never thought by visiting her Best Friend in Kentucky would result in her meeting Mike. After spending a weekend getting to know his cousin’s best friend Mike’s world has never been the same. Mike lived and breathed his Family’s Bar, but that weekend changed everything, he can’t stop thinking about Jamie. He knows her life is in Chicago and he is in Kentucky how can they make this work. The pull is so strong and they can’t deny that what they have is worth the fight. Will they figure this relationship out where they each get what they want and still be that person for each other. Every One Needs A Happy Ever After.
I’ve been waiting for Mike’s story since meeting him in Southern Pleasure! He seemed to be such a playful, fun loving character! And I had an inkling that it was coming after Southern Desire. Now, after reading Mike and Jamie’s story, I know it was well worth the wait!
Jamie is a typical city girl. She loves everything about being raised in the city. Mike is a true southern country boy, born and bred. His legacy is in his hometown, and he has never felt the need to wander.
Mike and Jamie are so amazing together, but it seems like there is absolutely no way for them to work things out to be together. Regardless of how perfect they seem for each other, the distance is insurmountable. They both do their best to resist, but know they will end up getting hurt.
This story is everything I could have hoped for. As much as I enjoyed Southern Pleasure and Southern Desire, Mike and Jamie are totally my favorites. Their relationship is both insta-love and a slow burn, easy but at the same time difficult. I was kept guessing until the very end, and it was AMAZING! Once again, Kaylee Ryan has taken the seemingly impossible, and created a beautiful love story from it!
Southern Attraction by Kaylee Ryan is my second read by this author and I absolutely loved this book. It was sweet, charming and romantic. I loved the characters and the story so much. I was pulled in from the start and could not stop reading!
This is the third book in a series of sexy, charming and downright hot southern men. Though this is the first book I read in the series, I never once felt lost. This was a standalone, though I am very excited to go back and read the other two books!
Mike and Jamie met in the previous book, which is about their respective best friends. When they first meet, she is casually dating someone else, but they feel a connection neither could deny. Now months later she is free and he is ready to explore this connection they feel.
I loved, loved, loved Mike Wallace. He was utter PERFECTion. He was sweet, charming, sexy, protective and loyal. Seriously you cannot help but fall for him as you read this story. Mike has been very dedicated to bar that has been in his family for generations. It is his family’s legacy. He put his heart and soul into Mike’s Tavern. But when Jamie enters his life, she rocks his world in a way he never expected.
Jamie is happy with her life. She was born and raised a city girl and has never imagined a different kind of life. Though she is happy for her best friend, who now seems happy and content being a country girl, she cannot imagine changing her life so drastically. Though her job may be coming to an end soon, she sees this as an opportunity to find her dream career. But what she had not counted on was the way Mike affects her.
As her friend’s Whitney’s wedding approaches, Jamie heads down to Kentucky to help with dress shopping and wedding planning. But this time she has no complications, so her and Mike really hit it off and still feel the strong connection and chemistry they felt when they first met. They decide to take things slow and get to know each other. But the more they get to know each other, the more they realize how much the other means to them. But can they find a way to be together despite the distance?
Though Mike and Jamie feel the pains of a long-distance relationship, I loved their story. It was such a sweet and romantic story about two people who get to know each other and begin to fall for each other. They take their time to really get to learn the other person, what they like and what is important to them. Even with the distance, you can feel their connection. But the more they fall, can they find a way to bridge the distance between them?
I loved Southern Attraction. This story was full of romance and was so charming. Even with the distance, it was nice to read a story of two people who just really like each other. I am excited to read more from this author in the future! I am loving her writing style and her characters!
Happy reading
I love this series. These guys are awesome. The girls are amazing too. But I love all the down home southern charm these men have. Their mommas should be proud
Now THIS is a hero……
Southern Attraction indeed. This story got me right in the feels. I’ve been restless with the heroes in books lately. Too many manwhores who don’t know how to be a real man. This was a story that didn’t need depend on ow/om nonsense for the drama, it was a heartfelt story.
HERO~ Mike was A-MA-ZING. He was sexy, charming, loving and swoon-worthy. He was loyal to his family and friends and an all around great guy. There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like about him.
HEROINE~ Jamie was a good heroine. There was a point I wanted to shake her teeth loose but she turned it around. She was sweet, kind and also a loyal friend to Whitney (book 2) I thought she made a great addition to this gang.
SEXUAL HISTORY~ Neither were virgins. Mike was not a manwhore and had been celibate for 2 years.
OM/OW DRAMA ~ Zero – it was refreshing
STEAM I would consider this a slow burn. There was some steamy parts but not an abundance (I could have used more and it brought my rating down some)
VIOLENCE No violence of any nature
SAFETY Safe – neither were with others after meeting. Jamie had a boyfriend when they met. She did nothing with Mike that weekend and she broke it off with her boyfriend when she got home. Neither were with others after meeting
ENDING~ Short epilogue 6 months later and I NEEDED more. With a better epilogue this would have been 5 stars for me.
“His love has changed me, and I’ll never be the same.”
Whew the chemistry between Michael and Jamie was so strong from the word go, you could almost chew on it. And, Kaylee Ryan hadn’t even written this couple into bed yet!
Jamie had visited her best friend in Kentucky, coming across another hot and sexy southern man. Spending time together as friends, the attraction was immediate, and long lasting, as she continued to think of him long after she’d come home and ended things with the man she’d started to see back home in Chicago.
In turn, Mike hadn’t had much time in the company of women either, concentrating on the task of taking over and managing the family pub, until that evening spent with Jamie. Six months later, she’s back for another visit with Whitney, and their friends do everything to encourage time spent together.
While the relationship may have moved slowly, the chemistry and the intensity built quickly due to the anticipation, as they got to know each other and move forward with the relationship. Mike wanted Jamie to know that when they finally ‘got together’ for the first time, it was damn well going to mean something, yet the thought was always in the back of their minds, how exactly could they fall in love when there’s six hours between them. When they think about the possibility of love going that distance.
It was great to see the gorgeous couples from Southern Pleasure, and Southern Desire again, as Jamie helped her best friend Whitney arrange her wedding to Aaron, including the young Lexi, Evan and McKinley’s’ little girl in the bridal party, as the flower girl. The secondary characters are a strong and loving supportive influence on Mike and Jamie where it makes a refreshing change to have everyone in our couple’s corner, rather than trying to undermine them.
I absolutely adored Kaylee’s book, along with the rest of the series and pre-ordered of course, and I recommend it as a great read to those who love sexy strong men unafraid to admit to their feelings, nor for going after those they want. Being heavy on that old Southern Charm didn’t hurt either. In Jamie’s words, “My mind drifts to a conversation Whit and I had after she first moved here and spent some time with Aaron. “Guys are just different here, respectful. It’s like a whole new world.” There. Read it for yourself, maybe starting from Book One while you’re at it. 5 Stars.
When I saw the title for this book, Southern Attraction, I was drawn to it. You see, I am a transplant to the South. I’ve met a few really good southern men with that sexy drawl, manners that their Mommas drilled into them, and smoldering looks. So yeah, I wanted to read this book.
Kaylee Ryan did not disappoint with her story of love and compromise. The third book in her Southern Heart series is a gratifying, sexy, heartwarming story. With characters from the first 2 books of the series making an appearance, she tells us about how two people, who felt the connection from the first time they met to their HEA.
Mike is a sexy southern bar owner. Muscles, liquor, and sexy times. What more could a girl need?
Jamie, a city girl by birth, had dreams of the job she’d been working towards all of her life. But meeting Mike made her rethink her dreams and look for forever.
Read as a standalone, it is a great book. However, since I finished it, I want to go back and read the first 2 books so that I know how all the characters came to be at in this story.
