This story was exciting, adventurous, romantic, and dangerous! It all starts with Sam winning the claim to a gold mine in a poker game! He is so excited for a chance to discover enough gold to buy a ranch for him and his brother. Over night his claim is stolen, so he goes looking for the thief, then the adventure begins. He travels with 2 …
Learning more about life in the rough west of 1851 is great fun for me. Cassie is one tough lady but has to learn the hard way that people, even family can not be trusted. Once trust is broken, it is hard to regain as Cassie and Sam learn. Sweet story.
This was a cute book that has a little bit of it all.. love, family, adventure.. and it keeps you reading it… It was a very good book that I managed to read in one day… Loved it!!
If historical romance is your thing, it is mine, you will love reading Sourdough Creek. A little history, a little romance, a little humor, all written with good values. This is my second book by this author and I loved both. Started my third last night. My favorite historical romance author for the last 30 years passed away and I was …
I love books of this era and the strength of the characters. History teaches us so much.
Really enjoyed reading about early Americans way of life.
This was not what I expected when I started this book. I was gradually drawn to the characters and was finding myself talking to them in my head about what they were doing, read certain entertaining sections aloud to my husband who does not do romance- that for me is a sign of a good book to read. Thoroughly enjoyable
Great romantic western with enough action to hold your interest from start to finish.
kept you wanting to go pick up the story after you had to break from it…enjoyable
Edge of seat page turning, delightful and sometimes tearful but a great read.
Just a fast but interesting read. Enjoyed it very much.
I was surprised at how quickly I was drawn into this story and couldn’t wait to see what would happen. I’m fascinated by the hard lives people had back in the gold rush days and how they coped and overcame obstacles. I really enjoyed the story and so happy the good guy won!
great
Love her works
I like historical fiction that teaches me something and this one did do that. Unfortunately, I could only give this book 3 stars for several reasons: Sam is a great character. Cassie is extremely annoying – but not as annoying as her Uncle Arvid. I kept hoping that Cassie would smarten up and Arvid would take a hike. Sam is the ONLY reason I …
This is a nice story. I really enjoyed reading it. The characters were believable and it was easy to read.
