It’s funny the game fate plays. Freya never imagined that ‘something new’ would be a fresh start in the big city after finding out her high school sweetheart is cheating on her. New city, new job, new life coaxed along by her best friend Laura. Everything was starting to settle down. What she wasn’t expecting was to be suddenly knocked off her feet by a new man coming into her life. Is Carter … into her life.
Is Carter everything she has been waiting for, or is there a secret about to ruin everything?

Something New is Ashlee’s debut novel and first in the Entwined In You Series. We meet Freya following a break up which led her to move to London and start a new job. She’s dedicated, hard working, funny and just has a great down to earth personality.
Carter is the rich, hot, CEO who likes to be in control and has his pick of women. But despite what you might think based on that description, we are quick to see that he is also charming, generous and kind – if not a little possessive
This was a really easy read for me, it flows well and held my interest throughout. I loved the dynamic between Carter and Freya and it felt different to the usual CEO work place trope romance. I’m not sure if I can put my finger on why, maybe because the characters are very relatable and I could imagine this actually happening! There’s plenty of steam to keep the romance lovers happy, but it isn’t excessive
Of course there is a cliffhanger because there are more books in the series, so towards the end I was expecting something to go wrong……..BUT I did not see what happened coming I didn’t have too many suspicions though I had one about Ethan which I was wrong about haha. It was a great little unexpected twist, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it all unravels in the next book when I get to it.
There are two more books in the series from Freya’s POV, but Ashlee has also released the first two from Carter’s POV, so I need to decide the order I want to read them in
I’d recommend this book to any workplace romance trope lover looking for a easy, heart warming read….as long as you want a series to binge
Poor Freya, she didn’t get an easy ride & Carter has a lot to do to redeem himself after that cliffhanger (which I didn’t see coming). I’m still rooting for Ethan so I’m off to dive into book 2 & see what happens. Great job Ashlee.
Poor Freya
Well this was a bang of a start to the series! Poor Freya can’t catch a break on so many levels. She starts with a cheating fiancé and moves on to a man who seems great at first, but is a rollercoaster ride complete with baggage that puts Hugh Grant to shame! This story was emotional, relatable, and very sexy, and I can’t wait to move onto the next book to see how poor Freya handles it all!
I read a lot of romance books, given that I am a romance writer. Of all the books I’ve read in the past few months, this one takes the cake.
I am so excited it’s a series, and I can’t wait to read on and find out what happens with these characters.
The main female has a voice and an identity of her own, and while she definitely falls for an extremely hunky fella, she doesn’t let him dictate the terms. She stands up for herself, and when she does, he can’t get enough of her.
Ashlee Rose
Ashlee Rose was a ‘New to me author’ and i was pleasantly surprised with how much i liked this book, for a while I’ve been seeing little snippets on Instagram for these books and had it on my list to read and the more i read of little teasers the more i wanted to read so while i had a little bit of time i jumped in feet first and I’m so glad i did!
I liked Freya, i loved how she wasn’t a doormat when it come to her a’hole ex (douchebag) she was down to earth and hard working and when she meets Carter she knew there was something about him that drew her in.
Carter i really liked him, admittedly I’m a little wary of him but I’m still so intrigued by him that had me keep flicking through the pages eager for find out more about him and what makes him tick.
I’m glad i decided to read these when more of them was out so i can get my binge on because that ending!
Something New by Ashlee Rose truly was something exciting for me to read. Freya is starting over away from her familiarity and into the big city after her boyfriend cheats on her. Freya is put through many trials and tribulations which leave you hoping that she’ll catch a break come the next book. There are two men after her heart, Ethan a regular guy who seems to care about her and Carter the boss of the company she works at. I can’t wait to continue on reading the next part of this series!
Is something new what Freya needs in her life?u2063u2063

While this started off as a slow burn read for me it actually really helped to build up a picture of Freya and what her life was like before meeting Carter. Running from a failed relationship with her childhood sweetheart to having two gorgeous men interested in her, Freya’s life has definitely taken an interesing twist. Will it be Ethan or Carter? I wanted to think of Carter as a cad because of his situation before Freya but honestly I just think that he has never met anyone he has felt as deeply for. I have a feeling that his money always gets him what he wants but Freya can’t be bought or even enamoured by the trappings of wealth. Ethan is interesting too but we really have only had a couple of glimpses of him so far and as for cheating scoundrel Jake…hmm no…Jake can’t be the one, can he? I am going to read the second book right now to find out! u2063u2063
I highly recommend that you read u2063u2063

Really great and fun story. Freya is a charecter someone can easily relate to. Really rooting for Carter even though Ethan is cute. Look forward to the next one.
First I would like to thank Ashlee for contacting me and introducing her lovely books to me!
Freya is young, beautiful and has ambition. She has gone through a traumatic break-up. When she decides to pickup and start a new life in London with a new dream job that should kick start her career. She finds herself struggling at times personally and kinda doesn’t have the best of luck in finding that special someone.
Luck on her side she meets 2 gentleman at the same time. Freya is cautious and must choose between the 2 relationships.. Friendship or Lovers…
Everything seems to be going well and perfect..
When things are too perfect there’s always a catch and indeed there is!
Something New by Ashlee Rose was fast paced and easy to read. The main characters Freya and Carter were so good together and they had so much emotion and passion. You can feel the sexual tension and heartache with each page.
