Matthew Drafted first round pick when I was seventeen, playing first line at eighteen, branded NHL’s bad boy at nineteen. At twenty-three I was cut from the team and living back home with my parents. A knock on the door brought an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. All I had to do was prove I learned from my mistakes, so no way would I fall for a chick with a pouty mouth even if I wanted to spend … pouty mouth even if I wanted to spend all day devouring it.
Karrie
When my father gave me a job, I had no idea it would be to babysit some washed up NHL player. He wanted me to be his chaperone, his overpaid babysitter. I thought it was a joke. Then I met him, Matthew Grant. I wasn’t prepared for this particular bad boy. He’s not only hot but he’s arrogant and kinda sweet in a ‘you make me crazy’ kind of way.
Basically now that he’s finished screwing up his life, he’s decided to turn mine upside down.
She’s the first thing I’ve ever wanted more than hockey.
He’s the guy I know I should stay away from.
But what if this thing that started out so wrong turns into something so perfect?

Hahaha this book was hysterical. Karrie and Matthew were on fire. They had instant attraction from moment one. But their banter and back and forth hate you love you jokes were so funny. She was his baby sitter. And he was gone from the moment he laid eyes on her. Wow so many ups and downs. Which we got more into the issue he with Matthew and max. And the false accusations. But loved how everyone rallied. Karrie standing her ground and telling her father was priceless. So awesome. Loved the book. Can’t wait for Max’s.
Second book in the series and it literally got better. Absolutely love Matthew and Karrie. This book is just as funny and hot as book one. Love their bond, the banter, their family relationship. It’s truly written beautifully. He’s a hockey revivid bad boy and she’s his chaperone. A fast pace must read.
I have to say this wasn’t my favourite read. I found Matthew to be controlling and obsessive. Karrie is meant to be a strong “make things happen for myself” type of person, but she came across as a bit of a marshmallow – very malleable. A large portion of the story is sex, which as we know is good for a relationship but not everything.
I highly recommend this book and the entire series!
FLOVED
Each book just keep getting better and better – I absolutely loved Matthew and Karrie’s story. They were perfect for each other
Matthew drafted first round pick when he was 17, played first line at 18, and branded NHL’s bad boy at 19. At 23, he was cut from the team and living back home with his parents. An opportunity came, and all he had to do was prove he learned from his mistakes. There is no way he would fall for Karrie, a chick with a pouty mouth even if he wanted to devour it. Karrie’s father gave her a job, but she had no idea it was to a chaperone and overpaid babysitter to a washed up NHL player, Matthew. Matthew was not what she expected. He is hot, arrogant and sweet in a make me crazy kind of way. He screwed up his life, and she feels he has decided to turn hers upside down. She is the first thing he has ever wanted more than hockey. – This is a good romance. I was surprised at some of Matthew’s actions. He is a good man who made some bad decisions when he was younger. I liked that his family was so supportive. Karrie, her dad and best friend Vivienne are great I enjoyed the book and the epilogue.
The story line of “Something So Perfect” (nook) was good. The deep love between Karrie and Matthew was heartwarming.
Near the beginning of the book, there were times when Karrie went from acting very naïve to very worldly. Her lack of sexual experience should indicate that she was more naïve but she certainly spoke as if she was experienced.
I like steamy romances yet I am old-fashioned and would have preferred less eroticism. And less swearing. The overview did not mention erotic.
OMG! AWESOME READ! The banter back and forth between some of the characters in this story had me laughing so hard I thought I would pee my pants. Can’t wait to read this author again!
Loved it!!!
Enjoyed this book but found some inconsistencies that really bothered me. For one, 6 years olds do not talk baby talk. Needs some editing. But otherwise, really enjoyed this book.
Sophomoric
Very immature writing. Silly.
Insta attraction. Insta love. Second base, third base talk like middle schoolers. Nothing deep. Drama, Love, baby, marriage.
Waste of time
Great book
Love this book.
Do not miss out on this book! It was not the “same old same old” plot you may anticipate. I enjoyed it immensely! A unique approach for sure!
Instalove is just not my thing.
Love this book, great storyline, although not original, but I love the cocky playboy athlete reformed for love stories
3.75 stars….
This was a really cute follow up to Ms. Madison’s debut Something So Right.
This time the focus is on Matthew (Parker’s son in book 1). Matthew went wild when he turned pro at 17, but all of his issues were pretty typical for a young man with too much money and freedom. Fast forward a couple of years and we see him getting a second chance when Karri enters his life.
If you enjoyed Something So Right, you will definitely enjoy this one too. Matthew is a chip off of Cooper’s block and it was awesome to see Karri knock him on his ear! He is definitely a caveman, but his antics with Karri are as cute as they are overbearing. I loved that she’d stand up to him and for him.
The only thing that bothered me was that the Matthew/Karri relationship seemed to be a forgone conclusion. Yes, they had an instant connection, but he didn’t have to really work to win her. I was glad to see the physical part of their relationship move more at Karri’s pace than Matthew’s, but there were times when I wondered if it was what Karri really wanted.
Something So Perfect is well written and fun. It’s a little lighter than the prologue implies, so don’t be scared off by the initial angst. This is a great read for someone looking for an Alpha/reformed bad boy hero and a sassy heroine.
Loved this steamy romance, I loved the happy ending and the characters. I did not want to put it down once I started reading it
Matthew is all grown up and has hit his rock bottom. After being drafted 1st round in the NHL draft at only 17 and quickly rising to star Matthew let success and fame get to his head and now only 2 years later he is back home hoping for another shot at doing what he loves which he gets only with a stipulation. He must have a chaperone if he wants his chance. His chaperone comes in the form of Kallie the daughter of the teams owner. Sparks fly and Matthew’s alpha ways come out as he claims Kallie as his own. It’s a cute story. You definitely see Cooper’s influence on Matthew.
Well I am officially a Natasha Madison fan. Where do I line up to get my badge and membership card? I got Something So Right free from another authors newsletter and it sounded fun so I read it. Then I checked out the next book in the series to see it was Matthew all grown up into the bad boy of hockey. So obviously I one clicked it and it was even better than the first one.
And I really expected this to be all about Matthew for me but I loved Karrie. She was so secure in herself and I enjoyed watching her fight against Matthews over protective alphaness. And her rants to herself whenever he would annoy her with it.
But I would be lying if I didn’t say Matthew was everything I hoped for and a little more. I was a little nervous that his bad boy reputation was going to roll over into the present and cause issues. So I was one happy little moo shoo when I realised almost immediately that we were meeting with the Matthew who had learnt from his past and grown up.
The chemistry was scorching and the banter had me smiling like an idiot the whole time I was reading. I was so wrapped up in everything I didn’t put it down and I am going straight off to see what the hell is going on in the next book because leaving us with that teaser for Allison and Max is just killing me.
