Almost is a book I couldn’t put down, stayed up half the night reading it. I fell in love with Carter and Sophie’s relationship.
Sophie having so much sass that it hooked Carter for life. But the twists and emotional pain they both endured makes this book amazing.
Iron Orchids series is one of my favorites and I can’t wait for book 3.
I voluntarily chose to review an advanced copy of this book
Danielle Norman is an amazingly witty writer and she is quickly finding her niche! I love the comedy that she adds into her romance novels, and this one is no different.
I like the story of how Sophie and Carter met, but I feel like their relationship starts out too rocky, and not in a sexy way. I don’t really like Carter because he comes on way too strong and just seems like an egotistical ass, but that’s just personal preference!
I LOVE the group of girls, The Iron Orchids. Every single one of their personalities is epic and they are HILARIOUS!
I also really love the Christakos family. Each and every family member intrigues me and I really hope we get every one of their stories!!!!
WOW!!! Where do I even start with how much I loved this book???!!! Sophie and Carter had SOOOO much chemistry right from the start!! Sophie has issues… issues I thought I had all figured out but DID NOT, I love it when a book isn’t predictable! Carter is just AMAZING!!! This book had allllll the feels- I cried and I LAUGHED SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!! I can’t wait to read what is next for the rest of this crazy, amazing cast of characters that I have come to love so much in such a short period of time!!!!
Danielle Norman – this is what you’re supposed to be doing!!!!! If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would!!!
PS….. BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA …. seriously almost died!!! LOL!!!
Lots of second chances throughout this story. Carter and Sophia meet up again after ten years.
A lot has changed since then!!
All the wonderful characters we have come to expect appear regularly through the story, how could a girl survive without her new besties?
Another great addition to this series. Sophie and Carter were young when they met. Her 17 and he was 20, and a sheriff. Carter thought he had it all when Sophie up and left and broke his heart. On a wild drunken spree in Vegas where he met a woman and ended up married. Now 10 years later she’s back and they are trying to put things back together. But there are a lot of surprises, hurt and heat. Can carter make things right. Great story. hea.
This book is a second chance romance. Sophie has been in love with Carter since she was 17. Carter has felt the same for her, but circumstances kept them apart for 10 years. Will they get the chance to rekindle what they once had or will the secrets they’ve been keeping tear them apart for good? I enjoyed this book, now on to Impact.
Make sure to have
The tissues ready for this one. 10 years kept these two sweethearts apart. Carter never really got over Sophie when she disappeared, but he still loved her. She was back because her mom has moved back from California and now is working at Disney in Florida. But she still has to tell him why she left the first time. But they have a lot to work out.
An interesting second chance love story with some remarkable ending. In life sometimes we take the unpredictable step that changes us forever and not at all the times those around us understand why – specially if we are the very reserved sort of person. The story concentrates in very relatable life facts such as family, relationships, sickness, love and it´s a very endearing read!
Happily ever after for sure. I did feel like there were to many details in too few pages. I had to reread a few spots because I lost track due to information overload. It was still a great read. Could not put it down.
3.5 bumped to 4. This is the second book in the Iron Orchids series by Danielle Norman. It was just as fun, sweet, and entertaining as Enough, the first book. There was drama in this one as well, but not in the same way. The drama and suspense in this one stayed within the boundaries of Carter’s and Sophie’s relationship and what happened ten years prior to when this story actually takes place. The cast of wonderful characters is the same, the spotlight is just on a different couple. This whole series is like spending time with your tribe.
The second in the Iron Orchids series is everything the first was – which I thought was flawless – and more as we discover more about the secondary characters. This has a very emotional backstory with Sophie and Carter however, the story remains light and funny, how did she do that? Loved it! Funny, sexy, emotional, exceptional.
This book is my favourite in the series. Loved the story
Another great read!!!!! This book kept me on the edge of my seat hoping that lifes twists would finally let these two be together! Such a touching way that it did!!! Loved this book from the beginning!!
Loved the entire set awesome books must read
I couldn’t put this book down, love all her books!
Great read, tear jerker
Tears and laughter! Loved it
The Christakos family returns for the 2nd book in the Iron Orchids Series.
Sophie used to live with her family in Orlando, her plan was to stay there for a year while her mom temporarily moved to California for work. Instead she packed up and moved across the country without any explanation to the rest of her family. That was ten years ago and Carter Lang is still wondering what happened to the girl he fell in love with who just disappeared on him all those years ago. Then his best friend- Kayson- and the entire family are preparing for their cousin Sophie to move back home and answers start falling into place. The problem is that Carter still doesn’t have all the answers, and Sophie isn’t quite ready to give them to him, or the rest of her family.
The audio for this was great. The books in this series have so much heart and family while still having a tone of laughs and fun.
Warning: Hold on to your heart and have the Kleenex handy. A fantastic read with a fairy tale twist.
What a great read. I couldn’t put it down. Looking forward to reading book three! Keep writing Danielle, you are an awesome story teller!
