Four hundred years ago Ishkur, god of fire, married a human female who inevitably ascended to the overworld. He’s long since come to grips with his loss, but taking an unwanted trip to Plimoth Plantation, facing a world so similar to the one where he’d been happy, will certainly rub salt in old wounds. When he steps foot in the village, however, it isn’t sadness that grabs him, it’s anxiety after … after meeting a god-talking, native woman. What the hell? Every one of his immortal-senses claws at his spine and urges him to flee. Too bad running isn’t an option for a god.
Koni knows danger, and it’s found her where she works. She’s not sure if it comes from her ex-boyfriend, or the powerful stranger who takes her by surprise one night after the plantation has closed. Only one thing is certain. Those two threats―compounded by the spirit walkers she’s discovered in the woods―make it way past time to pack up and get the hell out of town. She just needs to outmaneuver the lunatic who seems determined to claim her.

Ishkur…….sigh. I wanted this story so badly but then I got it and was like no! If I read it it’s one book closer to the end! I’m so not ready for book 13 but back to Ishkur……who doesn’t love a man, a God who stays with his human wife for 25 years and loves her the whole time? Who still remembers and loves her hundreds of years later? Doesn’t hurt it made him age a bit more, he’s my silver fox!
This one had me all emotional, yelling out loud and just in general lost in their world……what I wouldn’t give to be there, lol!!
This is one of the all time best series I have ever read, and I read A LOT! Never knew Mesopotamian Gods could be so hot, such fun to get to know and just plain awesome.
I’m ready for book 13, not really, bet I cry.
THE AMAZING GODS ARE BAAAAACK AND BETTER THAN EVER! This time We are getting Ishkur’s story and WOWZA, it is EXHILARATING AND EXPLOSIVELY GOOD! This book was utter chaos and delicious madness…the BEST kind that is. Exciting, unique, sexy and full of danger, suspense, scorching hot chemistry and ALL sorts of awesomeness and twists.
Koni and Ishkur’s romance was addicting and almost impossible to put down. I was entranced with this book from the moment I started it to the very end. I loved the many surprises, twists, and feels and Ishkur is one satisfying hero. Sexy, alpha, powerful and Koni is a wonderful mix of beauty, smarts, spunk and a bit of vulnerability that makes her likable. Their story is impossible to dislike. Its full of amazing passion and wild adventure and unexpected twists that keep a reader like me guessing and wanting more. I LOVED THAT!
Something Old gets a EXHILARATING FIVE AMAZING STARS!
Another GREAT book in the series !! Ishkur is the only God who married a non immortal and had a child way back when. His heart still hurts for his wife who has since passed on to the overworld so he’s not %100 about finding his chosen but he will do what he has to do. Koni is in hiding and after talking to ishkur thinks he is there to kidnap her because her ex betrayed her months ago. Ishkur thinking she knows what he is and why he’s there goes home all excited. After replaying their conversation back with everyone else he realizes she has no clue what he is and sure enough she flees. Ridhwan makes his unwanted appearance and causes trouble.
This story has so much in it, action, some Extream PDA fun on a rollercoaster, another wonderful birth, lots of love.
It’s just as good as you would expect the book to be if you are following the series.
The only depressing part of the book is there is only 1 more .

Immortals Book 13
Oh, those lovely Mesopotamian Gods are back again!
I hope you are all following along so far because this is one series you definitely don’t want to
miss out on.
Just to kind of catch you up in case you don’t know.
Thirteen Mesopotamian Gods were sent to watch over and protect mankind. Because of the way
they loved life they had a bit of fun along the way. Long story short, they were set up and
sentenced to live eternity invisible to all. Unable to feel anything, no touching, tasting or just
enjoying what life had to offer. The only way they could break the curse was one of two ways,
they could find their chosen (soulmates), or someone who shares their bloodlines.
Once they found this person they could be corporal once again (as long as they were within a
certain distance from their family member). Once they find their chosen though, they could be
visible permanentaly as long as they can convince their chosen to take a chance on them. Oh and
they are working on a deadline so they need to hurry. Sounds a bit crazy huh? Well it is and a
whole lotta fun watching the big bad Gods taken down by their little ole mates.
OKAY NOW
This is the story of Ishkur the God of Fire and Rain. His story is a bit different from the other
Gods because unlike them, he was able to keep his bodylonger because he had taken a wife in the
past. Once his wife had passed and his daughter started her own family he was then sent to join
the other Gods to carry out his punishment.
While exploring the past at a town that does re enactments of the town the Gods lived in, Ishkur
begins remembering his life with his wife Phoebe and daughter Pearl. While reminising he
realizes he has become corporal. Thinking his family members are close he doesn’t realize his
chosen is actually close by (yet).
Only when his adorable grand daugher Maity (who can communicate with the Gods), makes him
realize that his chosen is actually real he decides to go back to the little town to find her.
Koni has been on the run and has been hiding at the little town working as a native. She has a
special talent, one that put her in danger from an ex boyfriend who wants to hurt her.
When Ishkur finds her he mistakes her understanding who he is for what she actually feels. She
thinks he was sent to find her and return her to her ex. SO she runs, but the Gods and Goddesses
have a way of finding her though. An adorable tiny card up their sleeves.
Along the way Koni and another chosen (Lahars pregnant wife) are kidnapped.
It is going to take all the Gods and Goddesses along with some help from many others, some blue
guys, human friends and even the King and Queen of the underworld to find them.
This series is absolutely one of the best series I have read in a long time. There is so much
happening in this book and I hate giving spoilers so…..grab a copy and follow along with some of
the hottest and funniest group you will find.
Twelve Gods down and one more left to find happiness. It is all Gods on deck to find her!
