Reading the entire series… very good!
This book was a fun and pretty quick read. A little frustrating at times, because just when its getting good it switches to a different person’s point of view.
Good fantasy with mystery and suspense.
Enjoyed alot
Very pleasantly surprised! I had low standards going into this, but was impressed. As far as books I enjoy go, very little detail about the world of the elves is given, but the story is central. I have rarely ever read a book where the action keeps moving, and in unpredictable ways! I had problems putting the book down at any time, because more action was always happening. And not just fight scenes or love scenes, but truly a story where you are caught up in the lives of the characters almost immediately! Yes, it’s part of a series, and if you’re like me, you’ll want to read more, but the story does finish with the novel. No horrible cliff-hangers or unfinished story here!
A thoroughly enjoyable and engaging read! I was hooked from the first to the last and so thrilled this is the first of series!
I enjoyed the book. I couldn’t put it down. There’s elves and love and intrigue and humor and magic. Need to read the next book and see what happens next.
Couldn’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series! Great characters and awesome plot.
Nice story about who and where “do I come from.” Arlyn has made her way into the world of Elves. Her goal is to locate her father. The first person she encounters is smitten with her and as a guardian he feels the urge to protect her from possible harm. To do that he begins the process of “marriage” with out asking her. His goal is to insure he will know if she is in danger. Neither of them realizes that they are part of the royalty in the estate of a high ranking individual. As the family ties are revealed so are plots against the aristocratic family.
Good entertaining read for the young mind, some words are going to create pronunciations from imagination.
Bethany Adams has done a marvelous job of world building and character building and she has been meticulous in making sure the magic in the book makes sense to us mere mortals. Arlyn is a 22-year-old whose mother has just died. All her life, she has never felt comfortable or at home in the world. She has been mercilessly bullied for her differences, and once her mother is gone, she sees no reason to continue. She decides to go looking for her father. She has been told he is an elf who came through a portal and who had every intention of staying until his father was murdered and he had to go back. Arlyn somehow manages to find the portal and finds the land her father had so eloquently described to her mother. Then she runs into an elf coming back in pretty bad shape from lack of sleep. He makes an error; he gives her a medallion so he will be able to find her again. Little does Arlyn know that this is the first step in being soulbound. Good book!
The book that started it all. Now with seven (soon to be eight) books in the Return of the Elves series, Soulbound introduces us to the elven world of Moranaia filled with love and intrigue and the knowledge that we humans are not alone on Earth.
I really enjoyed this book. It was very original and interesting. It was an easy read for someone that doesn’t find much time to read.
Cute book moves rather fast
A very good story and I enjoyed every minute of it.
Loved this book, and the series! Highly recommend!
I loved this book! There was lots of action and the characters were intriguing. Great story line.
I love the characters and how the different worlds have mashed together. I also like the how the plot line builds and the budding romance.
