What starts off as convenient turns into so much more. The characters are well developed and engaging and plenty of chemistry to carry the storyline that flows smoothly.

Is this for real? Alessia can’t believe this happened. The chef she is working under gives her an order that will be the ruin of her cooking reputation. To top that off, the jerk propositions her telling her that is the only way to keep her job, and he does it while holding a weapon on her. A very unique ad on Craig’s list draws Alessia’s attention. Living on a ranch far away from where she is, while rebuilding her cooking reputation is just what she needs.
You have got to be kidding! Cole never thought his father would do this to him. The Will clearly proves that dear old dad had a sense of punishing humor to him, based off of the stipulations that was put in it. What possessed dad to do this is still a mystery. Cole can’t run this ranch by himself, which means he needs to hire someone to help him, once the stipulations that dad set he can claim what is his and get back to his life. He puts an ad on Craig’s list hoping for the best.
Alessia answers the ad, Cole answers her call. To say the conversation was odd would be an understatement, but she is offered the job. When she arrives on the ranch things go from odd to even more strange. There is an introduction that they will never forget, and a connection sizzling between them right away. A quick tour, and right down to business, the terms of this arrangement. They are to be “married” for 6 months, living together on the ranch. Oh, and by the way, they must sleep in the same room/bed which is going to be proven by an ankle bracelet tracker. It starts right away when a surprise wedding gift arrives, the darkness surrounding these two starts to show. Secretly both think they know who was behind this. Getting to know one another happens very quickly, at least in the physical sense. Bantering ensues about this being an arrangement and no feelings.
Then it happens, a call to Alessia telling her that what she went through is about to meet with more dire consequences. She opens up and tells Cole about it. Follow that with a few missed texts and a surprise visitor to the ranch for Cole causes him to open up to Alessia. It seems so easy for him to tell her that he is a one man mercenary basically that has angered a few bad guys, and this all started after his brother’s death, they guilt of that is his catalyst.
There is a LOT that happens, a lot of dark events and many ugly people enter the picture, they have ties to both Alessia and Cole. They are still too busy using the excuse of their arrangement and the money as the reason they are helping each other, all while ignoring the true reason. As the crazy events happening start drawing conclusions and drawing these two closer together, true feelings are revealed. With all things said, done and over these two decide to make their fake arrangement the real deal!
This book has a good plot and the only reason a couldn’t give it a full 5 stars was because I found Alessia very annoying and immature. But she dose seem to mature until the end when something happens and she flips out and runs away which puts her in danger.
Cole on the other hand seemed more likable at times but he had his moments were I was just like what did he just do but he dose realize his feelings first. There both completely into each other but neither one wants to fall for the other.
Alessia is a chef who works for possible the worst boss ever he smells he is verbally and fiscally abusive and he cant keep his hands to himself so glad in the end he got what was coming to him. Alessia needs a job after seeing and ad that ask for help on a ranch she packs up and leaves without knowing anything about the job.
Cole lost his job at the rehab center he worked at. hes home dealing with the mess his father put in the will get married stop messing around for six months. While his brother Adam goes to the city and lives a little. Cole convince Alessia to be his fake wife there’s not supposed to be any feelings involved but that doesn’t last for long soon they can’t keep there hands off each other but there both afraid of commitment.
They spend allot of time running from each other while Cole plays the hero and soon there both in a mess and in danger. But there is a happy ending. So this book is good but it needs something maybe less angst more maturity in both character’s I wish Cole had finished his military service and I wish Alessia had not jumped to so many wrong conclusions about Cole’s frends from the clinic. That being said its still a good read it just needs some tweaking here and there then it would definitely be a 5 star read.

So this is my first book by this author and I have to say that I am intrigued to read more. Overall I enjoyed the story, the twists and the characters! Some of the “silly” parts between Ali and Cole were a bit over the top but I thought the characters called for it. I felt this book was more of an instalove story, which is fine, but one minute they were talking about how they would never get feelings and bam they totally did. Add in the danger towards the end and this is definitely a book I recommend.
Both Cole and Alessia have some soul searching to do and while Cole is forced back to his family ranch, Alessia actually chooses that lifestyle, at least for 6 months. They are forced together in order to get the money they both need but then everything starts changing. They’re both attracted to each other and as much as they don’t want to give in, it’s inevitable. Then there’s drugs, drama, and so much suspense you don’t have a choice but to finish reading. Very entertaining.

He’s a cowboy and she just lost her job as a chef. When Alessia goes up against her boss, she knew there may be fireworks but she never expected that he would weld a knife at her or make a sexual advance towards her. Quitting her job was the right thing to do. Cole’s father knew how to play pranks and his final one is a big one. He needs a wife and Alessia needs a new job. Their agreement works for both of them but someone has other ideas. Will these two make it through their six months of marriage without losing their hearts and more important, their lives? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
This is my first book by Everly Chase and most definitely not my last. This fast-paced fake marriage romance story is packed with secrets, murder, the cartel, danger, suspense, sizzlin’ chemistery, some humor, passion, twists, and plenty of heat.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
ONE FABULOUS TREAT!!!
Incredible! Everly knocks this bad boy out da park with all the finesse and vigor to rival a gold medalist. A bevy of spinning emotions running rampant, exposing all the distress and turmoil blazing this bad boy together piece by piece. All the angst, suspense and speculation along with all that drama, tension and intrigue go hand-in-hand to blow this bad boy wide open. Throw in a little danger and suspense and you have one block busting delight. Twixt and twined and put through the wringer brings this piece of perfection bursting to life flawlessly. Everly really nailed this bad boy and kept me on a razors edge from start to finish. Twists and turns abound along with a few bumps and bruises make for one exceptional experience. The characters chemistry sizzles from the pages and suck you in so deeply until you feel the heat and electricity thrumming through your veins. The characters are authentic, relatable and so realistic with depth and individuality you feel apart of the story instead of on the sidelines. The scenes are so vividly detailed it gives the illusion you were right there with them. Remarkable job Everly, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
This author is new to me, and I enjoyed this first read. There were mysteries & twists, and fake romances that turned into real ones. Had a little bit of everything. Look forward to more
A Big Hot Texas Romance.
The main characters, Rancher Cole and Chief Alessia sure now how to set the pages afire. Alessia agrees to spend six months with Cole at his ranch, who by the way she has not met but only spoke to on the phone. Cole has an unusual reason he put an ad in Craig’s List. In order for him and his brother to receive a share of the inheritance from their father’s will, they must exchange places. His brother must move to Austin for six months and Cole must come live /work the family ranch and marry for six months. Evidently to him it wouldn’t have mattered if it was a man or woman who answered the ad as there wouldn’t have been any sex involved. Just a business deal. Weird.
The core of the story is their physical attraction followed by how quickly they begin to like each other. They turn out having the same caring nature, need to use one “F” word like sailors and drop their paints all over the place.
They work together to solve a crime and in the end to run the ranch for a cause. There is an Epilogue but it looks like you have to download it. Im not a fan of those as they should be with the book.
Recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. Peace.

Alessia is working in a French restaurant and is in charge of cooking chicken, her boss tells her to dish out the chicken seven minutes too soon. Her boss threatened her with a knife and then assaults her. She runs home after quitting her job and her boss tells her he will ruin her.
Alessia turns to the internet to find a new life and answers a job advertisement for six months on a ranch with room and board.
Cole has advertised for a pretend wife, although he didn’t mention this in his ad. His father has stipulated in his will. That Cole has to be married and live on the ranch for six months. These two can’t seem to keep their hands to each other.
Cows are killed, people are missing and Cole and Alessia find themselves locked in a freezer. This is just some of the action that goes on in this story. I couldn’t put it down because I just had to find out what happened next. I loved how the characters developed and the story flowed well.

Alessia has just made a major breakthrough. After a run in with her demanding boss, she’s found herself at a crossroads. Her dream has always been to be a chef. Maybe some time away would bring her clarity. Maybe clarity is a ranch, fully equipped with a sexy, tattooed Cole Striker. Holy hotness! Well, Alessia has an opinion regarding love, basically it’s not worth her trouble or her time.
Cole is a good man. A man just living his life, helping people along the way. After the passing of his father, he’s found himself back on his childhood ranch. According to his father’s will, he needs to get back to his roots and work the farm in order to get his inheritance. Cole has big plans for that money. He could help a lot of people, that’s why he’s hired Alessia.
Alessia thinks this would be a great opportunity to learn more about the food industry. But she doesn’t know the half of it; the real reason Cole is looking for help. And when she does, if Alessia doesn’t run for the hills screaming, Cole just might be able to pull this off.
FUNNY, FLIRTY WITH A SIDE OF SUSPENSE ! SIZZLING CHEMISTRY MIXED WITH WILD, RAW PASSION ! ! ! THIS WAS MY FIRST READ BY EVERLY CHASE, BUT DEFINITELY NOT MY LAST ! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED COLE & ALESSIA’S STORY ! ! ! A MUST READ ! ! !
