This is the conclusion of the North Security Trilogy which is the story of Liam North and Samantha Brooks. You have to read Concerto and Overture before you can read Sonata or your goin to be very lost, I am so lin love with these two characters. They are polar oppoisted and have a forbidden relationhip. This has been such an addictive series to read. I do not want to give a thing away abou this book. I went into it without even reading the desciption. Iwanted everything that happened to not be ruined by someting I saw before hand. This book is steamy and twisted and totally undpredicitable but I loved it and loved I can not recommend this trilogy enough. Sky Wareens writes some pretty amazing boos This series is a must read for romance lovers who love their stories on the edgy sometimes dark side.
*sigh* no more words …. I don’t even know what to do with myself right now.
Reading a story written by Skye Warren is an experience like no other . I am always left at a loss for words at the end. There is so much to this story that it is impossible to tell you anything without spoiling the journey for a new reader. MADDENING I tell ya!
So I’m only going to say this …. Trust me when I tell you this woman is an epic story-teller. Trust me when I say trust nothing that you read and do not take anything at face value because she is a master manipulator with her words. Nothing is ever what it seems, but it is almost always gloriously twisted. Her stories will be edgy and sexy and layered in the most epic ways!
Go forth and enjoy … #TRUST
Sonata is the final book in the North Security Series that follows Samantha Brooks and Liam North, although it looks like this series will continue with Joshua and Elijah, the other North Brothers stories and I am THRILLED for that. What I wasn’t so thrilled about was the ending of Samantha and Liam’s story, I am sure we will see more of them in Joshua and Bethany’s book Audition, but until then I am left a little unsatisfied.
This has been a wonderful roller coaster ride of secrets, lies, and forbidden love. I enjoyed watching Samantha become a woman instead of the young lady she started the series as. I love Liam and Samantha together, forbidden love at it’s finest. Skye Warren has taken us on a journey and made us root for Liam and Samantha right from the very start. Even if your mind told you no! they shouldn’t be together because he was her guardian, I can almost guarantee you turned the corner pretty quickly on that thought once you felt not only the chemistry but the love between the two of them. Liam would lay down his life for her and those aren’t just words he proves it.
I felt the ending was a bit rushed for my liking though, otherwise it would have most likely been a five star read for me. I still have some questions that are unanswered and I am wondering if they will be answered in Josh and Bethany’s book because their story is intertwined with Liam and Samantha’s, or if I will be left forever wondering….
I highly recommend this trilogy for those that enjoy forbidden love, romantic suspense, or age-gap romances. If you are a fan of Skye Warren’s work this needs to be added to your TBR list and if you haven’t read any of her work yet, this is a great place to start.
Happy Reading!!!
What a phenomenal end to this trilogy! Liam and Samantha are two of my favorite characters, and this trilogy just proves why. Samantha, the child prodigy with the violin, fears the violin because of an incident and doesn’t know how to overcome it. Can Liam help? Will she ever perform in front of an audience again? This final installment in the trilogy answers all your questions from the first two books and it blew my mind! So many twists and turns. As you read, you can’t help but understand the feelings Liam has and why and how Samantha wants him in her life. But things don’t always go as planned. I highly recommend this trilogy, it is incredible!
Ok. So I have struggled with writing this review…I really liked this trilogy and was super excited to get Liam and Samantha’s ending, but was really disappointed. I had to go back and re-read a few chapters to see if I missed something only to find that I didn’t miss it because it wasn’t there. The ending was just too rushed for me. I am left with unanswered questions and the mystery is still unsolved for me. I was really hoping for a BIG ending, but didn’t get it. Maybe I was just being greedy and was expecting too much.
Happy Reading Everyone!!!
I’ve been waiting for the end of Samantha and Liam’s story because I’ve been dying to find out how they managed to work everything out. And I have to say, I was not disappointed at all. The book was all that I needed and more.
I did get mad at Liam sometimes, mostly because he was an idiot at times. He got way too far into his own head, and it caused him to fall over himself at times. I think that he made himself and definitely Samantha a lot more miserable than they really needed to be.
I think that Samantha has really grown a lot through the books, and it’s been really interesting to watch her grow that way.
I want a story about Frans and Isa, because I’m sure that there is something interesting going on there.
Sonata by Skye Warren 5 stars
The conclusion to Samantha and Liam’s story. What started out taboo to me turned into a Beautiful love story. Samantha the violin prodigy and Liam who was her guardian. The suspense and intrigue in this story grabs hold of you and doesn’t let go. The twists and turns to find the person who wants Samantha dead is a story all on its own but add in the love story between Samantha and Liam is like icing on a very glorious cake. Skye makes you feel all kinds of emotions, Sam and Liam are in hiding when this book starts. Liam is also recovering from a gunshot wound that he got while protecting Samantha. She refuses to play the violin while Liam heals. He needs to use her as bait to catch the person after her. This book and the two before it will keep you totally invested in these characters and the story. Thank you Skye for providing me this book early to review. I’m on pins and needles waiting for Josh and Bethany’s story—Carolyn for Book Haven Book Blog
This is book #3 in the series, you will need to read books 1 & 2, as this picks up where book #2 ends. SONATA is the third and final book in the explosive trilogy with Samantha Brooks and Liam North. It should be read after OVERTURE and CONCERTO.
In this book, we continue with Samantha Brooks. Does she know who she is without her violin? There’s a battle being waged in her heart, and Liam North is determined to win. He’ll use every weapon in his arsenal. His body. His heart.
Samantha wants to know if Liam loves her because he has been her guarding for most of her life? Or if he loves her for her? Does Liam know what he wants? He has been struggling with his inner demons. He loves Samantha, but, at the same time, he knows he must protect her. But, can he love her as a boyfriend loves a girlfriend? Or a husband loves a wife? Is that what he feels for her?
While they are over in Europe, he needs to figure out his feelings towards her. Samantha knows that the only one for her is Liam. However, he seems so cold and unfeeling towards her all the time it seems.
Will Samantha be able to win over Liam once and for all? Samantha fights to compose her own ending, even as the final notes rise to a heartbreaking crescendo.
I did receive a free ARC Copy of this book from the Author. I am freely leaving a review.
Secrets, killers, and Liam lurk in the shadows. North Security’s leader is just another piece to her puzzle. Sonata was both too short for my Liam starved mind and not enough. I suppose that’s a good problem. Skye Warren quickly wrapped up the mystery behind the music, the questions about their future, and gift wrapped the next book with a sweet scene. It was like eating cake and ice cream for breakfast at 6 AM. You know it wasnt enough that you wont be hungry later but with the calories consumed you know better than to gorge yourself.
Sonata is not end it’s just a different direction. I love the ending. I loved the possibilities. I can’t wait for more North Security.
Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
I’ve been anxious for this last installment in the North Security trilogy and I was not disappointed. Sonata was the perfect conclusion to this story. It was fast paced, unpredictable, steamy and full of suspense. From start to finish I was hooked and could not put it down.
The story started a little while after the previous book left off and we embark on this heart-pounding journey with Liam and Samantha both now on the run.
With twists and turns around every corner and the added angst and suspense, expect to be at the edge of your seat. This nail-biting storyline was detailed and well written, the characters were complex and well-developed. They had such intense chemistry and passion and their steamy scenes were smoking hott yet it was the bond they had that will touch your heart.
Sonata was a fabulous conclusion to this trilogy and I would highly recommend it to all lovers of romantic suspense.
4 stars!! I have waited for this book since the first book. Finally we are getting somewhere!
This is book three in the “North Security” series and can not be read as a stand alone. This is the end of Liam and Samantha’s story..
Ok so the end of the last book broke my heart. I was so damn worried so moving into this book I was expecting big things. Yes this book is fabulous and I got to finally get these two closer together but it just didn’t pull me in. It didn’t flow like the first two. But I love the story line and I freaking adore every single character.
I am still left with a million questions and nobody is really caught for this all to end so, hopefully, Bethany and Josh’s book has some answers. That is a couple I cant wait to read about!!
Liam is taboo and I love it. He is so sexy and alpha!! Samantha has really came into her skin. She is a strong young woman. I enjoyed watching her grow.
This book has a unique story line and it leaves you asking more questions and needing that next book!! This is a very good read!
** I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.**
YAY!! It’s finally here!! Sonata is the third and final installment of Skye Warren’s North Security series and OMG does this woman get me every time. Just as I have come to expect from this author, she gave me all the feels, from the angst to the happiness, from sadness to intense realizations; and lets not forget about all the twists, turns, danger, and shocking truths along the way. This is one of those series that leaves its hooks into you and refuses to let you go. I don’t think I have stopped thinking about it since I read the first book and now that it is over, I am ready to dive back in and re-read them all.
Samantha and Liam have had a forbidden but delicious relationship from the beginning and this has been the back and forth trend of deciding between right and wrong, lust and love; from the very beginning. But when danger comes calling, Liam will stop at nothing to keep her safe and that is just the beginning for these two.
I can not recommend this series enough and will caution that you can not pick up with this book, you must read them in order so get started now!
SONATA by Skye Warren is book 3 in the North Security Series. This is the epic conclusion to the story of Liam North and Samantha Brooks. In order to understand Sonata, you will need to read the previous books: 1st book ‘Overture’ and the 2nd book ‘Concerto’ which will help you fully appreciate and enjoy book 3-Sonata.
What can I say? You will find Sonata full of pain, angst, obsession, twists, forbidden love, passion, heartache, anger, taboo, edgy pleasure/pain, need, steamy wants, and romantic moments . This book gives the reader the answers that the past books raised.
Samantha and Liam finally get the chance to have it all but will those who are after Samantha give up the chase? There are many twists that will have you wondering, craving and rooting!!! Skye Warren is the Queen of Angsty Romance and her North Security series is proof of that. The ending was phenomenal and I can’t wait for the spin-off!!
My Rating: 4.8 stars ********
A beautiful, melodic sonata! 4 stars
This story unfolded like a beautiful sonata! It had intense notes of love, desire, surrender, mystery and suspense that I enjoyed from beginning to end! Samantha came into her own in this book and fought for what she wanted, and I respected her for that. Liam showed more vulnerability in this book, and I savored that along with his normal Alpha protectiveness. I recommend this trilogy (Overture is the first book, Concerto the second) if you enjoy a taboo relationship with a suspenseful mystery wrapped in melodic storytelling!
I received a copy of this ebook from Social Butterfly PR for my honest review.
The stunning conclusion to Liam and Samantha’s epic love story. Lana~White Hot Reads
Liam and Samantha are still trying to figure out who and why someone is trying to hurt her. They are on the move as to not have anyone find them. Its an epic tale of of lovers and they learn interesting things on the way. Liam finally gets his shit together in regards to Samantha and its awesome. Loved this book and series.
Amazingly written and passion-driven Sonata was a wonderful end to a brilliant trilogy.
Sam and Liam are both hurting after the events that unfolded in Concerto. Sam now shies away from the only outlet and love she has always had, her violin. Liam is hurting and angry and wants at all costs for Sam to be safe once and for all. But, to secure her safety he will first have to put her at risk. During her sonata, she will become the bait with which to lure her enemies out.
Will Sam be able to play her sonata? Will Liam be able to protect Sam even as he is putting her life at risk? Will they finally find the happily ever after they so richly deserve?
I am so very sad that Sam and Liam’s story is over. There is something compelling about this couple and their journey that still has me hanging on for more.
From the very first book, this story captivated and entranced me. Now that I have reached the end, I am awed.
I enjoyed every minute of this book and series. Coming down from the high of this book will definitely take some time.
This trilogy is like the sweetest melody and it swept me away with every word written.
I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
Samantha and Liam are on the run in this final book of this trilogy. Liam is still recovering from a gun shot wound; a bullet that was meant for Samantha. Sadly, she is not able to play her violin and she feeling the guilty because Liam was shot while trying to protect her. Liam and his brothers are working diligently to make this chaos come to and end. For love; the love of music and intrigue. Their relationship will be put through the test but love will conquer all. This trilogy was amazing and I am looking forward to Josh and Bethany’s story
This final installment is everything! It’s pure perfection. Liam and Samantha… oh how these two have melted my heart from the beginning. They are as hell, this book is fast faced and a perfect conclusion to their story. Liam’s love for Samantha has been brewing for years, but while she was still a minor he kept his feelings at bay. This series takes you on their thrilling journey, it’s filled with , hope, suspense and love.
Skye literally blows me away. Sonata doesn’t disappoint. Samantha and Liam are growing closer and closer, but they still have to find and end the danger that is stalking them.
Skye keeps you on your seat wondering what will happen next, but the way she shows her characters love for each other is incredible. There are so many emotions one goes through reading her books you can’t put it down. And Sonata the 3rd book in the North Security trio is a great synopsis to Samantha and Liam’s story. They have known each other for a very long time and their feelings for each other no matter how they or anyone looks at them have grown over time and will continue to grow as time goes on.
Sonata is the third installment in the North Security Trilogy. It’s a bitter-sweet ending to a couple that I have come to love in what started out as a forbidden romance. After the epic ending in Concerto, I was sure that these two were never going to reconcile their romance. Liam always seems to keep Samantha at arms length while keeping her so close.
Liam and Samantha cannot seem to find their middle ground. Liam will always continue to fill the role as her guardian and finding a balance that will separate his guardianship versus being her lover is hard to maintain. This man will hold all restraint if it means letting her go. Yet he cannot seem to keep Samantha out of his sight. The angst in this book is killer.
Samantha, on the other-hand, has experienced a multitude of violence and death in her life. By having the security of Liam as a child versus as an adult, she finds comfort in his security but seeks the affection that Liam refrained from giving her.
We get a few surprises in this book and I love the action that was written into the story. I still seek the closure in finding out what happened to Samantha’s father. I hope to find it along with reading about Josh and Bethany’s story in Audition.
Please, Please, Please keep writing about all of the North men! I’ve fallen victim to your work and I need more!!!
