Book 1: (Smokey) When they took the only things I cared about, I vowed to seek revenge. When I took Bray, I thought that would be the end of what I was feeling. I was wrong. When it’s time to send her back, broken, I find myself torn. What’s right? What’s wrong?Book 2:(Draven) I knew there was a rat in our club. The obvious choice was the new girl. So I do what I do. I made it hard for her to … her to live in my presence. I forced her until she broke. When her past comes out, I find myself on edge. She wasn’t what I expected but she is what I want. Even though I have to let her go.
Book 3:(Ruger) They all know I’m sick in the head. Or maybe this is just me. When my sister is taken, I will do anything and I do mean anything to get her back. My Prez thinks he’s helping when he tosses a woman into the mix. So what she lived a past that resmebles my sister’s future? She’s never dealt with a man like me. Not that it matters. She tests my patience but when she falls into the hands of the enemy? I will whatever I have to make sure I save them both.
Book 4:(Crow) I was lost in a world that I never wanted to be in. I was tired and at the end of my rope. When I met Lyric, we were both at our lowest. She gave me the love I needed and I gave her the love she deserved. We found comfort in each other but that isn’t enough. I know where I belong and it isn’t on this earth. Now I just have to make the choice. Stay with her? Or go on my way?

So here’s the breakdown of what I thought for each book:
Smokey – at first glance, this VP was a mean, twisted son of a something. After having his family taken from him, he was determined to exact his own brand of revenge. Step one: kidnap the woman. Step two: break her. Step three: throw her back. You know what they say about the best laid plans, right? The more he tortured her, the deeper he was getting, the more she enjoyed it, and then finally feelings… those blasted emotions… started getting involved. Utter chaos ensues and he does get a chance at a life with Bray and it was an entertaining ride. I loved that Smokey was just as twisted in the end as he was in the beginning.
Draven – he was just as twisted as his brother, Smokey. He liked getting his hands dirty and had a suspicious nature that saved the club more times than he could count. They’ve found that a rat has infiltrated the ranks and Draven believes it may have a lot to do with the new girl, Lia. She’s feisty and stubborn, traits that Draven can’t get enough of, and he decides that he’s going to get answers from her, whether she’s willing to give them up or not. The rat was obvious but I didn’t expect the depth I found with these characters.
Ruger – I think he was the dirtiest of the bunch. He was outrageous and had no shame. If a man didn’t give him answers willingly, he would take the fight right out of them with a bit of ‘fun’. I was honestly surprised by what he did despite reading hints in the previous books, but it only made him more callous in my mind. This man just didn’t care! Anyhoo, his sister has been taken by a slave ring and he’s desperate to get her back. His Prez brings in a girl who lived through the horrors his sister is facing and she wants to help, whether he wants her help or not. Kira was fragile and broken but she had a grit to her that wouldn’t allow her to give up. She wanted to take down the bad guys and she wasn’t going to let a bit of damage hold her back. It was easy to admire her for that and Ruger couldn’t deny his attraction. Their story was the nastiest and made for such amusing entertainment.
Crow – his story happened to be my favorite, although it was the saddest. Crow was haunted by his past and the blame he placed on himself for events he had no control over. He lived with a huge loss and the certainty that he would kill himself one day to be at peace. One day, when he was at his lowest, gun nearby and a steady hand, he found a girl whose pain mirrored his own. They shared a connection and Lyric became the bright spot in what Crow viewed as a bleak life. He fell in love with her (and she him) and he did everything he could to heal her, to piece together her broken pieces, to make her see how beautiful she was. This was a heartbreaking read and I found myself enjoying the downward spiral.
I’m always up for a raw and gritty MC romance and Erin Trejo delivered! These heroes were ruthless, cunning, and dark. These plots were unique from each other but shared a common thread – family. And these stories satisfied the twisted cravings I was having.
bk 1 smokey
4 stars
This isn’t a love story this is revenge. Forced, non-con, it’s torture and not for the faint hearted. if this sort of book upsets you, please think again before you read it. But enjoyed it.
Smokey has been plotted to repay the bastards that kill his family, so he takes their prize, the prez daughter.
With other chapters clashing and braylynn caught in the middle, Emily’s demons come out to play. An interesting twist on a kidnapping to hea story.
bk 2 draven
5 stars
From the outset Draven was dark, I thought smokey had a wicked side, but I think Draven is a league up, if that’s possible.
Lia and Draven have almost hate romance as he wants info from her, but the man underneath the beast craves her.
As for Lia well her dark secrets will destroy everything between them that she would rather due than tell them.
It’s a dark read which I truly enjoyed, I can’t wait to read more from the soulless bastards so cal chapter.
bk 3 ruger
5 stars
Damn, ruger is the man!
You think Smokey was dark until you met Draven.
Those boys have nothing on this one.
Searching for his sister, Ruger ends up getting more than he bargained for in Kira.
They are toxic to themselves and each other, but they work, crazy as it is, you want to root for them.
I totally loved thi book and can’t wait for more fof this dark and twisted MC.
bk 4 crow
5 stars
I knew when I first started to read this book it was going to be totally different from the others in a sense that crow didn’t have that hardened crust to him like Smokey, draven or ruger. Lyric was amazing, she was brought in to her own with crow guiding her along the way. Removing her self doubt and building her up to be a stronger person. But this book although it prepares you in a way for the end result it still shreds you heart into tiny pieces when it happens. Amazingly written touching many hard subjects which will break you side open but unable to stop reading. Totally loved this book even though it touched me a little close to home on many issues to covered.
Having to read the boxset of this amazing series is unbelievable. It took me a while to finished it but darn it I flipping enjoyed it. In this series, you’ll be mad, you’ll cry, you’ll be sad but you will say “Damn, this author killed me but I want more” that’s how I feel about this author’s writing style.
Get ready for an emotional roller coaster full of ALL the feels because this box-set has it ALL!!
Erin Trejo never fails. She always makes me want to jump through my phone and smack a jerk!!
Smokey
What do you do when everything you love is ripped away from you?? The only thing you can, seek revenge and take the one thing away from the person that took your all and Smokey thought that’s what he was doing. What he didn’t expect was Braylynn to start healing him and pulling him from the dark that he has been living in for almost the last year.
Draven
Draven hasn’t had an easy life. His father was abusive and his mother was an addict, leaving him to lookout for his baby brother. When he patched in to the Soulless Bastards MC he finally found a purpose in life. That is until a feisty young woman walks into the clubhouse and ignites something deep within him.
Lia lost most of her family years ago and has been on the run since only to find herself in even more trouble with the SBMC. Now she has nowhere to run, no one she can truly trust until Draven sets his eyes on her.
There is a rat within the SBMC that is trying to take the club down while getting what they think they are owed but of course the guys won’t let that happen. While trying to catch a rat, lines will be crossed, hearts will be broken and there are a LOT of angry men!!
Ruger
Erin Trejo is a master at keeping me on the edge of my seat, hooked to a story from beginning to end, falling hard for the main characters and having my emotions all over the place and I love every single second of it!!
Ruger is not someone anyone should mess with, ever. When his sister goes missing he will stop at nothing to find her but when his Prez, Hawk, brings in a girl from NY that has inside information that could help him he isn’t sure how involved he wants her to be. Lines will be crossed, things said and done and a whole lotta blood will be shed but will it all be worth it??
My favorite line:
“It’s your fault. You shouldn’t have a jaw of steel”
Crow
Crow isn’t like the rest of the guys in the Soulless Bastards MC. In fact he is completely opposite them. Yeah he has a dark, twisted side but things from his past have made him this way. When he meets Lyric things finally start to click into place for him but he can’t shake certain things. He has a plan, will Lyric be able to change it or will he continue on the path he wants??
This is not like any of the previous books in this series. Erin Trejo has a way of making us feel every emotion. This story is an emotional roller coaster and I absolutely LOVED it!!
Soulless Bastards MC So Cal Chapter Box set is written by the talented author Erin Trejo. I’m truly becoming a big fan of her very fast. Each book in this amazing collection is filled with lots of action, loyalty, brotherhood, danger, strong women and sexy filthy bikers. I don’t want to give spoilers but I can tell you that every story is HOT, DARK AND SEXY!!! I enjoyed the plots and the awesome characters. Loved reading and meeting Smokey and Braylynn, Draven and Lia, Ruger and Kira, Crow and Lyric. Each couple has their story but my favorite is Crow and Lyric!!!! Outstanding job Erin Trejo!!!!!!
Smokey
What I love about this book is that though characters are so broken and raw, they both can’t stop the pull to each other. Sure their beginning is well, unconventional- to say the least. And their journey is filled with pain, heartbreak, betrayal, anger and fear but, somehow these two manage to become more than their pasts and they may just have a chance at a future.
Draven
Draven smells a rat. A rat around his family won’t live long when he finds them.
Lia has secrets, too many secrets. Could she be the rat? Draven knows something is off about her, but can’t put his finger on it. As things start to heat up, skeletons fall
out of cupboards and betrayal is closer to home than Draven thinks. When the dust finally settles who will be left standing?
Ruger
I freakin love Ruger !!
He makes no apologies for the way he is- like it or not he doesn’t care, in fact he doesn’t even think about you lol.
One thing Ruger is though, and that is protective. When someone close to him goes missing he will stop at nothing to get them back. No one is safe until he has them where they belong, with him. Buckle up and strap on your helmet you are gonna need it!
Crow
This book absolutely destroyed me. Crow’s story is one filled with such pain you will not be able to keep your emotions in check. This book should come with a warning- Keep the tissues close.
A Queen Among MC Authors
This is definitely a series you don’t want to miss if love dark, sexy, dirty bikers. Every book in this series is a 5 star book for me.
Smokey:
This is not your typical biker romance. It’s hard core and raw. This book is about Smokey, the VP of the So Cal Soulless Bastards. He’s only got one thing on his mind… REVENGE! It’s full of torture and pain that will have you on an emotional roller coaster. The dark drama and suspense will have you sitting at the edge of your seat. Braylynn, daughter of the rival club’s president, is being forced to pay for sins of her father and his club. Will Smokey get his revenge? Will Braylynn survive the darkness that surrounds her life?
Draven:
Erin Trejo keeps the momentum going with Draven: Soulless Bastards MC So Cal. Draven is a hard core heartless biker. Lia is shy and puts off a vibe that Draven can feel but can’t explain. This book is full of deception, danger and some hot steamy sex. We continue to learn about all the other Soulless Bastards on this wild ride in So Cal.
Ruger:
This book was more twisted and deranged than I anticipated. It is raw, primal, dark…….. I absolutely loved it!!!
“My body is loose and ready. I twirl the blade in between my fingers, my need for blood swelling inside of me.”
Ruger is definitely not in his right mind. He is disturbing in a dark and meticulous way.
“The one about the man in his right mind, I’ve not been in my right mind for a long time, baby.”
Ruger can handle death, killing and hurting people but feelings, not so much. Kira was the perfect match for Ruger. She is a very strong heroine that doesn’t hold back and challenges him in every way.
“There’s a lot of thing I don’t have the right to do but I do them anyway”
Crow
Erin I need for you to take a step back and take a bow as I give you a standing ovation!!! That was one of the best book you have written to date!! The raw emotions left me feeling powerless. The turmoil caused my heart to ache.
“Four minutes. Four painstaking minutes of my life. It sounds like nothing. To some, it may be, but for me four minutes was all it took to ruin my life. That’s all it took to steal the breath from my body.”
I literally took in each and every detail written.
“Maybe he’s right. Maybe I have more in me, but if that’s true, I’m not sure how. I’ve given about all I have to give. I’m still me though. I’m still Crow, the mother-f**king Soulless Bastard.”
Simply put, this was a brilliantly written and powerful book!!
This series is full of action, darkness and so much hotness. I just loved all of the characters. But Crow’s book had my emotions all over the place. My heart broke with the pain he went threw. The love he had for Lyric was so special. Loved seeing her dreams coming true. I can’t wait to read more.
