Audible: Narrator – Edward Mittelstedt
I loved this narration. The narrator did a terrific job of individualizing each character and we even had some accent to help along the way. His tone and inflection were spot on for me and I never had a problem getting directly into the story and feeling a connection with the characters.
Wow! This book was NOTHING like I was expecting and I mean that in the most amazing way possible. It was dark as in scary, haunting, paranormal, unlike we usually find in romance, dark. The emotions are deep and painful and so heart breaking because there is no way but one for Jace Camden to find deliverance from what haunts him. I cannot express how much this book blew me away and left my brain a bit scrambled because it ends in a cliffhanger and as my friends know…I hate cliffies! But I knew this going in and I just felt compelled to listen to this one. Hmmm. Dark forces at work there?
There is such a sweet romance here with two characters that desire and need each other. They face some pretty touch obstacles which can only be overcome by trust and believing in the person you care for. But when you’re a new couple that isn’t always something that can be done. However, I loved that Kitt, despite being blown away time and again by her uncertainties, continued to come back to Jace.
Jace was just so completely broken, unlike any hero I’ve ever met. And oh my gawd did I hurt for him and all that he had been through and was still going through. I admired his perseverance even if he waivered at times in his actions. He was physically and emotionally drained and all I wanted was to see him find comfort, love and peace.
This was just a great read/listen! I am so glad I took a chance on it. This is more than what it appears on the surface and I was thrilled to discover it. But now the long wait for the next book! Gah! Cliffhangers!!!

Soul Bound kept me on my toes. If you like romance with a twist, Jas T. Ward is the author to follow.
Wow! This was a thrilling book that had my head turning at every twist and turn. The touches of the paranormal had me wondering if Jace was crazy or if what he was seeing was real. This book was really good and I enjoyed it so much.
Soul Bound follows Jace, his wife committed suicide and he was put on trial for her death. When he was found innocent it didn’t stop his family from harassing him wherever he went. Now he’s settled in a new town and has great friends, Skylar and Zane. That’s when they introduce him to Kit and he’s immediately drawn to her. Jace shares his dark past with her and decides no matter what, he wants to set down roots to be with her. But Jace is still hiding something.
The paranormal scenes were so great. I loved how supportive Kit was and what great friends Skylar and Zane were. They all stood by Jace when things got super weird and helped him in any way they can. This a rollercoaster of a book and its hard not to like Jace and feel his torture. But this book is amazing and hard to put down.
This interesting and exciting book about the paranormal world dragging Jace into another dimension for his soul because he was supposed to be the one to kill the bad ones. They used every one that he loved including his wife Laura that he was accused of murdering. After years of running he finally has a couple of friends and Kitt who he is seeing and really likes only Laura, or the evil that has Laura won’t leave him alone. Things just get worse before they get better and before Jace finds out any answers. Intriguing story with unique characters.

Soul Bound is unlike anything that I have ever read before and it was written so beautifully and it is literally an emotional roller-coaster with every chapter. I literally couldn’t stop reading because it had me addicted right from the start. Scenes had me tearing up, several particular scenes which I won’t repeat because you will have to read for yourself.
But Soul Bound has literally blown my mind, seeing Jace go through life with the weight of his wife’s death on his shoulders, the introduction of Kitt, this book pulls at every emotional heart string that one person can have and it did with me. There was definitely times when I wanted to scream at the characters *coughs* Olivia. One minute you can love them and then the next page or chapter you want to scream at them, and it goes on and on. It literally left me speechless and some scenes I had to go back and read again
Jas T Ward has once again blown my mind with this book and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one. If I could give it more than a 5* I would.
