I just turned the last page on a Luna Lopez’s new book Something Wonderful.
First let me gather my emotions. Ms. Lopez has developed the pattern of twists and turns within her stories taking her readers off guard. This twist had me sobbing with my heart in my throat.
From the beginning I was drawn in by the obvious disconnect between Michelle and her husband. The things Michelle says and does when finally fed up with her lack luster life, had me cracking up. Ms. Lopez has a way with words and adding snarky humor I look forward to reading in each of her books.
This story continues on with a reappearance of Valerie from Where My Heart Lies. Her personality keeps me entertained throughout the book. I hope we get to here from her again soon.
I know why this book is labeled as a lesbian story because two woman have a relationship. But in my eyes, Luna’s stories are about romance. Not gender. They have more gentle love and emotions than I read in a lot of m/f romance. This story is not based upon sex, it’s just a love story that deserves to be read by a lot of readers.
Pick this up as a fabulously written romance book that will bring on some giggles and even the ugly cry we all love to release once in awhile.
An Absolutely Fabulous book!!!
Oh my goodness…..Luna has done it again!! Laughing hysterically one minute, then sobbing uncontrollably the next.
I thought I had an idea as to which way the story was going to go! I was wrong and completely blindsided. The way these words were written were so true to life, they left me an emotional wreck for days after finishing reading.
A poignant perspective on a truly significant life event. I highly recommend you read this book…..with tissues!
Oh Boy was this book so not what I expected. I read this on a flight home and was balling like a baby by 3/4’s of the way in. I absolutely loved this story of Family, love and all the trials and tribulations along the way. I fell in love with Dillon eventually, as he stepped up when he needed too, causing a lump in my throat as his and Michelle’s relationship started to mend. I loved all the characters and the roles they played and was totally thrown off a few times with the story line totally going in a direction that I didn’t see coming. Something Wonderful summed this story up perfectly, I absolutely loved it
Wow!! I went through some emotions with this book that’s for sure! Absolutely Brilliant! A page turner! Brilliant characters! Great storyline!
It had me right from the start, I absolutely loved it.
One minute I was laughing and the next I was crying. I thought this was a very well written, moving, and emotional story which touched my heart.
This isn’t the first book I have read by this author and it won’t be the last, I really enjoy her style of writing, and her ability to make me feel the story which is a must for me
I can highly recommend this book and author.
