I’m thrilled when my editor sends me to a dreamy tropical island to write a feature story for the travel magazine I work for. Then I find out that Travis Cox, a rival writer who is lavished with undeserved praise and spends his travels chasing tail, is on the exact same assignment.Worse, we’re staying in the same hotel……in adjoining freakin’ rooms.I’m not going to let Travis ruin this … ruin this assignment for me, though.
And I’m definitely not going to let those stupidly perfect abs of his distract me while we’re here.
Fall for Travis? Are you kidding me?
That won’t happen in a million years.
Dear Reader,

Travis and Bree were competitors and she couldn’t stand how cocky that he was. Now it seemed they were on the same assignment. But through a twisting of events, everything changed and the fast and fun romance of Travis and Bree started with a few bumps along the way. Fun read

Son of a Beach focuses on two rival travel authors, Bree and Travis, who are sent on the same assignment to a tropical island known as Pole Island. I recommend this well written and humor filled read with its delightful characters, humorous storyline, witty banter, and steamy romance.

As a travel writer, Bree is sitting in her seat waiting for the plane to whisk her away to her next assignment when a rival writer walks onto the plane and sits next to her. Travis has no clue that Bree has misconceptions of him and soon finds out. I loved these two characters and both their povs. A sizzle in the moonlight book.

I enjoyed Son of a Beach but it was too short, I needed more. This went from hate to love way too fast. I needed more backstory. In my opinion the best part was the bonus epilogue I signed up for. We got to see where Bree and Travis were 10 years into the future. I read on Kindle Unlimited.
This book was great. I loved how the drama started in the beginning. I was not sure if it was going to end the way I wanted it to but I was very pleased by it.

Travis is a travel writer with a bad reputation and Bree is a travel writer with a lot of misconceptions. Travis doesn’t get why he was judged and condemned and when everything seems to be perfect, Bree assumes again. It really bothered me that he was the one that had to keep proving himself for her misunderstandings but I loved the happily ever after.

A sweet, quick-read from Kate Hunt. A sweet romance that starts with a series of misunderstandings and ends with a wonderful HEA. As per usual Kate brings on the steam and sexiness, a definite worthwhile read.

Bree is a strong career woman and I like her snark and her spunk. Travis is sweet, sexy and so romantic. I love how their start is rife with misunderstandings and I love how Travis moves them past it so unexpectedly and inadvertently. This easy to read story is quick and fun to read with a great epilogue and deep resolution.

A very cute, quick story, and I enjoyed the characters of Bree and Travis a great deal! Their story hinges on a misunderstanding regarding a travel writing award that Bree felt she should have received but that had gone to Travis instead. Now they find themselves both on assignments to the same island and will be competing once again. They are at odds with each other but find it necessary to work together and gradually that pesky misunderstanding starts to unravel and they are now wanting to write a different ending to that particular narrative!

Bree and Travis, rival travel writers, are on the same assignment on a tropical island. They keep running into each other and the more time they spend together a connection is formed. This is a short novella filled with drama, misunderstandings, insta love, steam and a great epilogue.
Hate to Love – Too sweet! This book is about Travis and Bree. They are both travel writers and when they head to the same resort, she is clear to him that she hates him. It is sweet that while you believe you want to hate someone because of what is being said about them, inside you end up loving them more at least until you get to know if what you heard is true or not. In this case everything she heard about him was false, so was the love real? Well having a love letter printed instead of an article should answer the question. I loved the bonus epilogue with all the craziness that they have in 10 years.

Bree and Travis are travel writers for rival magazines. He won the big award last year, but she’s sure she’ll take it this year, especially with her new assignment – Pole Island. Just one problem – they both have the same assignment. Maybe a few more problems – they’re in the same hotel, on the same floor, in adjoining rooms, and they keep running into each other on the island. Focus, Bree. Don’t look at his abs. And don’t fall for him. I’ve had so much fun reading this multi-author series, and this one is from one of my favorites. Bree and Travis are both really good at their jobs, focused and talented. She’s got an edge, until she looks at his abs. And falls for him. There’s some drama ahead, and someone will make a huge sacrifice in the name of love.

Enemies to lovers
Bree and Travis are competing travel writers. They’re at odds. Travis doesn’t understand why and Bree has been misinformed. Travis finds himself in a spot and needs a ‘wife’. Bree begrudgingly obliges and sees Travis in a different light but a misunderstanding might ruin it all. Loved Travis and Bree’s story. Highly recommend.
This is a fantastic short story in the Insta Love Island Book series. Kate Hunt puts a lot in a few pages and develops the characters well. Travis and Bree’s story is a fun one about learning not to have preconceived notions about other people and finding love when you least expect it or at least with who you least expect. You don’t want to miss this one and I can’t wait to read more in the series.

I’m loving this entire series! Each story takes place on Pole Island, so after reading several, it starts to feel like a real place. Because of that, I was thrilled to read this book in particular – two travel writers exploring Pole Island! This story is so very well written! It truly makes you feel as if you’re on Pole Island, learning the history and culture. Also, I did enjoy the romance between Travis and Bree, had fun seeing them go from enemies to lovers. This book is a quick fun story, with incredible depth of feeling, and wonderfully imaginative and vivid descriptions. I think it’s my favorite of the series!

Celebrating a fake anniversary cracks that door wide open
Son of a Beach by Kate Hunt is the eighth book in the Insta Love Island series where each book is by a different author. This book is the story of Bree Lyons and Travis Cox.
At twenty-five Bree has accomplished her dream of becoming a travel writer for a magazine. He life might not be completely perfect as her love life is non-existent and she still wants to accomplish a lot more in her career but things are still good. She is sent to Pole Island to write an article for the magazine. Cashing in some of her miles she has upgraded herself to first class and has settled back in her seat with a glass of champagne for a trip she is confident will give her a unique article. When she looks up and sees a man putting his luggage in an overhead bin at the front of the plane she recognizes him and it is not someone she wants to see, Travis Cox.
Travis is a travel writer who is on his way to Pole Island to write an article for his travel magazine. He has done well in his career including winning awards and experience things that he has enjoyed. As he boards his flight and wrestles with getting his luggage into the overhead bin he glimpses a beautiful women who was sitting in his row and thought to himself, oh you lucky sob. Then as he recognized the woman he thought he was really lucky as it was Bree Lyons.
Bree and Travis are about to find out just how small Pole Island actually is during their trips. But they will also find out that maybe only a locked door can be unlocked with some truths.
This is a cute, sweet, funny, romantic, witty, delightful and sexy hot short story. I loved both Bree and Travis as they are great characters separate but when they interact, or try not to as the case may by, it was funny to read. This is another great story by Kate Hunt and in this series.
I loved Travis grand gesture! He risked his job so that Bree would know the contents of his heart. That was wonderful!

With the good comes the bad, it seems. Bree, who writes for a travel magazine and puts in a great deal of time on research and getting the story perfect, is really excited when her editor gives her an assignment on the dreamy tropical Pole Island to do a feature story! It doesn’t get any better than this! At least until she discovers a rival writer, Travis Cox, who spends more time chasing after women than a good story, has the same assignment as she does! And he’s staying at the same hotel . . . AND in an adjoining room! What??? At least Bree is sure of one thing – he’ll get no encouragement or attention from her! But why does she keep running into him everywhere? And it seems to be getting harder to ignore the man! Is he really as bad as she believes?
This is a cute story with a fun story line and likable characters. When you get the misunderstandings out of the way and get to know a person, sometimes they are not what you had first thought. Grab your copy and see if Bree and Travis can figure out some things on this trip!
Nothing but a door.
I loved it.
Travis.
I’m on my way to a tropical island to write a review.
On the plane I see Bree, a fellow travel writer, but she is very cold to me.
I wonder why?
Bree.
He stole my award. Now we’re headed to the same island for work.
I can just ignore him.
Or can I?
Enjoy finding out what happens when we have adjoining rooms.

Two expert travel writers live a life different from most. They get to travel to exotic places all over the world. Too bad they’re enemies. Well, not exactly enemies. Competitors where one won a prestigious prize and the other has a bad reputation. Fun times in the hot sun are in store for these two – or are they? Listening to gossip and misreading things without asking can lead to trouble. Bree and Travis are a cute couple that you’ll be rooting for the happily ever after!
