I told myself it was just the thrill of the chase. That what I felt for her wasn’t real. She was my best friend’s little sister. She was off limits. Yet, the temptation was too much and I betrayed the only promise I’d ever made to her brother. I touched her. I fell for her. And then I left her. Now I’m standing at the altar as his best man ten years later, waiting for her to walk towards me. All … years later, waiting for her to walk towards me. All I’ve got to do is prove to both her and my best friend that I’m worthy of her.
If I get my way, the next time she walks down an aisle to me, she’ll be in a white dress.
It should be simple…the maid of honor and the best man are meant to hook up, right?
It’s Wedding Season!

It was a short and sweet Flirt Club story. I liked it for the most part but two things persisted in my mind throughout the story:
1). I never saw a compelling reason for the break up 10 years ago. He walked away but WHY? And he stayed away for 10 years, again… WHY??? And what’s so compelling about him that Bryony is still stuck on him 10 years later, cuz from where I’m sitting he seems like a jerk.
2) I never saw a compelling reason for the pursuit by the hero to get the heroine back. Why now? Why pursue now? He professes to want her, but he was sleeping with his “ex” — not really a girlfriend but a steady booty call — up until just a few weeks ago. Hardly the signs of someone serious about his true love.
So, these things just stuck with me through this fairly short book. I’d really been looking forward to Bryony’s book. She’s a wedding planner who doesn’t want her own wedding. She’s been a minor character in other books.
I was fairly satisfied with the HEA. I think maybe the book was just too short to properly develop the backstory and make the hero likable for me.

A great second chance love story
It’s makes me happy when characters from prior stories get their chances at love. Bryony has loved Freddie since they were teenagers but he broke her heart when he got scared and left. Now, 10 years later he’s back for his best friend’s wedding, Bryony’s brother, to fix it and win back his girl. Love, steam, great story about second chances- what more could you want during Wedding Season.
This was another great story by Tracy Lorraine. I have been waiting to read Bryony’s story.
Bryony and Freddie share a past. They had a secret relationship before he left her. He is her brotjer’s best friend. Now they are at her brother’s wedding and feelings come to the surface. Can Freddie convince her that he made a mistake and to give him another shot?

Something Borrowed was another great read by Tracy Lorraine. It’s been 10 years since Freddie left town and Bryony, the only girl he has ever loved. Now he is back for his best friend’s wedding. Freddie has his own agenda though. He wants his girl back. His best friend Mac also happens to be Bryony’s older brother. She was so hurt by Freddie, Bryony never wanted to get married. Ironically she is a wedding planner. Her gift to her brother and his fiancee? She is in charge of the wedding. Bryony has to step in unexpectedly as the maid of honor. Freddie knows this is his chance as best man to win back the love of his life. 5 stars!
Freddie and MAC have been best friends for years. The problem is Bryony, Mac’s little sister. When they were teeenagers they had a relationship which Freddie abruptly ended, what happens when the see one another again?

Part of the A Wedding Season Series a short quick story to read. A great storyline that kept me turning pages. I enjoyed reading how Bryony and Freddy get their happy ending. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Bryony is a wedding planner, but her friend Vaughan remarks that for someone who loves weddings, she sure has an issue about being involved with one. This wedding was for her big brother. She had offered her wedding planner service as a wedding gift, sure that it would prevent her from being in the bridal party. After a few drinks, Vaughan at last thinks she has the answer as to why Bryony holds herself back from participation. Who, she asks Bryony, had made her not want a happily-ever-after of her own! After 10 years, with her heart ripped out, she wasn’t going to answer that and she hurried to the bar to get Vaughan another drink.
It had been 10 years ago that Bryony’s brother’s best friend, Freddie, made a huge mistake choosing to walk out of Bryony’s life. Afraid that if he loved her and pursued a relationship, his friendship with her big brother would be destroyed. So he chose to give her up. Betrayed, she decided that love and marriage were not for her anymore. It just wasn’t worth the risk of a devastating broken heart.
It was difficult enough that she knew Freddie was to be the best man at her brother’s wedding. But Bryony gets dragged in at the last minute as maid-of-honor when the pregnant maid-of-honor’s doctor tells her she cannot fly there with her condition so unstable! The drama queen bride was not willing to compromise in any way on her plans, so Bryony had no choice.
This time around, the 18-year-old boy who let his fears make him walk out on the woman he loved is now a grown man who wants a second chance to make things right. He will have his work cut out for him since Bryony is not willing to let him hurt her like before. Seeing him again makes her determination waver as she feels those old feelings still exist. Only the fear of going through that pain again holds her back. Will Freddie be able to show her that he is ready to love her now and give her the life they both deserve? Or will she be the one who now lets her fears force her to turn and run?
I enjoyed the story, but 10 years is a long time to waste! I’m glad Bryony didn’t make it too easy on him – he deserved lots of squirming. Does she finally relent? Can she trust him this time around? Grab your copy and see if things work out for them.
Tracy Lorraine has come through with another excellent short story. I loved the storyline of a brother’s best friend and younger sister romance. And it was good to read Bryony’s story!! I only wish it was longer…as usual with her short stories. I look forward to reading more in the future!

She was definitely in the wrong field of work if she feels that way. I kiw she was hurt a long time ago but life moves on and sometime gives you the chance for a do over. She always knew he was the one for her. He felt the same and did something stupid. He made it up to her by keeping his promise to always be there for her. Live a happy ending.

Freddie made the biggest mistake of his life 10 years ago when he let Bryony get away. He may have been a scared 18 year old boy back then but now he is a confident man who is determined to get his second chance with the one who got away. Bryony has no plans to make it easy for him though. Once bitten twice shy and she refuses to let Freddie crush her like he did before. However those plans soon become harder and harder to enforce and Bryony is stuck wanting the only man she has ever wanted and being scared to take that leap again. So can Freedie convince her he is worth the shot or will her fear keep her from taking a second chance at love? This was a sweet book I just wish he came to his senses and grew some balls and went after Bryony sooner. I mean 10 years you supposedly love her and know you made the worst mistake of your life but your still out there screwing random women instead of going after your dream girl? It just get kind of annoying after a while reading about the indecisiveness of boys. Still a good book though and I was happy to see Bryony putting up a fight at least a little bit.

She’s ready to run. He’s back to stay. Can a love that ended in heartache, survive a second chance? Bryony and Freddie were a romance interrupted. She gave him her heart. He feared losing his soul. With the chance to get it right, finally within their grasp, will they open their hearts to happily ever after. Something Borrowed crams a great deal of heartache into a sliver of a story. The drama is prevalent, the emotions are deep and the romance is an unforgettable delight.
I loved this second chance romance between Bryony and Freddie. The characters and plot are developed and well written. This is a fast and sweet story – perfect for an afternoon escape. You won’t want to miss this or any of the other A Wedding Season Series books.

This is a well written book with strong characters who have a second chance at romance. Bryony and Freddie have a past. Ten years after he ran,he’s back for his best friend and her brother’s wedding. The author does a great job bringing the story to life with all the emotions and steam as well as the determination on his part to win her back. I enjoyed reading their story.

Something Borrowed by Tracy Lorraine. Great new series featuring fantastic authors. This book is short but filled with a good mix of drama and sexy scenes of course my favorite the HEA. I would recommend this book and author to others. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This story is very sweet and short. It is also romantic but still leaves very little behind. It is despite it’s qualities also somehow bland so unfortunately I cannot give it any more than three stars.

This is a trope that I will always enjoy reading. I liked the premise of the story in current day – Bryony and Freddie being in the same place at the same time after ten years apart. I would have liked for the backstory of what happened between them previously to be earlier in the story, and also for Freddie to be a little less cocky about what would happen when Bryony saw him again. Otherwise, for being a short story, I liked the pace of it, and how you got a sense of the characters in such a short time.

Eddie is Mac’s best friend but ten years ago he left because he was in love with Bryony who is Mac’s sister. Bryony has vowed never to marry after Freddie broke her heart ten years ago but with her brothers wedding coming up she knows he will be there and she dreads seeing him. Freddie still loves her and hopes she still loves him because he doesn’t intend to leave without her. Can Freddie convince Bryony that he is here to stay?

Bryony is Freddie’s best friends sister, she’s also the woman he’s been in love with for 10 years. When he left 10 years ago with no explanation he was scared and not sure his best would approve.
Now he’s back for his best friend wedding and can’t let Bryony go a a second time. Will she give him a second chance?
Anything can happen at a wedding where romance is fresh and flowing. Don’t miss Freddie and Byrony as they discover second chances are possible.
