Matthew Drafted first round pick when I was seventeen, playing first line at eighteen, branded NHL’s bad boy at nineteen. At twenty-three I was cut from the team and living back home with my parents. A knock on the door brought an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. All I had to do was prove I learned from my mistakes, so no way would I fall for a chick with a pouty mouth even if I wanted to spend … pouty mouth even if I wanted to spend all day devouring it.
Karrie
When my father gave me a job, I had no idea it would be to babysit some washed up NHL player. He wanted me to be his chaperone, his overpaid babysitter. I thought it was a joke. Then I met him, Matthew Grant. I wasn’t prepared for this particular bad boy. He’s not only hot but he’s arrogant and kinda sweet in a ‘you make me crazy’ kind of way.
Basically now that he’s finished screwing up his life, he’s decided to turn mine upside down.
She’s the first thing I’ve ever wanted more than hockey.
He’s the guy I know I should stay away from.
But what if this thing that started out so wrong turns into something so perfect?

SOMETHING SO PERFECT is the second book in the series.
If you have read the first book in the series you will know Matthew is the son of Sydney, a single mum who fell in love with Cooper Stone the hot star Hockey Player, a brilliant start to this series and I was hooked by its hotness and drama.
This book is obviously years later, Matthew is no longer a teenager and has had his own taste of hockey player stardom which changed him from the sweet loving boy to a wild party going hockey star which then had effects on his game, leaving Matthew without a team to play for.
When he gets offered a position at a team it comes with conditions and one of them is he has to have a chaperone to keep him out of trouble. This is Matthew’s big chance to make a good impression and leave his partying days behind him.
Karrie is the boss’s daughter, given the task to keep an eye on Matthew. There is instant chemistry and fireworks between her and Matthew, Karrie is sassy and won’t be bossed around and she is a good match for the bratty star hockey player.
I loved it, SOMETHING SO PERFECT had a good balance of hotness, drama and swoon-worthy moments. Matthew is just as protective and overbearing alpha as Cooper was, it seemed his step-father rubbed off on him.
Cooper and Sydney are also in this book along with other characters who also get their own books in this series.
I’m still hooked and looking forward to reading more in this series.
Each book can be read as a standalone, I listened to this in audio and it was brilliantly narrated, I would recommend it as either being read or listened too
In the first book (Something So Right) Matthew was still a young teenager, he was picked up at 17 in the first round of a draft pick to play hockey, it seemed like he had it all. Well in those first few years he made a lot of mistakes, got cut from the team and basically had to go home with his tail tucked between his legs. Matthew now is a few years older has learned a lot and is ready to put his mistakes behind him and move forward and start fresh in New York what he wasn’t expecting is Karrie.
Karrie is given a job basically babysitting reformed bad boy Matthew. For him it’s basically love at first sight he’s ready to make Karrie his and isn’t willing to take no for an answer. Being forced to live together for Karrie may not be ideal but she’s determined to do her job, and keep an eye on Matthew and keep him out of her bed, too bad he has other ideas!
Matthew is simply hilarious and he’s has most definitely met his match in pretty much every way and is ready to make Karrie see just how good they can be together, even if they’ve just met. Matthew and Karrie’s book had me laughing out loud so much, plenty of scenes that made me blush and plenty of heartwarming moments in there too!
I loved this book and I can’t wait to see what big brother Matthew does as his baby sister finds love in Something So Irresistible the third book in this series!

It took a hot minute to get used to Matthew Grant as a leading man after reading about him being a punk teenager in Something so Right, but once I got over myself I ended up loving this book! Matthew and Karrie were fun and sexy! Seeing Karrie give alpha Matthew a run for his money was hilarious!
Melissa Moran and Joe Hempel were great as Karrie and Matthew! Melissa showing all the exasperation at Matthew’s over the top behavior, and Joe as the clueless Matthew was hilarious!
Something So Perfect (Something So Book 2)
by Natasha Madison 4 Stars
******** May Contain Some Spoilers ********
I have purchased the complete “Something So” series. I decided to write a review for each book in the series. So here is my review for: Something So Perfect (Something So Book 2) by: Natasha Madison.
This is the steamy/rocky love story between Matthew and Karrie. Matthew is Parker’s son and Cooper’s stepson from book 1. Karrie is the daughter of the team owner. Karrie is hired by the team to keep Matthew in-line so there is no more bad boy. Things are going well, then the problems start. Matthew and Karrie have some serious problems to deal with before they get their HEA.
•••••• I highly recommend this book/series! ••••••
Well, I laughed and cried. Great story. I was thinking “Max”I pad was behind the rape charge. He’s like a period….everyone hates him. But oh my gosh! !!!!!! The ending, what the hell? Got to read on.
Love all of her books
OMG, I really loved this book! I mean, there were a few aspects I’d get rid of, but whatever, I really enjoyed it!
But after this epilogue, I need to know what’s up with the next book!
*4,5 amazing stars!! *
This is my second read from this author and every time she makes me laugh with the stories she comes up with. It was a fun, sexy and sweet read with two lead characters that just steal your heart away. I loved Matthew’s character and Karrie was such a strong woman that you could relate to. Together they were such an adorable but sassy duo 🙂 Definitely worth the read! On a side note, I really hope we will get Vivienne’s story too!
Matthew has been through a rough time but needs to get his act together. He gets another chance at a new hockey team and takes it with both hands. But there’s a catch, he has to have a chaperone with him at all times. When he sees who it is, he’ll do whatever it takes to win her over…
Karrie never thought she would have to chaperone the hottest guy she has ever seen but is an ass every time he opens his mouth but the more she gets the know him, she falls a bit more. Every step step of the way, they get closer but the road ahead doesn’t get easier…
It’s something alright!!!!
I am trying not laugh my butt off at that ending. Matthew Grant is well known to those who have read book one in the series. For all the newbies, it won’t change your enjoyment but you do miss out on a great story. newbie
These men fall hard and fast. First Cooper and now Matt. (Oh and a sneaky visit from a “Tempt”ing Boss) Something So Perfect is a sweet Insta tale. Workplace romance has nothing on this. How often does a person fall for their charge? I mean she babysits an adult NFL player…It’s not exactly taboo. Unless you factor in the whole workplace situation, then it might be an issue…
Throw in some crazy @ss accusations and you have a whole heap of It’s something alright!!!!

Believable action packed hocked with steamy romance – part of a great series!
Matthew and Karrie
Another amazing read. To have a 5 Star read is amazing to have three in a row are you kidding me. I love this series. Matthew reminds me so much of his dad Cooper gee do not tell this boy No ever, he really doesn’t like it and he never listens anyways. Karrie is hilarious with him and the mumbling under her breath is adorable. They are meant to be these two.

I love this series.

This book is perfect, funny and sexy! I loved every minute it of it. Natasha Madison is a genius at creating humorous and sexy characters that develop into a great story. I adored Matthew and Karrie. Matthew is the perfect alpha male character for me, he doesn’t miss a beat and goes after what he wants. Karrie is feisty, charming and a great match for Matthew’s personality. Natasha Madison never disappoints and I always look forward to each and every one of her books. This a definite five star read!!
Oh…Matthew. Matthew. Matthew. You have captured my heart and I can’t seem to break away from you. It’s already been two whole days since I finished your story and I cannot stop thinking about you. Right from the start I was hooked in by his lovable charm and confident swagger. You’ve worked hard to prove that you have changed and my heart melts for you.
Awe. This story was such a sensational story and I could hardly put it down. I mean seriously I literally binge read this entire book in one sitting because the second I started it I knew that I needed to find out everything about Matthew and Karrie, especially after that shock-worthy prologue. How could you do that to use Natasha Madison. How could you make you make your readers wait until three-forths of the way through to find out what actually happened. I am totally joking by the way but wow…just WOW! I never wanted this story to end and was so glad you extended it a little by giving us not one but two…yes you heard me…TWO epilogues!
While there is so much more that I want to say about this story I will just leave you with this… GO and ONE CLICK this story today and fall in love with Matthew as much as I did. Trust me he will certainly become your newest book boyfriend!
This was the first book in the series which I realize I read out of order. However, they are all stand-alone. I loved Matthew, our H, who had hit rock bottom in hockey and was determined to prove everyone wrong. He meets the h, Karrie, who is to be his chaperone and from day 1 he approaches her with the same single-mindedness as hockey. He wants her and for the long term. She is not as experienced so her discovery of her own sexuality with him leading the way was very steamy. It was also quite romantic since he never wavered in his desire to be with her long term. He had a great family role model and made the story more believable in his desire for long term commitment. I intend to read the other stories as well.
Don’t let the 4 stars fool you. This is a good book. I loved the humor that is in the book. I loved the storyline. I loved both Matthew and Karrie. The chemistry is off the charts. So, why the 4 stars? It has to do with some of the format of the book. There would be a setting change inside a paragraph. That sort of bothered me, but it may not other people. I also felt like some of the issues weren’t exactly solved, but then you get to the 2nd epilogue and you say…ok..that solved a bit of it. This is part of a series. This is book 2. We first saw Matthew in book 1, which was about his mother. Now, he’s all grown up. Dual point of view. Sort of a cliffhanger, but not with Karrie and Matthew.
Something So Perfect was a nice, funny and hot read.
I’ve read every story written by Natasha Madison since her debut and I’ve liked every single one of them and this is no exception.
I’ve enjoyed it and I’ve “oohed” and “aahed” everytime an old Madison’s character makes an appearance.
Matthew is at times too intense and extreme in his actions but he is a good guy at heart,he is only scared to lose the people he cares for. Karrie is so feisty and I liked how she tries to stand up to our hero, starting some epic banters and sexy scenes.
I loved the epilogue and can’t wait to read the next installment in this series.
I absolutely love Natasha Madison, so when this landed in my kindle I couldn’t pick it up quick enough, because after all Natasha writes perfection.
And Something So Perfect….Yep you got it…Absolute perfection.
We meet Matthew.
He’s been at the top.
Number one hockey player.
But with that came partying, booze and women.
Living the dream at the top.
But it all crumbled.
Too much partying.
Too much booze.
Too many women.
The only place Matthew had to go was rock bottom.
And that’s where he ended up.
So the chance to play the sport he loves, for one year, contracted of course lands in his lap.
Matthew wants it.
This is his chance to climb back to the top.
But it comes with a condition.
A chaperone.
The chaperone with stay with him, attend all games, make sure Matthew stays in line.
Easy, right?
Wrong……
Because Matthews chaperone is the ultimate temptation.
She’s stunning, sassy and all things beautiful.
She’s everything Matthew needs to stay away from.
But to play hockey, he has to suck it up.
God help him…..Because Karrie is coming.
Welcome to Matthew and Karries world.
Guys what a read. Loved, loved, loved it.
Action packed and sinfully delicious.
Fun-loving, humorous, at times downright hilarious.
Heart-breaking, heart-warming, raw and pure.
It was everything any reader could ask for and so much more.
I instantly fell in love with Matthew. So self assured, but his vulnerability was heart melting.
Karrie. What a firecracker. Smart, sassy and simply beautiful.
Put these two together….Explosive is what you get.
I cannot recommend this novel high enough.
Natasha Madison, you have done it again.
Just brilliant.
5 stars.
10 stars for Matthew aka Caveman extreme
Matthew is to die for, Like I was SWOONing so Hard for him, He was a total caveman and their was a couple of times I thought he was over the top, but he made up for it each and every time. He is so freaking caring and ugh just everything.
Natasha Madison is so amazing at making these characters feel so real that you laugh and go through every single emotion that they feel. I loved Karrie, she had so much sass, and went toe to toe with his caveman ways. I could so feel these two character chemistry , it was sizzling . This book has everything that I love, An Alpha Hockey Player with a dirty mouth, but can back it up, and he wasn’t afraid to show his feeling and act on them. It had his family that is all up in his business but in a good way. The heroine Karrie who was fighting her feelings until Matthew showed her the way. This story was absolutely Something so Perfect.
Honest to goodness this book is Something So Perfect, hands down top 2 of my favorite reads of 2017. Something So Perfect is absolutely hilarious, knock your panties off sexy, and just so raw, it will almost leave you chaffed. This is my second book from Natasha that I have read, and her writing just blows my mind each time I read one of her books. She puts just enough back ground info into her characters without it being too much or too little. She doesn’t rush through scenes. She sneaks the plot in without it it being too much, she doesn’t let it drag on forever like most authors tend to do, Also, she has one hell of a way to make you laugh so hard you almost pee your pants. And I absolutely adored how she weaved the title into the book. It’s the little things people, the little things that make the biggest impression, and she did that. I loved this book so hard.
Matthew was drafted first over all at the age of seventeen. Playing the line at 18. and became known NHL’s badboy not soon after. He got knocked down to the farm 3 years later. Every summer he would fly home to practice with his step-father Cooper Stone who is known as the best person to ever skate, to play hockey, but as soon as his plane would land back in L.A, he was back to the booze and women. Another three years later, he was put on wavers, and when no one picked him up, he packed up his things and went home, where he would play charity games until the GM of New York Stingers came knocking with an offer, that came with certain stipulations, that he just can not pass up if he wants to ever play hockey again. Matthew loves his family dearly, and wants to make his family proud of him. He will do anything to make them happy. He is very close with his family. He is a flawed character who dealt with his emotions the wrong way. But wants to redeem himself in the worst way. He is protective, and possessive and loyal to those he loves, but also vulnerable in the sweetest way, and when he wants something, he stops at nothing to get it.
“You can fall in love with your whole heart and everything will fall into place. Fight for what you want, but most of all love is a gift and once it is given cherish it.”
