“FOR FRACTURED SOULS ARE LIKE MAGNETS.DRAWN TO COLLIDE INTO AN IMPOSSIBLE BLISS…”Labeled a ‘Cursed’ woman of Eve from birth, Maddie has endured nothing but pain and repression at the hands of The Order’s most abusive elder, Moses. Now living with her sister in The Hangmen’s secluded compound, finally, Maddie, is free. Free from the suffocating faith she no longer believes in. Free from endless … from endless years of physical and mental torment.
Just… free…
At age twenty-one, the timid and shy Maddie is content to live within the confines of her new home—safe from the outside world, safe from harm and, strangely, protected by the Hangmen’s most volatile member; the heavily pierced and tattooed, Flame.
Flame.
The man who ceaselessly watches over her with his midnight dark and searing eyes. The man who protects her with a breath-taking intensity. And the man who stirs something deep within her numbed heart.
But when circumstances conspire for Flame to need HER help, Maddie bravely risks it all for the broken man who has captivated her fragile soul.
The Hangmen’s most infamous member, Flame, is ruled by one thing—anger. Plagued by haunting demons from his past, an all-consuming rage, and isolated by an abhorrent hatred of being touched, Flame’s days are filled with suffocating darkness, pierced only by a single ray of light—Maddie. The shy, beautiful woman he cannot purge from his thoughts. The woman he has an overwhelming need to possess…
… the only person who has ever been able to touch him.
Flame’s mission in life is to protect Maddie, to keep her safe. Until a trigger from his troubled past sends him spiraling into madness, trapping him in the deepest recesses of his disturbed mind.
His Hangmen brothers fear that Flame is beyond saving.
His only hope of salvation: Maddie and her healing light.

This is the stroy that i couldn’t wait for when you were introduced to these two characters in the first book in the series.
when you are first introduced to Flame in “IT ain’t Me, Babe” and his character is one that makes you want to know more about him, at least for me. Flame is one that does not like to be touched or to touch others. he is very solitary in his life. the tattoos, scars and the self cutting are what makes others stay at a distance, even his MC brothers. that is until he meets Maddie. it is when he is with her that you are told his story and the reason for why he is the way that he is.
Maddie was introduced as well in the first book of the series, she is the sister of the Mae. you are told of some of her story in the first and second books of the series, but it is this book that you are brought to understand why Maddie is one of solidarity as well.
When Flame kills the man that Maddie was serving under she does something that no one ever thought would happen she hugged another person, and that person was Flame. this contact was the beginning of Flame’s obsession with Maddie, and Maddie’s obsession with Flame. they both were two broken people that were able to heal one another.
Firstly, I have wrote and rewrote this review about 3 times – nothing I say feels like I am doing Flame, Maddie & Tillie justice! This book is just so good, Tillie Cole must have poured her heart and soul into writing this!
2 words : DESTROYED.EMOTIONALLY.
If you have read the other Hangmen books (and you definitely should!), then you know this is going to hit you right in the heart…and it does, it tears your heart out!
Flame – oh god Flame
Maddie – oh god Maddie
Up to chapter 4 – lump in my throat the size of a continent
Chapter 8 – this book is killing my hardened heart
Chapter ‘11’ – 11, yes 11……
And it goes on, every chapter revealing more, the lump in my throat is getting bigger and bigger and I thought it might actually burst!
These 2 people, Flame and Maddie have just had the worst happen to them in their lives, they are so damaged and then they find each other, it was heartbreaking, breathtaking and beautiful all at the same time. They are each other’s light. ‘I don’t feel the flames when you’re near’.
You see the characters from the previous books (Styx, love him) and you see a little more of what I hope to be future characters books (AK please!) You see more of their strong brotherhood, their bonded relationships and you just know you want to read more and more about them all – this is what I love about this series, all of the characters are intriguing.
What I loved about this book is that I didn’t fall in love with Flame in the ‘biblical’ sense (I am fickle, I have a new BBF every day!) but not Flame, I wanted to mother him, to look after him, to save him…but Maddie beat me to it!
**TRIGGER WARNING IT HAS IT ALL**
So here we get another cursed women from the religious cult. This is Maddie’s and Flame’s story. Now Maddie is Mae’s blood sister and I thought I was prepared for this story but Tillie did it again and broke me. This series is like no other series I have read before. It is gritty, heartbreaking, emotional and soul wrenching. So we get why Maddie stays to herself. Her upbringing was a hard. It was not easy and I am surprised that she had not shattered. Then we have Flame who is part of the psycho trio. He does not like to be touched and we find out why. That was just as hard to swallow, but I get him now. He is different and perceives things differently as well. He is blunt to the point and this makes people uneasy. Besides the flame tattoos and piercings. These two are magnets to each other it is amazing. To see how these two become one on this heart breaking journey was amazing. The things Flame does for her and her for him, I could not have imagined a better partner for each. I literally came apart while reading this book and I loved how it all unfolded. What a great journey for them both. Off to the next one.

This was such a dark read!!! I have no triggers at all, but some scenes on here were hard to digest. But still it was an awesome read!
I have been waiting for months to get into Flame and Maddie’s story and I have to say I did really love them. They both connected thru their awful past and slowly helped each other heal and get over it.
Maddie was stronger than I expected. I love how much she fought for Flame and was there for him unconditionally. She always told him the right things and I couldn’t be prouder of her.
As for Flame, he surprised me for good. He is so damaged and has been thru a lot, but besides his scars, his soul is pure and I completely fell for him. He always protected his Maddie and never once judged her for her past.
Together, they slowly helped each other to heal and get over their horrendous past. It was so cute to see them fall for each other and embrace their new feelings
Aside from their story, I did love the friendship Flame has with AK and Viking, aka the psycho trio. They were there for him in his worst moments and never left him behind. I absolutely adore their bond and I hope to see them more on the next books in the series.
Overall, as someone who love dark romance books, I couldn’t recommend this one enough. Please check it out if interested!!
This one was hard to read. I had been wondering what Flame’s deal was but holy heck. It was heartbreakingly disturbing, the details of his childhood. It was a story that needed told, but it was hard to read all at the same time.
This is my favourite to date in the hangmen series and I’ve been anticipating Flame and Maddie’s story since the beginning and this didn’t let me down it was fantastic.
This had such a raw stripped back and emotional feel to it that at times it gutted me with what was revealed regarding Maddie and Flame’s past, Especially Flame his backstory is dark and filled with such desperate despair.
He sees the world differently from others and doesn’t always understand emotions and non-verbal cues he has struggled every day of his life with his differences and I do think that quite Flame is probably on the spectrum.
The horrific abuse he has endured only compounding things and shaping him as the man he has grown into.
He’s quite psychotic, a stone-cold killer believes himself evil and suffers bouts of self-harming and a deep rage at those that have wronged him.
In fact, It’s amazing that Flame can even function at all with all that he has endured over the years and it’s no wonder he behaves so deranged and psycho.
But with Maddie he’s different with her he’s a much gentler version of himself one that just wants to nurture and protect her.
From the time they first met, she is the one person that shuts off all the noise and quietens the flames for him, When she is near Flame can almost function.
They’re both damaged and broken individuals, her from the cult she grew up in and Flame from his traumatic and abusive upbringing.
Flame is Maddie’s saviour and in his presence, she finally feels safe and he is the balm that helps to mend her broken soul and in return, she wants to be the one to help quash his own demons.
Together they embark on a journey that will help set them both free from there pasts.
So this one was dark in terms of all the flashbacks we get from Maddie and Flame, It contains deep triggers especially in regards to childhood abuse.
I felt the story needed to be told this way to totally understand Flame’s mindset especially in regards to his self-harm and psychotic behaviour.
It wasn’t always an easy read but it sure was an emotional one and this did move me to tears at times.
This also further professed the story arc of the cult and I feel that Rider/Cain has finally had his blinkers removed and has had an actual epiphany about the order but it may actually be too little too late.
It will be very interesting to see how he will be redeemed and where this goes next, I mean he’s practically burned all his bridges when it comes to the Hangmen.
This one also needs to be read in order due to the ongoing story arc and also do be aware this series is dark and gritty and doesn’t pull its punches one bit.

We first met Flame and Maddie in the first Hades Hangmen book; it ain’t me, babe.
Flame and Maddie have a small hug in the first book. From that tiny moment I knew I was going to love Maddie and Flame.
Maddie is born into the Order; a cult. In the Order the people viewed her as a curse because of how beautiful she is. She was seen as ‘too tempting’ because of her beauty. When she gets introduced to the real word outside of the cult she still feels broken. Too much has happened to her to just live on a normal life. She doesn’t leave her room very often.
Ever since ending the Order and hugging Maddie Flame had this urge to protect Maddie. Every night he stands outside of her window to protect her.
Flame’s past isn’t a easy one either. Because of what happened in his past he can’t be physically touch by anyone.
Maddie and Flame are both broken souls that need each other. They help each other in a way that no one could of done for them before. Both Maddie and Flame are so precious. They wanna find a way to make it work with each other and the road to that is just so beautiful that it’s almost heartbreaking. It’s a difficult road for them but also for the reader. All you want is seeing Flame and Maddie happy and succeed.
4.5 stars
Oh my Gosh….
I don’t even know where to start with this book. This book was really different from the other 2 books in this series.
This book focuses more on the relationship between Flame and Maddie and them over coming their demons.
Instead of all the other things going on around them like with the cult or the club.
This book was incredibly sad and haunting & heartbreaking and disturbing.
It was pretty intense. And incredibly graphic.
But… somehow it all seems to work together. And keeps you wanted to read more!
To find out what happens. Even though in some parts it’s really hard to read!
But…at the same time too… This books is a love story.
The love story between Maddie and Flame is different.
You could feel the love between Flame and Maddie. They both have been through so much.
In some weird way Flame and Maddie completed each other.
Through all the madness of Flame. Maddie really grounded him.
I was not expecting Flame’s story to go the way it did with his past. Maddie’s I was.
It was just so hard to read!
I must say… I was taken back a little by it. I felt for them. They were just so broken.
What got to me the most in this book was that they were both kids when all these bad things started to happen to them.
And they both can’t seem to shake all the flashbacks they get everyday. It truly was a struggle.
Especially for Flame.
I really felt Maddie step it up to over come her demons. And with doing that… She was able to be the rock that Flame needed to get past his.
There was a lot of twists and turns in this book. And a lot of shocking moments. I really can’t wait until book 4 comes out Deep Redemption. Because there are some loose ends in this book that I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
One thing I would like to tell everyone… You really need to read these books in order. These books are not standalones. There are way to many characters to just jump in and figure out who they are if you skip books.
Trust me… You would really want to start from the beginning!
Now… I have to wait for book 4!!!
*ARC provided for an honest review*
This is one of my favourite couples of all time. I honestly don’t have words. This story was so beatifully tragic. Flame. My poor, sweet Flame. I love that boy so much. I hurt for him. There is NOTHING he wouldn’t do for his Maddie. He is her protector. Her savior. He always watched over her. He took a bullet for her. Until one day he needed her to save him. Two broken souls learned to trust and fell in love. It was beautiful. They are both afraid of touch, but fought so hard to have what they always dreamed of.
This story was painful to read. But it was also filled with so much hope. Their story is what it means when two souls are meant to be. They complete each other. All my love for them!
“I know I’m different. I know I don’t see the world like everyone else does. But I want to see your world, Maddie. Even if it’s the only one I’ll ever understand.”
Maddie and Flame
This is my fave out of the series. I found it so romantic with Maddie and Flame. You find out why Flame is so tortured and how Maddie helps him.
This is the third book in the series and my favourite so far. Possessively tormented Flame and his Maddie. Both have such haunted pasts that torment them both on a daily basis, but both can heal each other. It was great to see more of Ryder. The author has such a way of words and you can see the amount of research into certain subjects has been used to help with the characters development. Highly recommend.
Holy shit this book wrecked me completely! So much of this book wanted to make me scream and cry and I felt very stabby! I felt so awful for both Flame and Maddie! These two have officially became my favorite Hangmen couple. They both went through so much the whole way through their lives and I was so desperate for them to heal each other and so glad they had an Happily Ever After For Now!
I…I don’t know if I have the word to fully explain what this book did to me. Souls Unfractured was amazing. It was a heart-breaking, painful, emotional, roller coaster ride. I read 90% of this book with my tears in my eyes, my heart ripped to shreds, and my stomach in knots. Flame and Maddie had one of the roughest backstories of any characters I’ve ever read. I hurt for them. I went for them. I rejoiced for them as they found their way through the darkness. The plot was fast paced and I am loving the overall plot of this whole series. I can not wait to read more!
I don’t even know what to say, really. It’s like I can’t even breathe. It has been quite some time since a book was able to break me, but I should have known that Flame and Maddie were going to do so.
Flame, the most feared of the Hangmen, the one I have been so drawn to since the beginning, and Maddie, you sweet girl. The youngest of the Cursed Sisters, but by far the strongest. The most brave. These two are perfect for each other, there could never be anyone else for them. Nobody better suited, or more perfectly tailored for the others needs. Her Flame, His Maddie.
I knew Flame’s story would hurt, but I just wasn’t prepared for how much. I wasn’t prepared for the soul crushing, heart wrenching pain that would come from learning about the tattooed and pierced biker. I can’t remember the last time I wanted so desperately to reach into a book and protect someone. But it wasn’t me that Flame needed, it was Maddie.
And Maddie, gosh. She’s so strong, so brave. So fierce! She was able to overcome so much, not because of Flame, but through him. Through their connection, their understanding, and their love. She knew that he needed her in a way that nobody else could fulfill and it was very primal for Maddie, I think. She poured herself into helping Flame, to help him see past the fire. She saved him, just as he had done for her.
I love the Hangmen, all of them. I am so attached to this club, to the brothers and their women. I love Tillie Cole and her writing, for making me feel ALL THE THINGS. I highly recommend this series and cannot wait to continue on with the rest of the Hangmen!
My heart is bursting with so much love right now, it’s kinda crazy. Souls Unfractured was brilliant. I LOVED EVERYTHING about it; including the heavy-duty case of the feels that came along with reading it. The tears, the anger, the unfairness of it all… it was worth going through (as a reader) because the smiles, the love, the blushing moments and the piecing together of two souls to form one was a beautiful thing to witness. Flame and Maddie’s story was epic.
Never have I been such a HUGE cheerleader for a Hero and heroine. Flame and Maddie had to endure so much pain, emotionally and physically, both from such a young age… it made the revenge that much sweeter when it happened. I’m not a violent person but seeing Flame’s demons literally get torn apart… well, that felt so damn good. And the way Flame and Maddie helped put to rest each other’s nightmares was awesomely perfect. OMG, the love and comfort they shared with one another, the gentle touches, their ability to communicate through body language… it was amazing.
Fans of the Hades Hangmen series cannot miss out on this latest installment! Flame and Maddie will steal your heart and never give it back!!
P.S. New Zion, Brother Judah… you’re going down you sickos. Can’t wait to sic the Hangmen on your a**es!
Book Name : Souls Unfractured.
Series: Hades’s Hangmen #3.
Genre : MC – Dark Romance.
Rating : 5 Stars – .
FOR FRACTURED SOULS ARE LIKE MAGNETS.
DRAWN TO COLLIDE INTO AN IMPOSSIBLE BLISS…
Souls Unfractured fractured my heart, soul, mind and body. Into many pieces. Tiny little ones. This story is undoubtedly the most touching one to my heart and the best of all time. Nothing I read could ever compare to this magnetic story of Maddie and his Flame. Oh FLAME!! That ruined, broken and craze of a man. That tortured soul. My heart could not take the amount of pain that this story has infiltrated.
Two fractured souls made whole only by the other’s unconditional love.
Coming from an abusive world, Maddie having faced the horrors by Moses is now under the protection of Hangmen club. She’s under care by the one and only Flame who soon loses all sanity due to a situation which is remedied by Maddie, her devotion – love – care – sympathy – empathy and spellbinding nature. Flame couldn’t let her go. He needs her now like a moth to the flame. I loved their broken dynamic. It was raw to watch them go on and on about their problems, pains, struggles and suspicions. Simply, this was a story that touched me on a heavenly basis. I am super excited for the next installment for Flame – Maddie, My Maddie! <3
Be careful for what you wish. Since book one in this series I have said that I would love to read Flame’s story. His character in the previous books came across as a raving lunatic with a tortured soul. Well, Ms. Cole gave me my wish and the story ripped my heart out, tore it to shreds and left me feeling so sad for Flame and Maddie both. This book tells a deeply emotional love story but it’s more than just love and sex between a man and a woman. In fact, this book had little to do with sex but so much to do with a broken man and woman finding a deep love but also the love of friends who leave no doubt they would carry you through hell to keep you. Flame should have died at an early age with the amount of both mental and physical abuse he received in his short life. Had it not been for his friends, AK and Viking, he would have died. Maddie’s fractured soul is the only one who can calm Flame’s tortured spirit. If you prefer the lite, fluffy romances, please don’t read this one. It left me more sad than happy because what the author brilliantly reveals in this story really does happen out there in the real world. I didn’t like the story but I loved the brilliant way this author wrote the story. She drug me into it and would not let me leave the story. I had to keep reading even if my heart cried because I just had to find out if Flame and Maddie would get some peace, at least, in the end. The story ended in a satisfactory manner for me. I could close the book and put some of my heart back together for these two, but I really, really wanted an epilogue that projected many years into the future showing me Flame/Maddie and a house full of children. Maybe I’ll eventually get that in the upcoming books.
Writing this story had to be walking through hell for this author but it showed a brilliance that few authors can pull off writing about such heart rending issues. Ms. Cole, please give my heart a rest and some time to get over Flame and Maddie. I loved them and I loved the way you brought them both to life
I couldn’t wait to read Flame’s story and I wasn’t disappointed. What Flame has gone through had broke my heart. I loved how Maddie & Flame needed each other. I love how they take their time with each other after there such tortured past’s. I absolutely love this series, I love all the characters and this book was extremely hard to read because of what had and is still happening to the young girls and the New Zion. What happened to Flame and Maddie was horrific and How they found what they needed in each other . I am looking forward to the next book.
What a beautiful, emotional and heartbreaking book this was! Souls Unfractured is about the journey of two people, so completely broken by their horrific pasts that they are resigned to be alone forever—until they meet and an unfathomable connection is made. Ugh! It still hurts just thinking about Flame and Maddie’s story. Tillie brought even more emotions with the third book in this series and for me their story hurt more, but their personal growth and love was more than I could have hoped for. It was everything to learn more about Flame’s past, as well as Maddie’s, and to break and heal right along with them in the story. The underlying storyline with the Hangmen and their enemies is still there and just keeps getting more enthralling as we go along. The suspense is amazing and I am so hooked on this series! 5 gut-wrenching stars for Souls Unfractured!
Wow. This was a hard story to read. I cried and cried and for the broken children and the nightmares that follow them and haunt them day and night. I rejoiced in every hard won battle they conquered and smashed and felt every step backwards. It was truly a journey of healing, even if it’s only enough to embrace the soul mate who rejoices at your side at the end of day. A heartbreaking story that took us places we have not been yet with the Hangmen, and Flame truly has my heart. That scarred ,beautiful warrior of few words. Five soulful stars!
