Beauty, brains, and money. Alexa has it all, and luck is her middle name. She’s the first to defend her family and friends and never needs help in return. Men fall at her feet—except the abrasive police officer Kent, who seems to despise her. But a series of strange events punctures her protective bubble, exposing her to fear and self-doubt. She doesn’t know who she should be more afraid of, her … her unknown pursuer or the sudden protective, softer side of the officer.
Kent has watched the women he loves the most in his life suffer unbearably, unable to save them himself, and now he refuses to get close to anybody. To most people, he’s a heartless, angry cop without a soft interior. Until one stormy day, fate teases him with a warm ray of Alexa’s sunshine, melting a piece of his icy heart. Kent believes he hates her, but when her brightness dims, his hate turns into something else. Something he refuses to let another person take away from him, especially the stranger lurking in the shadows.
*can be read as a standalone.

I’ve read all the books in the Collide series, and each one just gets better and better! In Souls Collide, the author has brought the story to life with well-developed characters who each have their own weaknesses and strengths, who battle on despite the odds, and who work their way into your heart.
We meet characters from the other books again, but this time the story focuses on Kent and Alexa. He’s a surly cop who has had to deal with more tragedy in his life than most, she’s a feisty, strong-willed woman who is determined to reach inside his soul.
The author also touches on the topic of cancer, but she does it in such a sensitive way that makes you appreciate the courage and strength of the families hit by this terrible disease. Abby is a wonderful character, whose optimism and bravery shine out of the pages of the book, and you follow her journey while feeling like you’ve made a new friend.
These books always have a gritty story line, and this one keeps you turning the pages to the end. A great read that I highly recommend.

Souls Collide is the third book in the Collide Series by Kristina Beck. I didn’t realise going into this book that it was the third in the series- having said that though, it can be read as a standalone- but there are characters who appear in this book who have obviously had their own book previously- and they are quite intriguing and likeable also, so I have decided to go back and read the first two books and get up to date with this wonderful cast of characters and their stories. This is also my first read by Ms. Beck, and colour me impressed! I love her witty, fun and flirty writing style- she pulled me into the story right from the first page and easily held my attention the whole way through. I am an insta-fan and will absolutely be stalking her , I mean following her work closely from now on!
Kent Hayes is a prickly, bitter and angry man. He carries his pain like an anvil around his shoulders, and pushes all, except the few closest to him, away. He hasn’t had a relationship in ages- as he wrote women off a long time ago. But his bad attitude and beastly manner are about to get a battering from a perky, bubbly little ray of sunshine who is able to inject some light back into his grey world. He’d really love to hate her, and really does try to do so, but finds that he just can’t fight her charm. He can’t help but be impressed that she doesn’t take his rubbish, instead she gives it right back. He may just have met his match!
Alexa Kramer has a great life- a successful job she loves, close family and good friends. She may be blonde and beautiful, but she’s far more than just a pretty face. She’s the whole package- smart, confident, independent, loyal, and generous- even if she tends to swear like a sailor. But her world is shaken when she literally collides with an incredibly HOT police officer. She’s immediately attracted, but he is so rude she’s left thinking he’s incredibly obnoxious. But still, there is something behind the prickly facade, and she really wants to be the one who gets close enough to figure it out. She also secretly loves the challenge he represents, as he’s the first man who doesn’t immediately fall at her feet. As they begin to cross paths fairly regularly, the frost between them begins to slowly thaw. But soon there are concerning developments when it appears that she has attracted a stalker. Will Kent’s protective nature kick in and keep her safe?
The story is a fantastic read- it’s sweet, sassy, suspenseful, humorous, dramatic, touching, romantic, emotive, fun, and unpredictable. It is really well written, with wonderful attention to detail and descriptive scene setting. Ms. Beck built the tension and suspense really well, and had my mind reeling with possible scenarios, trying to predict where the storyline was headed.
I can’t wait to go back and read the first two books now- and I look forward to seeing what Ms. Beck does next.
Thank you, Ms. Beck!

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I thought it was really good! This is the third book in the series and has characters that have been in previous books but it can be read as a stand-alone just fine. I LOVED this authors writing style. I was pulled in from page one and I couldn’t get enough of the main characters and meeting each of them. Kent and Alexa are great MCs and I loves reading their story. I am looking forward to reading more by this author and I think you should absolutely go and read this book!!
Happy Reading!
Review by Anastasia Dodson
Loved it.
This book had it all. I look forward to more in this series and more from this author.
Absolutely loved this book! The entire series is great!
The true meaning of soul mates!
The series’ wittiness continues with Alexa’s bright and bubbly personality, absorbing Kent’s negative energy. Kristina, again writes about difficult, heart wrenching issues with love and compassion. I cried and felt my heart was breaking reading some of Abby’s scenes. The undercurrent of suspense that flows throughout kept me turning the pages, inquisitive as to what was going on……is it to do with the black cat? I loved the twists and couldn’t decide who had done what, as so many could have been guilty! I highly recommend this whole series.
Souls Collide by Kristina Beck
Stars: 5
This is book three in the collide series. This story can be read as a standalone. We do meet the other characters from the previous books. This book is Alexa’s and Kent’s story. Alexa and Kent fall in love at first sight, but it is a battle to accept one’s feelings at times. Alexa is sweet and sassy with a huge heart. Kent is protective, loving, and funny even though it takes him to find himself. I love these characters interactions with each other. I also loved Abby and Vince. These are great characters, and I hope they get their own happily ever after! Kristina Beck created great characters and wonderful over all story!

Souls Collide by Kristina Beck is the third installment of The Souls Collide Series. It is a romantic suspense about Alexa and Kent, that will keep you on the edge of your seat. When I saw that this book is a romantic suspense, I didn’t expect some comedy. There are some really funny parts, as I was not able to put my Kindle down until I was done, I read this ebook in one sitting in just a few hours. Alexa is a ray of sunshine, independent, smart and beautiful to boot. Men are constantly dropping at her every step but unfortunately she has had no luck finding the right guy. The nicknames she makes for her past dates are hilarious i.e. Joker the Poker. Kent is a hot cop who has had to deal with grief and a sick sister, which has made him quite an angry and bitter person. When these two souls collide at a nearby hospital, their worlds will change forever. Will Alexa be able to break down Kent’s walls? While these two are getting to know each other better, Alexa is in danger and has stalker making her life a living hell. All the supportive characters in this book are great and will have you suspecting who the mystery stalker is. Kristina Beck wrote a seamless storyline that was difficult to put down, I truly enjoyed reading this book. This is the first book in the Collide Series that I have read and will be going back to the first two books and read them.

5-stars
This novel was amazing. I loved how Alexa and Kent went from one extreme to the other. Hate to love. All the craziness that happened in between was scary and had me at the edge of my seat. I also loved Abby. She was strong and courageous while battling breast cancer. I could not believe who the real antagonist was at the end. I was surprised. Such a great book!
Although I figured it out before it ended, I enjoyed this book
This is the first book I have read from this author and she blew me away. I love a good romance with suspense but she exceeded all my expectations. A few times this story gave me chill up my spine. This is the third book from the Collide series. They don’t need to read in order but prior characters will be in this book. I read this book first and I didn’t have any trouble following the story. I now will be starting from the beginning to meet the other characters. I could not put this book down. I fell in love with these characters right from the beginning. It only took me a few hours to devour this amazing story.
Alexa is a beautiful and smart young woman that has it all. She has men at her feet at all times. Alexa love her family and friends. She runs into a very handsome cop that doesn’t give her the time of day. Alexa is determined to find out why this man hates her. She has friends in common with him and she just wants to find a middle ground. Alexa then starts getting some crazy phone calls that starts to spook her out. She is shocked when Kent steps up to protect her. They quickly realize that their souls belong together. Will Alexa and Kent find their happily ever after or is someone waiting to destroy them both?
I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, mystery, and suspense. You can’t help but to fall in love with all of these characters. Alexa is a beautiful woman that has a good head on her shoulder. She sometimes takes things for granted which can get her into trouble. Kent has had a hard life. He lost his mom when he was younger and now he needs to protect his sister. Kent has walls up due to his past so he doesn’t get hurt again. This author brings up some delicate subjects but it is in a beautiful manner. I’m now going to start this series from the beginning. I will be reading this talented author from now on.
Souls Collide is the 3rd book in the Collide series by Kristina Beck. Each book can be read as a stand-alone. I hadn’t read either of the first two books in this series but after reading Souls Collide, I’ll definitely be looking to read the others as this was a definite 5 star read.
Souls Collide is an opposites attract story. Alexa and Kent are about as opposite as you can get but this is not just your typical run of the mill opposites attract story. This book is filled with suspense that will keep you gripped to the very end. There are also many twists and turns in the story. Just as you think you’ve sussed out what Kristina Beck had in mind for these great characters, the story will turn and leave you open mouthed, wondering what the hell just happened.
Police officer Kent Hayes has watched his mother die from cancer and is now going through the horror again as his beloved sister Abby is now fighting this brutal illness. One thing Kent hates is the pharmaceutical industry so when he meets the beautiful Alexa, who happens to be a very successful pharmaceutical rep, he really wants to hate her. Shame his traitorous body didn’t get the memo. While Kent is moody and not the most fun person to be around, Alexa is a complete ray of sunshine and totally lights up every room she walks into. When Alexa is threatened by a stalker, Kent realises that he will do absolutely anything to keep her from harm.
This is a fantastic read and the characters are so well written that you can’t help but fall in love with them. I will definitely be seeking out the first 2 books in this series.
Souls Collide is the third book in Kristina Beck’s The Collide Series. It is a stand-alone book, that tells the story of two characters who are thrown together by a series of events and learn more about each other, and themselves, along the way.
The characters were fairly interesting. Alexa is an intelligent and bubbly pharmaceutical salesperson, plagued by a series of unfortunate dates (for whom she has nicknames). Kent is a police officer who is struggling through the darkness of grief and the fear of losing his sister. They are introduced as a contrast, but throughout the story more is revealed and developed in their characters.
It opens as a standard romance – characters (and the chemistry between them!) are introduced and the reader thinks they know where it’s going. But as the story progresses, the plot is complicated with twists, suspense and surprises which makes it much more exciting to read!
Beck’s attention to detail is evident throughout the book, but particularly striking in the way she includes cancer in the story. With a variety of perspectives and a sensitive approach, this is particularly well done.
For me this is a four-star read. I’d recommend it if you want an emotional romance with plenty of friction and suspense. I haven’t read any of the other books in the series, but I’ll definitely keep them in mind for later!
Souls Collide is the final book in the Collide series. I’ve been waiting for Alexa’s story and it did not disappoint! Alexa is intelligent, funny and not afraid to put you in your place! When her and “Superman” meet I was literally laughing out loud! I think this might have been my favorite story in the series. The characters are wonderful and I love how they are all so connected. This is series that you definitely need to read!

Souls Collide : Collide Series Book 3 By Kristina Beck is a wonderfully written book that once I started reading I had a hard time putting it down. Alexa is a smart beautiful caring and compassionate woman who doesn’t shy away from speaking what she’s thinking. Kent is a police officer who sometimes comes off as unsympathetic and has a poor attitude. Then comes in Alexa ,when these two meet at first there are definitely conflicting sparks between them but then something starts to change and he becomes protective over her especially when a stranger starts lurking around her.Can these two have a future together? Will they work through there different views and have a relationship? Find out what happens next with these two. I highly recommend reading this Book. I look forward to reading more from this Author.
Souls Collide: Collide Series Book 3 By Kristina Beck. This story was exactly what I was looking for in a great new read. This is book 3 but can be read as a standalone but I’ll definitely be going back and reading the others after this fantastic story. This author is new to me and I’m definitely impressed with the writing style and characters created. From page one I was completely hooked and couldn’t put it down until the last page. It’s got just the right mix of of suspense and romance making for a very intriguing story. I can’t wait to read more from this author! I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to everyone.
Souls Collide is the third book in Kristina Beck’s Collide series. The whole series is a standalone so you are welcome to start with this one, you will not miss out on anything. Of course if you have read the first two books already then you will enjoy meeting the characters from them here as the writer brings them all together. It is the first book I have read by this writer and I know, it will not be the last one!
Souls Collide is a beautiful story of two souls meeting – Alexa and Kent. They are as opposite as two people can be – Alexa is the friendly and charmed and positive gal that seems to have it all … Kent on the other hand has seen too much of the darker side of the life as he is a police officer. He has also experienced soul deep loss and that is marked him … marked him in a way that you think he might never get over it.
I admire how the writer handles the horrible illness that took Kent’s mother and now has also taken hold of his sister Abby. She gives us Abby who is the embodiment of a resilient human spirit on a journey filled with grace and beauty and courage … She brings us optimism and hope and you will find yourself feeling different towards the ones fighting the disease and the ones who have survived …
Souls Collide pulls you in and doesn’t let you go – the deep connection between Alexa and Kent while fighting the challenges together … it shows us that even when the life tries to take us down, it can also bring us together when we open ourselves up to love and commit to it.
A great read about opposites. When a black cat crosses her path, Alexa runs into a series of bad luck, including bumping straight into Kent at a hospital. Kent is bitter with the world after tradegy, but Alexa seems to be a ray of sunshine. Will he let her in or push her away in fear?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Alexa standing up for herself but kind underneath or Kent harsh exterior but kind and sweet or Abbys positive outlook on life being too short to be miserable A great cast of supporting characters like Vince as a good friend or Dali as bubbly and loud.
I loved the use of visual detail throughout the novel like with the cafe shop full of life and people. Or the colourful nature of Alexa and her kitchen with bright red and soft whites combining together. Or the vivid colours of the headscarves and pillows in bright bold colours against a dark world as a sense of comfort and happiness to Abby and beautifully written. And loved the sweet look on cancer as something with its ups and downs. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.
Souls Collide by Kristina Beck a four-star read that will strike you. This is the third novel in the Collide series and they can be read as stand alone as I started this one and was a few chapters in before I realised it was a series, I think each one focuses on a different set of characters and Alexa and Kent are sublime characters, I will eventually go back to read the first two and I have added them to my TBR pile as I like the style of writing, the way the story unfolded was natural and honest, it wasn’t rushed, if I had maybe read the series in order I would have given five stars and when I go back and re-read I will have to adjust. Kent was great, he was one thing at first but the more you read the more you know and understand him and the better and know what a true hero he was.
It is always a pleasure to fall in love with a new author’s work, especially one with the skills of Kristinia Beck. I was swallowed whole with this novel and I loved every moment of it. Souls Collide is the third book in the Collide Series, but I had no issues reading this as a standalone. I just now get the pleasure of going back and reading the other two books in the series. Especially since this is the final book in the series as well.
Alexa Kramer is living her life to the fullest. She has it all; the job, the best friends, a loving and supportive family, and she has the beauty and brains to boot. Kent Hayes, not so much. He lives his life day to day doing what is necessary and hiding his emotional pain. It is because of this that he is mean and off putting. Both of their worlds are about to change when they literally ‘collide’ with one another.
I could not get enough of this story. The emotions I felt were all over the place. One moment I could be on the verge of tears and the next I could be giggling. Beck really has a talent for balancing the emotions so that it doesn’t get to be too overwhelming. There is some topics of disease that gets brought in and this is dealt with in such a way. I thought it was a perfect handle of the situation. It made it that raw emotion without getting to be too much. The only negative I could come up for this book would be that it ended. So now I am off to grab the other two in the series. Thank you for the fantastic read Ms. Beck.
