He’ll use every weapon in his arsenal. His body. His heart. Except the spotlight puts her in the crosshairs of dangerous men.Samantha fights to compose her own ending, even as the final notes rise to a heartbreaking crescendo.… crescendo.
SONATA is the third and final book in the explosive trilogy with Samantha Brooks and Liam North. It should be read after OVERTURE and CONCERTO.

I adore Skye Warren’s forbidden love series and Sonata is a fantastic conclusion to Liam and Samantha’s story!
Le sigh… this is one of those romances that make the reader (ie ME) sigh happily frequently. Liam and Samantha are explosive and so insanely hot! I knew when I got t his book that I had to put aside my current read and dive in… I mean this is the conclusion on their story! I knew it was going to be an exciting book! Skye Warren did not let me know. Liam is full out on the lookout for who is after his heart and soul, Samantha. I’m addicted to his love and devotion to this woman. It was completely endearing… Liam treats her like this breakable piece of art that should be taken care of and slaved over… who can resist that?!
This was the conclusion I definitely wanted after the two previous books. It was bursting with suspense, with tension, with this intense passion and hot love. I just couldn’t stop reading! Warren is the queen of forbidden and naughty and this conclusion ticked all my boxes. It was like this serious forbidden fruit that I was starved for… I was starved! I was literally in the middle of Six Flags this weekend trying to get this book… I’m obsessed! Warren has a way of writing her characters, the situations they find themselves in and they love they find along the way. Excellent!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
Audible listen. Same narrator me as the previous two books; they’ve done great with each recording. I like that there’s a female and male narrator. Both have nice voices. A good listening experience.
This is book 3 in this series and the finale for the main trilogy, so I’d recommend starting from the beginning. Samantha and Liam are recovering from the actions at the end of the last book, and trying to find a way to work romantically. The relationship drama; the back and forth junk, is a bit too annoying as it has been 3 books of it, but I do love the passion between Liam and Samantha. There’s also a pinch of a danger element to the story. I wish there was more action and danger in this series. This series would’ve worked fine as one book since it’s the same storyline throughout all 3 books, but I enjoyed the series as is. The writing style isn’t my favorite, but I would like to check out more books from Skye Warren. Overall, this was an entertaining, steamy read! The connection between Liam and Samantha is awesome! Plus, I love that Samantha uses her smarts and stands up for herself.
Sonata in book 3 in Skye Warren’s North Security series and was a breathtaking conclusion to Liam and Samantha’s story!! Sonata picked up immediately where Concerto’s cliffhanger left us. Sonata has it all from angst, thrills, lust, to an undeniable love that can no longer be denied! Skye Warren will wreck all of your senes with her explosive writing ability and will leave you on an absolute book hangover!!! This series does need to be read in order so make sure to grab Overture to start reading an epic taboo love tale!!
Audio Review
This is the final book in the 3 part series of Samantha and Liam. Make sure you have read or listened to the first two books before you start this one or you will be lost. I feel like there will be more books around this story from Liam’s brothers because we still do not find out the mystery around the plot to kill Samantha.
Samantha Brooks has spent her entire life being what others wanted her to be but when her future is threatened and the man she loves is shot she decides she is taking control of the one thing she can, her music.
Liam North loves Samantha even though he struggles with the guilt of doing so. There is so much history around them and demons that keep him from acting on his love but when Samantha is still under threat he will stop at nothing from protecting her and maybe she can protect his heart as well.
I really enjoyed this series. It is full twists and turns and a love between an older man and younger woman of which he was her guardian for years. There is that taboo factor that gives it the heat.
Grace Grant and Teddy Hamilton are perfect as Samantha and Liam. Grace gives you to feel for Samantha and Teddy is perfect as the alpha Liam. Great job.

Well Skye did it, brought the story to a conclusion, with bearly a scratch to show for it. It however wasn’t without having to hang on for dear life on the roller coaster ride through the suspense, angst and intrigue in this highly charged romance.
Teddy & Grace had a lot to do with the transitions in their skilled narration, way to go both of you.
Review for Audiobook Obsession
This is the suspenseful and steamy conclusion to Liam and Samantha’s story. Samantha is the conflicted one this time. She is afraid her music is hurting those she loves. But who is she without the violin and music she has clung to her whole life. Liam wants to help her be whole again and is finally ready to make her his. But there is still so many secrets that could get them both killed. Grace Grant, and Teddy Hamilton once again give life to these characters and their breathtaking story. I loved how Hamilton brought out Liam’s tender side and Grant showed us Samantha’s strength and resilience so beautifully. I really enjoyed this trilogy. This is my first time listening to Warren’s work and I am excited to check out more of her work.
What an Amazing ending to this Series! Liam is still concerned about Samantha’s safety. The violin always gave her pleasure and relaxation whenever she played, but now she is reluctant to play but ever since the threat on her life in Concerto. Liam has a plan but Samantha needs to get over her fear and play her violin again. The suspense, worry, love, passion, are felt throughout this conclusion of Liam’s and Samantha’s story
Grace Grant and Teddy Hamilton are phenomenal narrators, perfect for this story

Sonata
The North Security Trilogy, Book 3
By: Skye Warren
Narrated by: Grace Grant, Teddy Hamilton
I was so excited to get to hear the end of Samantha and Liam’s story and I was not disappointed! These two have been through so much! This picks up where the second book left off, as Liam recovers from a gunshot wound. Willing to take a bullet for Samantha says so much! The push-pull continues with this taboo relationship, but Samantha does not give up! And the action surrounding her performance, along with the impending danger is thrilling. Some surprising characters pop up and some interesting revelations occur.I loved their story from start to finish, and Warren did them justice in the end!
The team of Teddy Hamilton and Grace Grant finish out the series with their wonderful narration. I really enjoyed Hamilton’s portrayal of Liam. He gives him an edge of malice with conflicting tenderness that just suits his personality. Grant is confident and secure as Samantha, and with her inflections lets us know exactly how she is feeling. A fantastic performance by both made this trilogy enjoyable!

Sonata (The North Security Triology, Book 3 is the perfect finale to this triology series. The narrative is intricately weaved with complex and compelling characters. The epilogue ending was the icing on the cake.
Narrators Grace Grant and Teddy Hamilton performance was impeccable. Their dual narration was music to my ears. Both brought their own inflection to fit the characters.

Sonata is a beautiful conclusion to this trilogy involving Samantha and Liam and the back and forth between them. Liam is fierce and protective, but has struggled immensely with his role in Samantha’s life since she went into his care. The demons in his own past shape his views on love and life and what he feels like both he and Samantha deserve, and while he feels like she deserves everything in life, his complicated past causes him to question the belief that could actually be him.
Sonata is drama heavy in that for a large part of the book Samantha’s safety and life are in danger, and the one thing in life that has brought her peace, the violin, is now the one thing that brings her pain.
I enjoyed getting to see more of Liam’s vulnerabilty and his softer side, and he seemed to open himself up more to Samantha in this book, which I really appreciated, though his alpha side is always deeply appreciated and extremely hot. Their chemistry in this book was off the charts, but I really enjoyed the continuation and strengthening of their emotional bond, and I absolutely enjoyed that above all else, they were able to get their happily ever after. I have loved every minute of this trilogy and getting to know these characters through this author’s words and cannot wait to read more of the author’s work.
Sonata – Skye Warren
This is it, last book in the trilogy and it is amazing!
Liam and Samantha are now in Nantes, France hiding while Liam recovers from the bullet would he received at the performance in Carnegie Hall. The bullet that almost killed him, the bullet that had Samantha give up playing her violin.
Emotions and adrenaline are running neck in neck now for both Liam and Samantha. His need is to keep her safe, her need is to keep him safe by giving up her music. The problem is in order to bring the assassin(s) out, Samantha has to start playing again and she is adamant that isn’t going to happen. Until Liam and an old friend of his set everything in motion to catch them. Everything that happens is happening to bring this whole issue to a close. To keep her safe and alive and on Liam’s terms!
As always we can count on Skye Warren to give us not just the darkness of the world they have both spend most of their lives living, but also the true beauty of their love for each other. Warren throws in intrigue, history, devotion and sex to build this story to its close.
I just made a note to self, to always buy that new Skye Warren book when it comes out. She holds me in her grasp while I read her books and that grasp is totally enjoyed!
I purchased this book and am leaving my review voluntarily.
Triggers: age gap, violence
**spoilers**
This is the conclusion to a 3 part story of Samantha and Liam. I liked both the H and h, something that doesn’t happen often.
Back story: Samantha, child violin prodigy – daughter of a traitor and whose mom left her. Liam, abused as a child now a security expert with his brothers. Sent by the government to kill her father, Samantha gets caught up as a young child. Liam feels guilty, and takes her into his home acting as her guardian. Fast forward to Samantha growing up, turning 18. She’s in love with Liam, he is her whole world. He feels the same about her except he doesn’t think he deserves her.
Secrets come out, tragedies happen but eventually they come together.
I usually don’t care for trilogy’s, and this story could’ve been compressed into 2 books but overall I am happy with the writing from this author. She made the other characters likeable and as there are several connected books, I will be reading those as well.
Once again Skye Warren has another hit series and I can’t wait for her next series to come out!
It’s the final curtain call and this time Samantha is bait to draw out whoever is after her! Liam has sworn to protect Samantha no matter the cost even if it means his life! I was a little disappointed at the end because I feel there were questions left unanswered but we got a little sneak peak in to what is to come in Bethany and Josh’s book!
Will Samantha finally get through to Liam that she loves him and isn’t going anywhere, will her father be successful and kill her or will Liam push her into thearyms of another man? Find out in the exciting conclusion to the North Security series that you won’t be sorry about!
I recommend this book couldn’t put it down
This was a pretty unique book.
You get to see the growth of both Sam
and Liam. She’s becomes less vulnerable,
more matured, there’s growth in her music, but
and also in herself. She also discovers that she
is a survivor and that gives her strength, not only
to face the people trying to hurt her, but it also gives
her the push she needs to go forth with Liam.
Then there’s Liam North, he’s an enigma. He also finds
growth in himself, and finds that there’s room in his
chaotic heart for love. He finds that he can be vanurable
but only towards Sam. I’m really looking forward to the
rest of the North brothers books
I’m literally speechless after reading Sonata or I’m just confused or baffled, I can’t even tell. Honestly, I don’t know where to start this review and if someone told me I would feel like this, after reading the last book in the North Security series written by Skye Warren, one of my favorite authors, I would definitely think it wouldn’t be possible. Yet here we are.
I was really excited about the final book in this trilogy so I didn’t really mind the slow pace at first, but somewhere along the way it started to bother me. The story was dragging and I felt like I was still reading the second book, because nothing was actually happening or moving toward a wrap up. I kept staring at the reading progress on my Kindle which I never do when I’m invested in the story. I was shocked when I got to 80-85ish % without any real character growth, little progress on the mystery/conspiracy plot and no progress whatsoever on the relationship between Liam and Samantha. There were some entertaining scenes but their relationship remained exactly like it was on the second book. The push and pull remained the same for most of the book: Liam protecting Samantha, feeling guilty about his feelings, dealing with his childhood traumas and Samantha trying to convince him that there was no need for him to feel guilty, that she really wanted him and that he was worthy. Just like a repetitive cycle. Then, around 85% everything happened! Like in a blink of an eye, everyone was safe, happy and all the security issues were solved. What the hell happened? I couldn’t even figure out how everything was solved, I read the last 15% of the book 3 times and I still can’t understand how everything was pushed aside. I’m very disappointed so I can’t rate this book higher than 2 stars and the second star is only because Skye Warren writing is still notably good. I’ll still order Audition, the first book in the spinoff series, True North, because I believe it might be better, we’ll see.
Captivating and steamy- great read!
Trilogy’s final book
This the final book of Liam and Samantha’s story that was started in Overture. Liam and Samantha are hiding out after the attempt on Samatha’s life and Liam jumped in front of the bullet. Liam and Samantha have a heat level that is off the charts. There is an HEA for Liam and Samantha. I really looked forward to this book but I don’t feel that all the questions were answered that were raised in book two. I love Skye’s writing and usually I am completely engaged but this book left me with more questions than answers. Having said this there are many aspects of the book I liked. I also like that Skye will be continuing the story of the North Brothers with a story about Josh and Bethany.
