This is the first time in reading this author with my attention going to her because of the MC in her story. Even though I am waning on the genre this one tempted me. Sonny has quite the story in this one with one thing after another. When he finally meets Gia it really starts cooking with us along with it. The size of a heart is also displayed in this with yours melting at times. The layers that are peeled in this and the story that unfolds captures you from beginning to end.
Oh do I ever love me some Sonny. Every woman should have a guy like him in their lives. Ms Galvani has written another fantastic addition to the Devil’s Wind MC Series. I honestly wasn’t sure it could get any better but somehow it does with each addition she writes. The storylines always seem to pack a punch and the characters couldn’t get any more realistic and loveable. As the title suggests, this is Sonny’s story, and boy does he have a story to tell. From his past which he is still dealing with to his future which takes on a pretty enormous turn from what he expected.
Sunny is a big guy with a temper that he does his best to get in check. But trust me when I say he’s a big ole teddy bear on the inside at least for those he considers his. From the girls at the club to his woman, he takes the weight of their problems on his shoulders and does everything he can to take care of them (basically he overprotects what he considers “his”). And that woman I just mentioned, is Gia (yep, the same one that saved Breech). Gia is a great gal that has no problem standing up for herself and that includes going toe to toe with Sonny. Trust me when I say she can give as good as she gets.
These two have a great chemistry and they know it. But trouble comes when Gia finds out about Sonny’s son that was stolen out from under him when he was born. These two will go on one very wild and unexpected ride and it’s one you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend reading Sonny’s story and following along with the good, the bad, the hot and the crazy that is about to come their way. A Huge 5 Stars for Sonny’s Surrender and I wish to say Kudos to Ms. Galvani for a phenomenal job writing not only Sonny story but this great MC series as well. I highly recommend grabbing up the series now… you won’t regret it.
I don’t think this is a MC book as much as it’s an MC-lite book. It doesn’t have issues with the club the way that most MC books do, and is, in my opinion, lighter than most. That doesn’t ruin my enjoyment of the book, but it’s important to note, for those who do like heavier or darker MC books. I do too, but I can do both.
Gia is a friend to the Devil’s Wind MC. After she helped to save one of their members, they are all willing to help her and all have her back. Sonny wants to have more than just her back. He’s drawn to her in all kinds of ways, and he will always be there for her. When she calls from her job at the local convenience store because some punk kids are trying to start something, he rushes over to help her. When he tells her that he hates her working the overnight shift at the stop and rob, he lets her know that there is a job as the secretary at the club.
Sonny wants Gia, but he’s also hiding a secret. He has a son. The mother of his son only let him hold him once before she disappeared, taking his baby with her, 5 years before. He’s kept it hidden from his MC brothers because he was in a dark and terrible place while it was happening, but decided to get himself clean as soon as he saw his son. Five years later, he’s still looking, and still keeping himself out of the same kind of trouble.
While I overall enjoyed the book, I didn’t particularly like Sonny’s reaction to Gia at one point. He jumped without looking and it really upset Gia. I understand why it upset her, I would’ve had the same reaction as she did and probably wouldn’t have been as forgiving about it as she was.
D.D. Galvani has once again outdone herself with Sonny’s Surrender! This book pulled me in at the start and just kept getting better and better with every page I read. Surprising me with an even deeper and moving story than I saw coming and being nothing like I expected I was wowed by every bit of it! A sweet and sexy biker that’s still all alpha and a woman who’s survived more than her fair share of heartbreak come together with a romance that will sweep you off your feet! Throw in a surprising twist that hits you right in the feels and Sonny’s Surrender becomes one of my new favorite MC reads!
Gia was someone I already really liked from the previous book. She showed the incredible woman she was when she decided to protect a stranger against all odds, I loved her for that then, and I love her even more now after learning all she’s overcome and still she became someone I’d be proud to know in real life. The romance she has with Sonny quickly swept me off my feet right from the start.
Sonny, like all the men of his club, may have one tough exterior but his heart is something beautiful. Fiercely protective and loyal while still being gentle and sweet when it comes to those he cares about. I fell hard and fast for him! When a shocking surprise from his past comes up out of nowhere it takes his and Gia’s story to a whole new level of awesome and made this a book I couldn’t put down!
My kinda MC. You might call me “Pollyanna”, still I like an MC that has a positive outlook. These guys are all alpha male, tatted and bearded, expert cursers, like their women, sex, yet still do some good for the community.
Sonny has a thing for Gia. She likes him, befriends him but isn’t ready for a relationship–not that he isn’t about the hottest guy she’s ever seen. When his concern that she isn’t safe working in a dangerous location for a lone woman comes true, he offers her a job with the club–not a club girl but in the office. One more reason to keep them apart–employee/boss–not good. How long will they hold out?
I love them both. They are a great couple and the other club wives are a kick. Put them together and the guys better watch out. When Gia finally gives in, a secret may just negate the progress. Then his lost son and two feisty, strong little girls push their way into his heart. Is that heart big enough to take them all in?
You’ll see the best in him while he works through the worst with Gia by his side. Will he let her stay?

Devil’s Wind MC isn’t your regular MC. They are all about family, riding, and the brotherhood. They support each other, regardless of circumstances, and back each other up, no questions asked. This is book three, and is Sonny and Gia’s story.
Sonny is a typical biker. He loves his MC family, and everything that comes with it. But he’s at the point in his life that he is ready for more. He wants to settle down, with the right woman, and have a family of his own. Now he knows who that woman is, but she isn’t as sure about a relationship as he is.
Gia has had a pretty tragic past. She lost her parents, and was put into foster care. That led to some pretty horrific circumstances, that the Devil’s Wind MC rescued her from. They become her family, give her a second chance at happiness. And Sonny is part of that. She isn’t sure about what he wants, what they could be, or if it’s a good idea to grab onto that chance.
I enjoyed books 1 & 2 so much, that I didn’t even read the blurb for this book before I began reading it. Sonny & Gia were a fun couple, and their story was intriguing from the beginning. Together, they were combustible, with interactions hot enough to melt my Kindle! There were lots of surprises, lots of action, and plenty of laughs. Definitely a good fit for the DWMC world, and I’m looking forward to see what comes next!
