I’m thrilled when my editor sends me to a dreamy tropical island to write a feature story for the travel magazine I work for. Then I find out that Travis Cox, a rival writer who is lavished with undeserved praise and spends his travels chasing tail, is on the exact same assignment.Worse, we’re staying in the same hotel……in adjoining freakin’ rooms.I’m not going to let Travis ruin this … ruin this assignment for me, though.
And I’m definitely not going to let those stupidly perfect abs of his distract me while we’re here.
Fall for Travis? Are you kidding me?
That won’t happen in a million years.
Dear Reader,

Travis and Bree are both travel writers for their rival magazine. Bree has her misconceptions about Travis which makes her seem like an ice queen to Travis. The two have chemistry. The story flows smoothly. The places that are described in the story sounds beautiful. It is a short read.

What a great feel-good story about two travel writers falling in love. It wasn’t all rainbows at first but their attraction was palpable. The feel of the island comes alive in this story. I only wish we would have gotten a little glimpse into the resolution between Bree and Travis instead of just going straight into the epilogue. But, I do love me the extra epilogues!!

Bree is a 25 year old Tavel writer heading to Pole Island to write an article about the place. On the plane she is seated next to Travis, a writer who works for a competing magazine who won an award the previous year that she had expected. A coworker had told her that Travis was a love em and leave em playboy so she had a low opinion of him and gave him the cold shoulder. He thought she was hot but agreed to try to stay out of her way. Travis was able to get a reservation at a very popular restaurant they wanted to try but was booked full. He got the reservation by saying he and his wife were celebrating their first wedding anniversary and then got Bree to agree to pose as his wife for the dinner. They finally talked and got to know one another. Would the travel writers really get to know one another and be able to find love?
I thoroughly enjoyed the short story where Bree realized you shouldn’t always listen to other people’s perspectives without finding out for yourself. I especially liked the 2 epilogues.

These short novellas always seem to hit the right note. Instant attraction with some steamy action and a little bit of drama thrown in are good for a fun and quick read. The premise of this storyline is cute with a wonderful ending in how it all turns out with big gesture for true love.

Son of a Beach is an enemies to lover story that started out and almost ends with a misunderstanding. But once the air is cleared and tear are shed this wonderful love story is one that is written for the story books,
Bree is heading to Pole Island to write a travel article for her magazine and relax, on the plane a handsome man sits next to her, the only problem she can not stand him. Travis is a fellow writer, on his way to do his own article about the island. Bree’s dislike for Travis is based on a jealous woman, but when she gets to know the real man, her heart is no longer hers.
This is a great addition to this series.

Travis and Bree’s story is so sweet! After a very rough start and several very wrong assumptions, travel writers Travis and Bree find themselves heading to the same Caribbean location. Working in the same field, the two are familiar with each other and while Travis admires Bree and her work, Bree lets jealousy and unfounded rumors take over her thoughts about him. I enjoyed watching their story unfold and I really enjoyed the sweet ending. Highly recommend!

This is a story about two travel writers reviewing the same island, at the same time, staying in the same hotel, on the same floor, next door to each other. Bree is a great writer. She researches for the story, interviews locals and local attractions that might be off the beaten trail. She keeps running into Travis, the other travel writer for a competitor magazine. Travis is pleasant with Bree, but Bree is not. She is standoffish. Are they more attracted to each other than the want to admit? It is an entertaining story. The characters are likable. Their is an attraction that they can’t get away from; will they come together? There is irritation, attraction, passion, and miscommunication – it makes for a interesting storyline. It’s a short little read, you will enjoy.

I really enjoyed reading this “enemies to lovers” short read. Bree was lead to believe Travis was a certain way while Travis was trying to figure out why Bree disliked him so much. These two were great together as they butt heads but they secretly like each other. After a wonderful night together, there was a misunderstanding and Bree runs from Travis even though she doesn’t know the whole story. I would recommend this book!

this was a great shirt read for the summer. Bree a travel writer bumps into her rival on the plane to they chosen resort. from the start she backed away from Travis, he didn’t understand way. the pair find them selves bumping into each other all day long and plan to stop it, but when they finally put their differences aside they realise what they feel for each other. great little read.
This was my first story by Kate and I loved it.
It was a lovely and sweet short romance story.
The scene, Pole Island, is the perfect place for this love story to develop.
It was nice to read how the characters, Bree and Travis, grow to each other.
A nice read in between.

Bree and Travis are acquaintances from the industry that they work in. Preconceived notions and gossip keep their interactions pretty cool even though they are on a Caribbean island.
When they finally talk things out and the misunderstandings are cleared up, these two are phenomenal together.
Bree and Travis are travel writers for different magazine companies.
On the flight to Pole Island, the two MCs are seated next to each other. Bree has hard feelings towards Travis due to an event from the previous year.
After a few chance encounter meetings, these warm up to each other and get their HEA.
