Preorder the third installment of the best selling series today The moment everything changed didn’t happen in that cliché rockets-red-glare kind of way, it happened in the form of a waking nightmare. I caught my husband, my high-school sweetheart, the father of my children, balls deep in a sordid affair. That was when I gave up on men and love. I didn’t count on the NHL’s golden boy, the … NHL’s golden boy, the beautiful, arrogant Cooper Stone turning my life and my hockey rink upside down.
My kids are why I wake up in the morning.
Hockey is what Cooper breathes for.
We’re from different worlds and places in our lives but when our hearts collided something so wrong and different turned into something so right.

This would be an excellent book if it wasn’t for all the unnecessary smut thrown in. Yes there’s a difference between smut and steam. Page after page of F bombs and detailed vulgarity made a good book cringeworthy.
The premise was good with a single mother rebuilding a life because her ‘forever’ ended up being temporary… Then we have a single, professional hockey player getting schooled in real life and family on and off the ice. There were things really good about the book but I had to keep leafing through and skip page after page to get to a small bit of the real storyline. The book was 255 pages and I’m betting the real book only was half that size and most likely less. I list likes, dislikes and wishes below. The WISHES listed at the bottom easily could have been added to the book in place of all the detailed pages of unneeded, explicit and graphic bedroom talk and scenes.
LIKES:
Single mother in her 30s turns life around after catching her high school sweetheart/husband cheating. She’s an excellent mother and refuses to let her children get hurt, wanting them to feel loved by both parents (almost too much).
Well known hockey star meets his match on and off the court. His arrogance and self-centeredness drop to the wayside when he learns what ‘family’ is and feels like. Also like his protectiveness, even though it’s a bit much sometimes.
Cheating ex sees just what and who he tossed in the trash AFTER it’s too late. He gave up his wife and children all for a ‘strumpet’ and NOW he ‘sees the light’. He got his just dues.
How Cooper, was able to make Parker’s world right again in more ways than one. He showed her she was so much more. Loved the line where Cooper told the ex-hubby that he knew the difference between Gold and Brass. (If you’re reading this, it’s the restaurant scene. …also Cooper is the hockey star and Parker is the ex-wife.)
Loved the children… Matthew was protective of his mother and Allison was adorable.
DISLIKES:
Hardly a sentence goes by without the F bomb spewed out one way or another.
The real storyline only could be found sporadically between page after page of pre, during or after bedroom gymnastics…. and not only in the bedroom.
The constant reminding her children to watch their language when her mouth was as dirty as anything when not around the children. Rather hypocritical… she practiced the ‘Do as I say, not as I do’ style of parenting.
Seemed like the book played ‘lust’ as ‘love’…. there’s a big difference. Finally, at the very end, we saw it looking more like love than lust. However, falling in lust with someone is not falling in love.
WHY should the children show respect to the ‘other woman’? She knew their dad was married when starting their affair. Call a spade a spade. She was just as wrong for her role as their dad was in his role in the infidelity.
WISHES:
Would have loved to see more of James’ remorse. Simple ‘I’m Sorries’ just don’t show us his mind, thoughts or essence… Need to see and feel him learning the difference between brass and gold, and that he settled for brass when he had gold all along.
hate when people call making a bad choice, a mistake. Mistakes are not knowing or being unaware. Choices are people knowing what they are doing. Cheating is never a mistake, it’s always a choice. There’s nothing accidental about making bad or wrong choices… it’s a decision made, not a mistake.
need to see James realize the harm he caused his children, especially his teenage son, Matthew.
would love for Matthew to tell his dad the painful details of his mother’s suffering and what he really thought of Tiffany (the marriage/family destroyer).
wish the mom would not have tried to excuse the cheating husband by saying they probably wouldn’t have made it anyway. The husband being inattentive to her needs as a lover, protector and father was on him… not her.
when Parker finally told James he broke her, she needed to detail exactly what she saw and how he NEVER gave her the kind of attention or devotion he gave his mistress. Her cheating ex husband got by way to easy. He needed to feel the pain he was responsible for and caused. It’s as if he’s too shallow or self absorbed to realize how traumatic that ‘day’ was for her as well as the two years that follow.
surely James didn’t go back to Tiffany, let alone marry her, after he knew he wanted his family back???? We don’t know, we’re never told. We also never know how he relates to Tiffany now that he realizes he wants his wife and children back.
I took three stars away since the story was incomplete when it substituted unnecessary vulgarity for what needed to be in the real storyline.
I apparently love this book
Absolutely love Parker and her befriend. I laughed and cried. It’s very emotional when Matthew gets involved in the story. Hot and heavy and beautifully written. Love that Cooper doesn’t give up. He is an alpha male. Instant attraction.
I voluntarily reviewed this advance reader copy of this book.
What a great story to read. Well written with great story building. Hot steamy sex that I enjoyed imagining.
Loved the idea of this story, but unfortunately, it just didn’t work for me. I didn’t connect with the characters and TBH, they were unlikable. 🙁
Sadly, I feel the same way as many of the other 1-star reviews.
I listened to the audiobook and wasn’t a fan of the narration.
COOPER
Mr. Alpha, Hockey god has met his match when he goes to rehab over his break with Parker. I loved how Parker called him out and how strong and sassy she was. Cooper was a caveman and I loved every minute.
Something So Right is a contemporary sport theme romance by Natasha Madison. This book is written in first-person format, not my favorite, but not horrible in this book. After his leg injury Cooper needs to get back on the ice and train. Parker is divorced with two kids, owns the local skating rink, is older than Cooper and she and Cooper get off to a rocky start. Parker and Cooper’s story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle and just a tiny bit of suspense. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more from Natasha Madison in the future. Something So Right is book 1 of the Something So Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read a complimentary copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
There where definitely some editing issues in the book and they could be a bit distracting at times and as I am writing this review after finishing all the books in this series you can tell this was a debut. That being said it was a good story with some cool characters and there was enough there to get me to read the rest of the books. Cooper is definitely an alpha who sets his sights on sassy single mom Parker. It’s kind of a whirlwind from there but there is definitely a happily ever after.
This book was sent as a freebie from another author and it sounded like the perfect story for my mood. I have heard great things about the author but this is the first one of her books I’ve read and I am a fan.
I adore the whole growling, possessive alpha hero and Cooper was all that and a little more. From the start he told Parker what he wanted and never let her doubt it. I loved how he reacted to her having kids but I was even happier with how he treated them and loved them.
Parker had me from the first page. She was so grown up and mature. And the way she handled everything her ex-husband put her through was pure class. Her attitude towards Cooper and all his macho bossiness was great value. And once she committed to it she had no doubts.
The background characters were really likable and the kids were perfect for their ages. Now I am off to find out what’s next from this author.
I have jumped around reading the Something So series and missed some of the earlier books and then read all the books in the spin-off, This Is series, by Natasha Madison. So, I decided to go back and start at the beginning by listening to Something So Right, book 1, narrated by Joe Hempel and Melissa Moran, who truly brought the characters to life. I loved Parker and Cooper so much and it was great reading how they found each other.
Parker thought she was leading her best life. Then she finds her high school sweetheart, her husband and the father of her children in bed with another woman. Now her only focus is her children and running their family hockey program and rink. Which is how she meets the younger, sexy and charming Cooper Stone. She hates him on sight, right? But she is going to help him rehabilitate for the sake of her business. But the more time they spend together, the harder she falls. Can she be what he truly wants?
Cooper was a total protective and possessive man, but that was because he cared. I loved seeing him with Parker and her children. He was honest, determined and caring, if a bit demanding. Parker was sweet and kind, but also vulnerable and mistrusting after what happened with her ex. Could she learn how to trust him and believe in love again? Something So Right by Natasha Madison was full of steamy chemistry and about second chances. I loved listening to it!
Listened and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy listening!
I’m late to the party with this series due to it being released in 2016 but, hot damn!, it’s one series I will definitely be following.
Cooper Stone is all kinds of hot, he’s bossy, demanding and gets what he wants, he’s the golden boy of hockey.
Sydney is a single mum who has been burned before in a relationship after she discovered her husband had been cheating on her. Sydney is an independent woman who works at the ice rink her dad owns.
Sydney and Cooper first meet when she is his rehab trainer following an injury. The fireworks go off when they first meet but not in a good way, Sydney is not the kind of woman who will take being told what to do.
There is instant chemistry between the two and it’s explosive. Cooper is hot, possessive and swoon-worthy at the same time.
SOMETHING SO RIGHT is a sizzling hot read, these two are seriously magnetic to each other and I love it.
If you love bossy alpha hero’s, lots of sexy times and a good plot then this is for you.
I listened to this on audio and it was brilliantly narrated so those hot scenes, damn, *fans self down
I’m usually not a big fan of Sports romances, especially hockey. The sport has never interested me much and usually I just find them to be boring or too focused on the sport and less on the couple. Well let me just say Natasha has been a very pleasant surprise!
Parker is a divorced mother of 2, her older son Matthew and her little girl Allison. Parker runs a hockey rink and has recently started helping rehabilitating hockey star Cooper Stone when he has a problem with one of his knees. These two most definitely are not in love at first sight! Their first meeting is hilarious and will have you immediately laughing out loud it seems as if Cooper Stone may have met his match.
Cooper Stone is focused on his hockey career and getting back in the game without his injury keeping him down. While they may not have started out on the right foot the chemistry between these two is undeniable. Parker is determined to put her kids first and while Cooper knows she’s basically a single mother nothing is going to stop him from getting what he wants. He’s determined to show her what a real man is and that he’s there for the long haul, kids included. Cooper is more than happy to step in and show Matthew just what a real man looks like and that he’s there to take care of his mom and is more than ready to make little Allison feel like a princess and hopefully make their family complete.
This book was a very welcome surprise, it’s full of heartwarming moments, lots of steamy ones and maybe even a few that may have you reaching for the tissues! I loved it and can’t wait to see what’s next.

The characters were well developed with a steamy love relationship and of course a happy ending. It kept me turning the pages. Now I’m planning on reading the rest of the series
Something so Sexy!
I wasn’t sure about Cooper Stone at first, he was a little more Alpha than I like, but darn if he didn’t worm his way into my heart! I loved the way he melted for Parker, Allison and Matthew, claiming them as his own. Swoon city! This is a new author for me, but I’m diving right back in and listening to more of her audio books! Narration was lovely!
SOMETHING SO RIGHT
Parker Moore and Cooper Stone are a match made in heaven…She’s a little older, divorced, with 2 kids and a business owner…He’s an NHL pro and not thinking of settling down…..then he needs training rehab for a hockey injury, and Parker is his trainer…..This is a hot book….I loved it…
Something So Right (Something So Book 1)
by Natasha Madison 4 Stars
******** May Contain Some Spoilers ********
I have purchased the complete “Something So” series. I decided to write a review for each book in the series. So here is my review for: Something So Right (Something So Book 1) by: Natasha Madison
This book just a simple steamy love story. Parker is an absolutely amazing woman/mom. Her husband is a total douche.
Fast forward two years and Parker is a single mom. She rocks it! She gets a new client that is a NHL star. Cooper is an a**hole at the beginning. Cooper is a complicated man and he screws up a lot with Parker. Cooper is absolutely amazing with her kids Matthew and Allison. Parker and Cooper have some bumps in the road they have to over come. This is definitely a HEA book!
•••••• I highly recommend this book/series! ******
Amazing sports romance and a great sample of Natasha Madison’s writing! I really like the characters and the story.
One of the best stories I’ve read lately. I love to laugh with and at some of the characters. He was a real prick the first day. But she didn’t take his crap. Love this couple.
Great read
Nice story
