Nothing is ever as it seems. In a world where lies and deceit rule, my carefully hidden secrets weren’t an exception. The privileged hide behind masks that only elitism and power can provide.Yet, I’m still learning just how vile and ruthless you need to become to play their twisted game.In my naiveté, I thought my heart would always be safe in their hands. But I was wrong. So very wrong. And now I … in their hands.
But I was wrong.
So very wrong.
And now I have to live with the tangled mess my actions have created.
There are no winners in the war of treachery and hate.
But if you’re soulless enough, you might just survive.

Deepening Dilemmas
Holland, feeling empty, devoid of life. Ash, self destruction. Ollie, emotionally torn. Elle, protective of all. Roman, protective, ravaged by memories of their past, keeper of secrets, and soulless but, selfless.
Most of the focus of this book is Holland and Roman kindling a romance in between them two. But, how the twins and her created a lot of misconceptions during specific circumstances. This caused their relationships to crumble which gave Roman his chance to get to know and ultimately fall in love with her.
The beginnings of a reverse harem are definitely in the mix with Holland feeling like she is split three ways and trying to figure out her own dilemma. The dilemma deepens When they’re worst fears comes to light.
Really can’t wait for Chad, Elle, and Saints storyline! Snippets are scattered throughout like a trail of crumbs, yum!
Ivy Fox has done it again. My heart oh my heart. The vile creatures mixed with the broken but strong and held together by love characters just get you in the feels deep down in your soul. I literally wanted to scream, cry and break along with Snow and her boys. And like the Queen of Cliffhangers, we are left with out jaws on the floor with questions galore and a need for more! Thankfully the next book is out and I can dive in because I think waiting would kill me!!! Amazing story with just a poetic and deep vibe!
This was a gut-wrenching, emotional roller coaster of a story. So many feelings and a few tears. Loved it.
Snow’s life has already been a hard road. An uncaring sociopath of a mother, a disgraced but loving dead father. Living in a new city away from her grandmother and surrounded by hostility. Once her boyfriends, now her step-brothers. The Grayson twins broke her but with the help of her new step sister Elle, she manages to keep her head above water. Asher and Oliver are lost to her when her world is shattered in one night. Enter Rome Grayson, he’s wrong about her, he made mistakes and now he’s the one that has to save her.
Omg, Rome Grayson! He eclipses Asher and Oliver. Rome and Snow are everything. So beautiful together and everything Snow needs to survive the latest betrayal. This story just keeps on getting better!
Well damn… all those twists and turns I can honestly say that Rome is my actual favorite of all the Graysons. Who wouldn’t want someone like Rome on their side, Dangerous, sweet, alpha He’s the missing puzzle to Holland’s heart and the way he helped her gain the strength she didn’t even know she still had inside or her
“No one can rob you of your power. Only you can give it away.”
My little wish that ached to be fulfilled while reading Heartless, was granted in Soulless.
And was a wonderful story it was. Absolutely brilliant! I’m hooked!
Rome, Rome, Rome… *dreamy sigh*
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
Did you hear that sound? You know, the sound of someone crashing down or falling? Because that was the sound when Rome fell and was conquered by our heroine, Holland. Man, did he fell. But you know what they say, the mightier they are, when they fall, it will be hard and fast.
Gawd! I can’t express enough how I was soo in love with this cold, distant and sometimes rude guy. But I just know right from the start that he hides a broken heart that he’s protecting from those who will use him. I was sitting here with hearts in my eyes as I see how he slowly unravels and showed to us his vulnerable side. I was a GONER! There is no turning back for me. Rome held my attention and heart in the palm of his hands. I don’t know about Ollie and Ash though, but again, I know that the author will find a way to redeem them to my eyes and Snow. I can’t wait for the next book to see how it will go down between them and of course, that heart stopping ending! Gah! I need Faithless right now!
Soulless is the second book in the the Privilege of Pembroke high series. You need to read Heartless to follow what happens in Soulless.
After the cliffhanger that Ivy Fox left us with in Heartless, I was DYING for Soulless.
Rome really intrigued me in the first book so I was really happy to get lots of his POV in Soulless. And boy did he kill me. We got a glimpse into Rome and why he behaved like he did. He’s always had to be grown up, being the parent for his siblings after his Mum died and his dad didn’t step up and be the father they all needed. All Rome wants is to be loved and to have someone to lean on, as he is always the person other people lean on. I’m so happy that he found this is Snow.
Holland, or ‘Snow’ has had a hard life and in Heartless you saw how she escaped using her relationship with brothers Ash and Ollie. Ash and Ollie stole my heart but in this book, they were struggling. My heart went out to them.
Ivy Fox had my heart soaring, my eyes welling up in tears and my heart breaking for these beautifully broken characters.
A reverse harem series that will have you hooked from the start, rooting for the good people and cursing the bad.
I need Faithless ASAP
I AM SHOCK!
“Breathe, Snow. Breathe“I remember a gentle voice whispering,
one who kept me sane when all I wanted to do was give in to the madness.
A book that kept me excited from start to finish was so emotional and tragic,
after the terrible events at the end of the previous book, this also has consequences now.
Boys and Snow have a secret that only they know.
How to deal with this difficult time, Suffering relationships, jealousy,
nightmares, heartbreak, etc
But there are also new and unexpected.
Story told several point of views!
Thank you!
This book was marvelous. Ash and Ollie are so lost in their anger, mostly with themselves, they avoid Snow, still completely attracted to her, they spiral into so many feelings. Elle tries to support them all. The most interesting is still everything that goes with Rome. He change, we got the deep insight on him. And to be honest I somehow fall completely for him (licked him, he is mine). We slowly learn bits of damage the father did on boys. It was definitely not easy book to read, with lots of triggers, plenty of hard situations and reminiscences of even heavier past but there is also love that found its way in this all. The ending is devastating cliffhanger. Waiting for next part will probably destroy my soul.
OmG I’m dying!!! I’m dead!!!! What a killer follow up!! I swear it’s so good I already want to reread it right now!!!! I’ve never loved a character more than I do Holland aka Snow!! Like if I were to have a kid that’s what I would name it!! Maybe my next fish!! I swear don’t wait for book three the cliffs that Ivy pushes you off of are brutally sweet and I am digging the pain!!! Guuuhhhhhh sooooo good!! I can’t even articulate just how amazing this is!!
This book continues on from the jaw dropping cliff hanger from the first in this series ‘heartless’. It is not a sunshine and roses love story, these guys are raw, broken, damaged and vulnerable and have some rough s#it to deal with. This book deals with sexual abuse – not to graphically but we as a reader are aware of what has happened alongside an occasional flashback. for those Rome haters be prepared for this protective older brother to penetrate your heart. Ash’s journey through this book is heart breaking and Ollie is just Ollie. Not only that but we get a glimpse at a potential spin off consisting of Elle, saint and Chad which is very exciting. The next book can’t come quick enough, I’m desperate for those guys to have their happy ending. Also ends on a cliff hanger.
Pick up right from epic cliff of book 1 this book had me all sorts of shouty capitals.
Snow stays the strong bad*ss we loved in book 1 and more so. Then there is Rome who shows a swoony side he kept hidden beneath his alphahole exterior. He seriously had moments when he was breaking my heart showing his vulnerable side.
A sidenote: I love Elle even more after this book and cannot wait for hers. But her relationship with Snow gives them both a depth they wouldn’t have without the other.
This book was a great middle book to setup all the drama I can already feel coming our way with book 3. Now I need Faithless now.
Narration for audiobook:
Wowwwww!! This audiobook was addicting and really helped immerse myself in the POPH universe again in anticipation of Elle’s duet. The narrators really did a phenomenal job on this one, bringing the love story of Rome and Snow to life. I felt it so much, made me smile once things started to fall into place and the ending killed me. Like I knew it was going to happen and knew the resolution already, but it didnt stop it from hurting any less. Favorite book of the series, hands down. You finally get some resolution in terms of the bullying from the harem, thank goodness because my heart couldn’t take much more, and you 10000% fall in love with other characters (who get their story soon!!). Recommend 5/5 on all counts
Review from 2019 (still holds true!):
I might start to ramble so please bear with me haha. I have a trigger for bullying so I was nervous when Ivy came out with this series a couple months ago. I read Heartless and one of the male MCs comments/bullying made me not a fan of him but I fell in love with the story and the MC, Snow, and couldn’t wait for Soulless. I thought, there is no way she can outdo herself, especially after that epic cliffhanger at the end of Heartless.
Well she kicked that statement to the curb and made Soulless even better than Heartless, for me at least!! She added so much depth to the storyline, especially with some of the side characters, and I am dying for Faithless already and Soulless just released today haha.
So in Soulless, we get to see how the characters handle the cliffy from Heartless (no I wont give it away) and when things should be settling for Snow and maybe the twins would see the error of their ways, they make things 10000% worse. I wanted to shake them silly, especially Ash, but don’t want to give any spoilers away because this book is so amazing, I wouldn’t want to ruin it for anyone. I will say that one of the twins wins some brownie points by the end haha. Now onto Roman who I couldn’t stand in Heartless. This book was really about him and Snow (#Snowman for life!) and I couldn’t help falling in love with him with every chapter. Ivy totally changed my heart with a couple heartfelt and vulnerable chapters and I swooned so hard for Rome that I bumped him up to my fav brother at the moment. No joke, you guys will love him so badly and the chemistry with him and Snow is INSANE!! So . Ivy definitely stepped up her game and got me to switch sides and be #TeamRoman haha. I think one of my favorite parts of the whole book actually was him doubting himself and needing some reassurance from Snow, and the Christmas scene with the presents. Rome’s was so adorable and hit me right in the heart.
Now back to those side characters. Elle totally stole some of the show in Soulless. I want her to be my spirit animal, she is that BA! I loved how she stands up for her family, no matter the consequences. I need her book already, especially after whatever happened over Thanksgiving with Chad and Saint . Vivienne becomes an even worse villain than Judge Grayson and I cant wait to see if any of my theories pan out. I think she is way smarter and manipulative than people give her credit for. Especially with what happened at the end of the book….she better get what’s coming to her in an EPIC FASHION! I need her to be destroyed after what she’s done to Snow and the Graysons.
Overall and in summary, I think Soulless was my favorite book of Ivy’s to date and thats tough after Rotten Girl stole my heart. I think the wait for Faithless is going to kill me, but it will so be worth it in the end. The emotions I felt throughout this book were definitely rollercoaster-esque. I loved how much angst and tension Ivy weaved into this story and how the progression with everyone felt realistic. I am nervous to see more reveals in Faithless regarding the vileness of Judge Grayson and what lengths Vivienne went to to keep her high status in the elite of NYC.
Amazing job, Ivy!! I million times recommend this book and hope people see past the “bully” aspect of it because it really is a love story and lots of misunderstandings. I can’t wait to get this on paperback and hopefully on audio too
Second part of this installment is definitely darker than the first. With that said, after reading its entirety, it was such a great read.
I was thrown for a loop a few times and wondered where parts were going but I loved it. I love the suspense.
One important thing I’d like to mention is the character named Snow. While she has so much going against her, she’s someone who doesn’t give up. She fights the fight and I truly love that.
So the question… Is there a cliffhanger? Yes! But don’t let that deter you! It’s so worth reading.
