It’s hard to avoid anyone in small town Caudal Bay, especially the off-limits love of your life but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try – at least that’s what Emme believes, it’s a pity she’s failing so miserably. The two things that annoy winemaker Emme Smoth most are local publican Gavin Crawley and weddings. So when the town tourism committee sends them to the city to host the local booth at a … them to the city to host the local booth at a Wedding Expo it’s her worst nightmare come to life, especially when there’s a mix up and they have to share a hotel room. It’s not that she doesn’t like Gav it’s just that she has a secret that would break both their hearts.
Gavin is delighted to finally have Emme all to himself so they can finally work out what went wrong between them all those years ago. He even thinks he might be making progress until they get back to Caudal Bay she quits her job and starts making plans to move away leaving the clock ticking for him to show her there’s something real between them.
As Emme focusses on keeping Gav at a distance while being the best reluctant bridesmaid she can for her sister’s wedding Gav races to convince her to stay.in town.
If you believe in second chances, grand crazy romantic gestures and that sometimes love can conquer all then Something to Savour is the sweet, small town romance you’ve been looking for.
The third book in the Jewel Sisters series Something worth Saving can be read as a stand alone novel but the series is best enjoyed in order.

Oh man there were plenty of laughs with this one Emme is all sass and spitfire when it comes to Gavin but once they are stuck together at the Wedding Expo things start to change we find out more of their past as well as that there most certainly is plenty of attraction for one another. Emme not only starts to look Gavin differently but she also finally sees how much she is relied on and taken advantage of at work but there is an amazing surprise of an option for her if she will take the plunge. This was a great read and I love how we get to check in and see how Saffy and Ruby are doing after reading their books, you really do feel like part of the family with them all.
I found this to be a superb storyline that grabs you right from the start keeping you engrossed and on edge throughout the whole book!
Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well. The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting.
Add in drama and sweet romance and you have a good read.
No cliffy, no cheating.

This is a great series and this book by far is my favorite, the storyline draws you in from page one and the chemistry between the characters makes it imposible for you to put your Kindle down. You just want to keep on reading and want to see Emme and Gavin get their HEA
I didn’t particularly like this book. Emme plays the martyr card too much as she needed to saved Gavin so she avoid him for years

Emme was amazing battling cancer, doing what she could to make her sister sure his sister Saffy’s wedding celebration went well, and working tirelessly for a vineyard that didn’t really appreciate her. She’s been in love with Gavin for years and he’s had feelings for her too, but because her cancer made it so she can’t have children she keeps turning him down, thinking that he might choose her and then regret that she can’t give him a family. Gavin was pretty amazing too, working hard to win her over. And her sisters were great too especially Ruby, who gave her a wonderful gift.
Emme and Gavin had a past relationship that did not work out but when their town tourism sends them to a convention and they get stuck in the same room Gavin is excited to maybe try and get her back but Emme knows she has to escape. As soon as they get back she makes the decision to move away but she has to get through her sisters wedding first and Gavin knows the clock is counting and he will do anything to get her to stay.

Actually 3.5 stars; she has written better books than this one.
Something to Savour #3 – This is my first book of the series and I didn’t feel lost. Ms. McDonell has an easy to read writing style, almost as if she’s gossiping. The storylines are interesting. Not all the characters were likeable, but most were and made the reading fun. I don’t think this is one of her best work, and she has many books that are good. I contacted the author to review her books and received this one through Booksprout. 3.5*
Any Way You Series:
A fun, heartwarming, second chance at love, intriguing series that’s just perfect to spend the time reading. Best sequentially, but not necessary.
Any Way You Slice It #1 – Wish I could have read these books in order, but it doesn’t matter. A well thought out romance with realistic dialog and characters and an interesting, entertaining plot. Any more would be spoilers. This series is more substantial than a lot of this genre.
Any Way You Fight It #3 – Second chance at love. Another well written, funny romance with interesting characters and an entertaining plot. I can’t say more or it would be spoilers. I enjoyed reading this series.
Any Way You Want It #5 – If you enjoy S. Claflin and T. Pedersen, you’ll love McDonell, too! It’s the first chapter and you’re already laughing and rootin’ for the good guys. A well written, fun-filled romance, this time with Chloe and Moose. My second story by this author and now I want to read them all. Moose is my favorite male character.
Any Way You Build It #6 – A well-written, fun, exciting, clean romance. I had to finish it in two sittings; work, a four-letter word, interrupted me. It was complete, but I believe there’s more to the story. This is the first story I’ve read by this author, but I’ve got another one ready to go from Amazon. I asked the author if I could review this book.
Any Way You Spin It #7 – Another second chance. Another well written, heartwarming romance with interesting characters and a realistic plot. None of these books are repeats, but interesting, fun books on their own, just a piece of a larger picture.
Any Way You Like It #8 – Another heartwarming, humorous, intriguing second chance romance in one of my favorite places with some of my favorite characters. This complete series is well written with well developed characters with realistic dialog and no stupid formulas, along with interesting and intriguing storylines. While complete with humor and bad guys, these books are substantial pieces, not fluffy junk. This is my second favorite, which is actually hard to decide on since all the books are favorites! There’s also a preview of the book, Something of a Spark.
Any Way You Series end.
An emotional romance of a cancer survivor making difficult decisions about love.
